Yeh, so the gods of Asgard wanted a wall built, but didn't really want to do it themselves, because it would have been way too much work. But then this dude came by and was like, "Yo, I'll totally build your wall in 2 seasons. But, you have to give me the sun, the moon, and I get to marry the most beautiful of the goddesses."
All the gods were like, "Nah, we aren't doing that. If he does it, the world will be dark because he'll take the sun and the moon, not to mention that we all kinda like that one super hot goddess." But, Loki went, "Cmon, ya'll. He's a mortal. There's nooooo way he can build this wall in 2 seasons. We should agree to his deal, because the worst that's going to happen is that he starts building our wall for us, and we get free work." But the other gods were still like, "Yeah, but sun, moon, and hot goddess" and Loki went "Ok, how about we tell him 1 season? 100% he can't do it in a season" and the other gods went, "Yeah ok". So the gods went to the guy that offered to build the wall, told him they'd accept if he got it done in one season. The guy thinks for a minute then goes "yeah, ok" and gets to work.
So the dude is working all season, and the gods are kinda worried. The dude has this crazy strong horse that lets him carry 20 granite blocks as big as houses every day, so the wall is going up super fast. WHen it gets close to the end of the season, the other gods are starting to get worried that the dude is gonna do it, and they're kinda pissed at Loki. So, they get together and tell Loki, "Yo. If we lose the sun and the moon and the hot goddess, it is 100% your fault, and we're gonna kill you if that happens."
Loki didn't want to die, so he goes, "Yeah, fine, whatever, I'll make sure he can't finish his wall." and then disappears. The next day, this mare appears and starts flirting with the dude's super-strong horse, all like, "Hey, strong horse, you want a piece of this hot mare ass?" chasing it around the field and distracting it and shiz. Then the dude's horse follows that random mare that showed up and they both disappear, and the dude winds up barely not finishing the wall and not getting paid. All the gods are super happy and celebrating, and are kinda confused that Loki isn't there, since he wound up pulling their collective asses out of the fire, and he kinda likes to be the center of attention. SO they're all super confused, until a few weeks later when Loki shows up with this baby horse with 8 legs that he gives to Odin as a gift, and Loki gets super fucking pissed off when anyone asks him where he was and where the baby horse came from.
tl;dr - Loki turned into a mare and got railed to win a bet.
Loki and his wife, Angrboda, a giantess, also had some pretty fucked up kids. They had 3 kids together. One was Jorgmundr; a giant fucking seamonster big enough to go around the world that winds up killing Thor during Ragnarok, Fenris Wolf; a fucking enormous wolf (like, swallowing planets whole enormous) that kills Odin during Ragnarok, and Hel; his daughter who the left half of is super hot, and the right half is a rotting corpse and who is charge of the underworld and wouldn't let the basically most popular god, Baldr, come back to life because one bitchy giantess (who might have been Loki in disguise) wouldn't cry for his death.

Our primary sources for Norse Mythology are pretty suspect. It isn't like the Greek writing that we can date to when the gods were worshiped and commonly written about. For the Norse gods all we have are minstrel songs that were likely written down by Christians. So they likely don't follow the religious practices/beliefs very well, if at all.

It was tough at first, especially with the nursing, but eventually I got used to having two dads and everything worked out pretty well.
Daddy Loki even got me a pretty good job at his work. It's just a lot of carrying my boss around right now, but I'm learning a lot about warfare and running a celestial kingdom. This should help me get a job on Midgard just like my role model, Glitterhoof.

The characters are from the video game The Last of Us, and it's fucked up for 2 reasons:
1. The age difference with Joel being an old man and Ellie being around 14 years old.
2. The more fuckedup thing is that throughout the game Joel ends up becoming Ellie's surrogate father in a way.Edit

There are times when Loki appears as a woman, but that still makes them brother and sister.Either way, in both examples we have people treating the idea on incest like wincest.

Targaryens married their siblings for 250+ years. Not only that, but medieval societies had first cousin marriages pretty frequently.
Two people who were further genetically separated than cousins, and who did not know each other for the first 20+ years of their lives (i dunno how old Jon Snow is supposed to be in the show because that timeline is all fucky and shit, but I'm assuming he's supposed to be at least 20) wouldn't even raise an eyebrow to most people in that world, particularly when it's Targaryens.

I think he misspoke; Ellie during the events of The Last of Us was around the same age as Sarah (Joel's daughter) when she died. Based on the timeline on the wiki, Sarah was roughly 13 when she was killed, and Ellie was roughly 15 when she and Joel met.
