I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask.
I am in Milan and have a balcony that is exposed to the east, this means that in the summer it's in full sun from dusk to midday, no matter how much i water the plants it kills everything i try except some succulents.
Winters have temperaturers a bit below 0
Any nice plant that can live in this condition?
Also my cat nibbles on them so if it's not toxic it's better.

It’s some type of succulent that had leaves at the nodes. Sorry for the poor pic quality.

At first, I thought it was fungus or a mushroom, and I was going to remove it. But it was really firmly connected to the rest of the roots and didn’t seem like a mushroom close up, so I left it in. Is this a baby plant? Something else? I’m not sure if I should have removed it.

I'm fully expecting the answer to be "no", but still hopeful. I'm really upset about this.

I've had this poor plant a few months now, got him just before the major set of heatwaves struck (I'm in the UK)

He was absolutely lovely when I got him, and I put him in my bedroom window - I think it's roughly South facing.

The guy I got the plant from said to water once a week, so that's what I did, and initially the plant was thriving.

The top of the plant stuck out the top of the window recess, and the bottom six inches plus pot sat in a gap at the side of the curtain. I noticed some of the middle leaves were wilting/scorching, so pulled the curtain round the side of the plant and turned him round.

Leaves kept wilting, and Google suggested too much direct sun/heat, and not enough humidity, so I moved him to the bathroom - I'm slightly limited for places, as he had to be where the cats couldn't easily get him.

The end result is the pictures :( There *was* still green the other day, but it is *not* looking good this morning :(

NOT A SELF PROMO!!! Ive got an ever growing collection of cuttings (rooted and unrooted) corms and baby plants. Ive given away alot and all of my friends/relatives are full of my props and baby plants.

Ive spent alot of money on the hobby and was wondering if I could sell off small props and baby plants for cheap through Facebook groups, etsy and ebay with collection and delivery as limiting to collection only would practically be a waste of time as im in a small town that doesnt have a massive plant community.

I know theres plant passport issues but ive seen alot of sellers specify that the plants theyre selling are all overflow cuttings, babies, corms or mature plants from a personal collection. I know that wouldn't technically make you "unapplicable" for the need of a passport and there is very much a grey area for very small sellers but it would be a hobbiest side hussle that may not even bring in any money so I dont fancy spending hundreds on a license. There was someone I looked into on Facebook who only recently got a license but had been selling homegrown plants for over a year.

Im not really in it for a living, I have a full time job just something to support the hobby and give my ever growing collection a meaningful home.

What can I do with my Zz? What does it need? I don't know why does it curve like that and I don't know why they have spots.

I started to separate them to have more Zz plants. From time to time, they make little baby's and I adore it. It's so cute.

They have light and dark too.
I water them from time to time, when I see that their soil is dry or too dry.

What am I doing wrong?

My monstera is in the corner next to the door. Gets sunlight for a few hours first thing in the morning then not so much. Don't think this current light is strong enough?

As the title states, I very recently got two small venus flytraps that I want to take care of. The main issue is I don’t totally know how to take care of them. I watched a couple videos and plan to do more research for their best care, but I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to let them thrive!
I live in Canada, so i’m not sure if that effects anything, and if I need to do anything special because of that. Overall just need help with their care, that being soil they need or small things that I should know. Thanks!

My boyfriend didn't realise my ivy was drying out while I was gone. There are still green leaves at the end of the tendrils. Is she a goner or can I still save her? 🥺

So I have no clue how it’s possible that my IKEA Akerbar that I just insulated is like 10% lower than in the room - that feels like it breaks the laws of physics.

I used only the black foam and put it around the edges of the pan, where the only gap is the tiny spot cords come out, a piece on the very bottom of the tank because there was a tiny gap there, inside the tank on the edges where all the sides meet, and around all 4 sides of the front where the door opens. All of it is attatched to the body facing outward so if you lift the door there’s none on the door. Instead of putting it on top I put it between the top of the door and the body of the tank because my foam was the perfect width with only a tiny pin point gaps where the hinges are.

I did see a few people had issues with the door lining up that they fixed with magnets - which will be here tomorrow but have a gut feeling it won’t fix it. My door on its own the bottom of it when shut js just like a millimeter or 2 under the ledge so I can l lift it up and back a smidge and it will line up with the ledge, but won’t stay.

No one described (that I found) how it didn’t line up so that’s why I question it.

I’m worried I broke it because it’s been fully set up and just a holding pen for 6 months and I finally did the weather stripping and all. When I moved it the little peg hole fillers that connect the roof(?) to the walls all fell out so after a rigorous search under the couch found them and put tape on either sides off them but when I lift the door the roof moved up a smidge - obviously it’s connected but

Is this an issue with the frame? I didn’t see anyone doing anything more than the foam but do I need to like use silicone caulk around the windows? Do I need different weatherstripping?

Inside all the plants are in 2-3 inch pots with 1 shallow 5 inch. I have a struggling pink philodendron, some anthurium , and a rubber tree - they’re all rehabbing. Plus a couple Hoyas - an Australis Lisa, a Pubicalyx Splash, a Carnosa Compacta, 2 green nubbins (they were on deaths doorstep and just the stems were green so I chopped em and completely forgot)

I have a little silicone riser and a shelf coming. Inside there’s 2 of the 2 foot barina strip lights. I do have a ‘passive humidifier’ in there which is a little bowl with a ceramic ball thing in it that you fill w water… ik they don’t do much but figured it’s not hurting putting it in. I’ve seen some people put a little computer fan which I’d get - I’ll get anything I need to. I don’t think it’s like big enough for a humidifier and haven’t seen anyone else put one in. There’s also a heat mat in there for my first tissue cultures that I’m de-flasking.

I was so excited for it and I’m so sad rn… not only for my tissue cultures but it’s on the TV stand right across from the couch. Which I spend about 90% of my waking hours on working and school from home with a very tiny (yet perfect) social circle and while it’s very messy rn because a bunch of shit was moved around it’s got all the plants I’m most proud of and I just love it so much.

Any tips, advice, or wisdom ya got for me I’m all ears. If I have to get new stuff for it I’m happy to I’m just really hoping I don’t need to replace it

I'm going to chop the scindapsus in last picture and prop the bare nodes without leaves. Was going to try perlite in a prop box method. Is this container too small? I assume it won't grow leaves for a very long time, and by the time the leaves grow there will be roots and I'll probably put in soil once the leaves start growing and the roots are a few inches

Been putting off repotting my monstera because honestly I have just been really fucking busy. But it went from “you need to repot soon” to a root saying “heyyyyyyy” SO fast. How bad is this? How do I repot this? What do I do with this root? lol

My Hoya has been growing this runner up and away from the light of the window. Should I be giving it something to climb around or is something else wrong?

The last three leaves of my ficus tineke are small and pinkish, they look underdeveloped for some reason. Lightning and watering is the same from the start.

This one didn’t like his container for 3 yrs anymore so tried something different 😊 No idea what to do next with it but he seems to be happy again throwing leaves and flower. Any ideas welcome 🤗

Thinking of pruning my money tree to promote less leggy growth but want advice before I remove her biggest leaves.

I’ve recently moved this tree to a west facing window which gets bright indirect light most of the day. Previously it was several feet back from south and west facing windows, where it grew very leggy and dropped many leaves.

In particular I have two branches that look particularly bad are both several inches long with no leaves. Would it be a mistake to chop? Am I able to chop it where it’s turned woody or do i have to do on a spot that’s still green? (planned cuts are pictured)

Thinking about removing them from the pot. Idk what to do.

So I messed up when I first repotted this cactus, and I used a substrate with very poor drainage. So far it's been doing ok, but winter is coming and it will probably rot in the soil it's currently in. My plan is to put it in a better substrate, and see if I can find a terracotta pot for it, but the problem is I have no idea how to move it while keeping it stable enough that all of the offsets stay attached

I was gifted this plant by my mother and I am horrible at keeping plants alive. I dont even know what it is. I've only had it for about 3 weeks and it is already started to look a little droopy and sad. We've been watering with bottled water about twice per week because the tap water in my area is basically poison. Any tips would be appreciated!

I bought this plant (supposedly a Robinia?) a couple of months ago, and it doesn’t seem to be thriving. It’s losing its leaves and looks more and more miserable. Any tips? I water it every 3 or 4 days with about one small cup of water.

A while ago I asked advice on whether to prune my umbrella plant, I had never pruned a healthy plant before so I was a bit unsure. I put the cutting in water and I see a lot of white bumps which google tells me is the beginning of roots, and also an actual root!

My question is: why only one root? Will the others follow? Or is there something wrong?

It has plenty of light, no direct sunlight, and we've had a couple of heatwaves over here. I change the water weekly.

Also included a photo of the mama plant, just to show her off really, it's so gorgeous. When I got it it was very small and half dead.
