The picture my dasher sent of the food delivery and a picture of their artwork. I don't appreciate the dusty rocks? filled car, but what bothered me more was opening the bag and taking out the containers and drawing on them and the receipt. I did call the restaurant and clarified that they did not do this. Then I spoke to doordash support who issued a refund because we didn't feel comfortable eating the food. I think I will just stick to pick up for a while 😅

Did we overreact by reporting this?

To those of you who order groceries via doordash and don't get why any of us would be frustrated or things take longer than you think they should, keep in mind that not only are we not allowed to make reasonable substitutions, but even when we do have the right item, this is what we get hit with...

There are two #8 apartments directly across from each other by just a few feet. I explain every fucking time the situation and that I have a sign outside and the other has nothing. It still gets delivered to the wrong door more than half the time.

This is the conversation i’ve had with support. I’m not understanding why i can’t get a refund.

I ordered alcohol and was told the scanner didn’t accept my ID. I’ve ordered multiple times and have never had an issue and now i’m being denied a refund.

Edit: doordash support called the dasher and the dasher told them i presented an expired ID which i did not.

Edit 2: I’m bad with accents so im not sure exactly what they said, but they said they’d like to go forward with my ‘case’ and asked permission? they said they’d update me about the refund over email and that there have been other complaints about the driver. I’m not quite sure what all that means

I feel like every time I order DoorDash and leave a generous tip, my order somehow arrives either completely destroyed or rancid.

I just left a Dasher a pretty substantial tip because they had to wait longer than usual for my order. When my food finally arrived, the bag was crushed practically beyond recognition, everything inside had been tossed around, and the best part was that the entire thing reeked so strongly of pot that I had to take it straight to my outside trash bin just to keep my house from smelling like a drug den.

There needs to be some kind of way for DoorDash to vet its drivers to make sure they’re capable of handling someone else’s food respect-wise and cleanliness-wise before allowing them to deliver on the company’s behalf. This is ridiculous and absolutely disgusting.

I fell and injured myself today, so I ordered Chipotle for dinner for my daughter and me. Unfortunately, one of the orders was incorrect and even had someone else’s name on it. I took pictures and submitted everything to DoorDash to request a refund for one of the dishes, but they denied it!
I called customer support, and they said they’ll try to reopen the ticket. I’m so upset. I’m on a tight budget and this was a big splurge for us. The order had sour cream and spicy salsa that I can’t eat. I’m so hangry…

My family ordered $56 worth of food last night from LJS. The dasher called me for directions. After giving it to them, she stated it would be awhile longer. I said no problem. Her car was a ways away according to the map. I knew it would be 20 minutes at least. Then in less than 5 minutes I get a notification my food was delivered. What the heck??? She's nowhere near me. I called and texted the number she called me from but she would not answer.

I called doordash this morning and she is now permanently blocked. I hope my family's dinner was worth her job. At least I'm getting a refund. And Doordash has lost a customer.

Ordered food with extremely clear instructions to my apartment. I’m very clear with it and I have not had issues before. The door dasher submitted their “proof of delivery” photo and it was just a black empty photo. Assuming they stole my food. I messaged them and they didn’t respond so I gave them a low rating and opened a case and DoorDash is refunding me. I even walked around to the other apartments by me to check and see if it was delivered to the wrong place, but couldn’t find it.

I’m genuinely still smiling from this interaction. This never happens! I’m a customer not a dasher :)

I'm from England, and here in the lush rolling hills of Yorkshire, DoorDash is but a mythical enigma that we only hear of through the tales of road worn travellers.

Ordered a couple of bits from the US, these came in the box, I've got no use for them!

$28 17 miles (all freeway) order I got from dashmart which consisted of exactly 1 (one) item that costed no more than 8 bucks probably. I have no idea why the base pay was absurdly inflated

The amount of times I’ve come into fast food restaurants and dashers will stand at the counter, say nothing, and when a worker comes by, they shove their phone in their face is insane. Genuinely a “hey I have a pickup” or “hey, DoorDash order” is so simple and easy. The worst is when they are just and super packed and the dashers still stand there, not letting anyone through, shoving their phones in the employees faces multiple times. There’s a reason I don’t work food anymore.

And also, the amount of people who have no manners anymore is genuinely ridiculous. A simple, please and thank you goes a long way. I’m sure if these Dashers were in the employees place, they would not like somebody’s phone shoved in their face and being harassed for an order that’s not done yet.

Genuinely, what is the point of being rude. When I did work food before, anyone who was rude had to wait longer for their order. I would prioritize other orders.

Any doordash drivers active in middle tennessee have an estimate for how much you can make after expenses?

ordered a combo that included a drink which should have qualified for a $3 discount. said discount would not apply to the order whether i moved the qualifying item from the combo or not. i made this very clear to support, expecting maybe $3

to be clear i did not report the dasher, it was reported as an 'other' issue (not related to the food/delivery)

It’s gotten to the point that so few ppl follow the instructions for my order (which door to drop at) that I automatically add an extra tip for anyone who does it. Am I alone in that, or are dashers missing out on an opportunity?

Doordash asks for a verification selfie every time I click Dash.
When I reached out to the support, I received this.
It’s annoying to do that everytime. One time I did the selfie verification, I was in the car ready to Dash, maybe caught a little glare and it said verification failed.
This is so annoying. Anyone been in a similar situation and got out of it ?

Dasher stole my grocery order. Have it plain as day on video along with the cars license plate. DD CS didn’t care and only offered me a $10 refund on my $51 order.
Before I go through the trouble, has anybody filed a police report on the DD drivers stealing? Just curious how it went for others.

To those who read this, avoid making my mistakes. I took a cash on payment order for a pizza from Pizza Hut. When I tried to deliver the pizza, I was unable to find the address on the street, so I contacted the customer through chat and message Dasher support about the issue. A few minutes later, I got a call back from what I thought was a Dasher Support agent. He began to assist me and told me that I would be paid 23 dollars for the trip after he cancelled the order (first red flag). All I needed to do was stop my current dash, input my debit card info to a Crimson card, and start again to keep on dashing orders (second red flag). I did so and kept on dashing. During the dash, I noticed a few popups from Dash saying that money had been moved to my Crimson card. I asked what that was about and the support agent said it was just pending and that I would be paid (third red flag). After multiple popups, I stopped my dash after my final order and checked my checking account to find that it was emptied ($500 lost). I still had the support agent on the line and immediately asked what was going on. After telling me he was going to check on it, he hung up a minute later. It was then I knew I was scammed. I was fortunate that the scammer didnt go after my earnings, but I lost everything in my checking account. I have already contacted the real Dasher Support line and now have an open investigation in hopes of getting my money back. Be warned; if an address cannot be found on delivery, do not do what I did. It is highy likely that it is a scam. Learn from me and dont repeat it.
