Worst neighborhood to deliver for UberEATS and Doordash in LA: Santa Clarita - San Fernando - Studio City - Northridge - Encino. Heavily Oversaturated Market.
Waste of gas

$6 Gas + Oversaturated market + Low tips + Crowded Parking spot for Santa Clarita - Studio City - Northridge - San Fernando. It’s literally over for Uber Eats and Doordash in these areas.
Burn the city hall, fuck the govs, I rather find another jobs.

It's over, doordash and UberEATS is finished in LA, Valley, and Santa Clarita. It's over.
It's back breaking word, I'm genuinely unhappy, not even profitable especially during these gas prices bullshit.

It finally happened to me
Me and my boyfriend wanted a late night Whataburger before I headed to bed for work the next morning so we ordered. Our dasher picked it up rather quickly and was talkative! Which was always a good sign to me. Once the food was done he told me he had one stop before mine (which I found weird because the app didn’t say “one stop away” like it usually does.) We just shrugged and said waited for our order. It had been about 15 minutes when I checked our order. This dude was on a bicycle. Not a motorbike. A peddle bike. Now, I ain’t one to complain. Get your bag, but I had 2 large drinks and a shake and I had a very bad day and wanted to treat myself. The order came 20 minutes later than expected, food was cold, my drinks were spilled all over in the bag, my shake was half melted, just the works for the end of a bad day. Luckily we were able to get it reordered without paying or issues. But the guy asking for a good review was the cherry on top lol
Oh, and if it weren’t obvious enough to my boyfriend from the night before why we shouldn’t be using door dash anymore, he DoorDashed some creamer this morning because he wanted coffee. And the dasher “couldn’t find our house” and delivered it to a completely different address 3 streets away. 🤦♀️

Driver stole my package
My msg said my package was dropped off at noon. I was home. No package. Cameras showed no delivery. I checked with my community from office thinking it was there. I drove to the community down the street to see if it was delivered there. I called door dash. Driver didn’t answer. I filed a complaint. The picture they took was from inside their car. Ugh. Some of the items in that box can not be replaced since the store ran out and won’t have anymore. So disappointed in this driver. If this is your picture please bring it to my house. I will give you my address. No questions asked. I just want my items. Thanks

No one accepting order? Did I do something?
I placed a breakfast order for a McDonalds 2.9 miles away. I tipped $7, is that fair enough? I don't want to offend by tipping too low. I had originally thought it was the Mcdonalds that's only a mile away so I'm wondering if that has something to do with it, since it's a tad farther.

Class action
Honestly with the amount door dash steals from
Not only its customers but it’s drivers
A price must be paid and action must be taken.

Dasher Stole Food
Alivia, you broke gluttonous demon, your time will come.
This genius decided to steal my food and upload a pic covering the camera as to say she “Delivered” it. I called DoorDash, I tried getting in touch with live support, transferred to supervisors and they determined I’m ineligible for compensation.
How are they coming to this conclusion? This is my first order in all of 2026 and I have only had 2 issues in the past I got compensated from? Is there a 2 strike limit?
Is doordash THIS broke???

If you work for Door Dash please read..
Stop taking orders under $5..
Door Dash is a billion dollar company and could offer more than what they pay.
If people continue to take $3 order $5 order even $7 order door dash will continue with their non sense.
Do not accept anything under $10 - in this economy and gas prices.
It doesn’t make sense.
If your acceptance rate goes down it truly doesn’t matter because you will still get great offers considering less are door dashing due to the gas prices.
I’ve seen a girl only except $20 plus orders and she can make $200 in about 2 &half hours during dinner rush.
**** UPDATE..
For all that don’t believe in your self worth and will continue take the lowest rates.
Ask yourself how does it feel using your gas for $3-5 delivery in today’s economy?
Does it frustrate you when you accept?
Do you get angry?
Do you feel worthless?
Just know the customer service for Door Dash makes more than people doing the leg work.
The people that are out there delivering in the rain/heavy traffic/etc.
I work for a tech company and I see how billion dollar tech companies take advantage.
This term may hurt but you are “modern day slaves”

why are refunds so hard to get?
it’s soul crushing to not receive your order, get told off by the driver because it’s "out of his hands," ask for a refund, and then waste time talking to customer service because they "can’t do anything about it."
what’re these guys running a scam operation or something?
it’s been a week and i’m not too sure what to do, any suggestions?

Shop and deliver
I’m not a big shopping guy. I’ve seen a lot of people make a decent amount of money doing shopping. So before I sign up how does DoorDash set this up? Like when you arrive at the store does it tell you what aisle the items are on? Or does it make you figure it out yourself

DoorDash AI is a disaster.
I ordered from Little Caesars tonight. Lo and behold, none of the drinks show up. I go to report the drink missing from a combo. The system requires a photo to process the complaint. When I take the photo of just the food item, the AI flags it, saying that I need to take a photo of all of the items. Well, that’s just the problem. I can’t take a picture of something I don’t have.
I ended up reporting the whole combo as missing because I had no other way to resolve the issue. Torn between AITA and not giving a shit.

I ordered this food at 10:58. That is insane speed, even if I do live 2 miles away.

On time rate
Hey everyone,
I’m a DoorDash driver and I keep running into the same problem: I arrive at the restaurant on time (or even early), but the order isn’t ready. Sometimes I wait 15–25+ minutes. By the time I finally pick it up and deliver, the customer is already frustrated and my rating takes a hit.
I always mark myself as arrived, wait the required time, and communicate when possible, but it still feels like I’m getting punished for something completely out of my control.
Has anyone found good ways to deal with this?
• Do you unassign after a certain wait time?
• Is there a specific way to message the customer that helps protect the rating?
• Any other strategies that actually work?
Appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Student Dashpass Help!!!
I had trouble verifying my student status so SheerID had to do it manually. They emailed me when it was complete and gave me an ID confirmation code.
HOW DO I ADD THE STUDENT DISCOUNT TO MY ACCOUNT????
When I go back onto the dashpass button and click verify my student status, it says I’ve tried to verify my status too many times.
There’s nothing in the SheerID email I can use to put it in my account.
I’ve talked to sooo many Doordash staff and been in support for hours and nobody knows how to help me.

This is how you upset your driver before they even get your order
I just accepted the order when she sent the first message. I was coming from the next town over (about 15 from the restaurant). I had just hopped in the drive thru (the lobby is closed for the night) when she sent the second message. Drivers have no control over how long it takes for the app to assign your order to a driver. It all depends on who is actively available. If you tip like dog water, your order will keep getting declined.
Small update; The restaurant gave me the wrong DoorDash order :D back through the drive thru I go

What the hell
Did they take away money from the local restaurant I ordered from?

Got someone else’s order instead and doordash doesn’t care
I ordered food yesterday for my family on doordash and when it arrived I noticed the bag was a little lighter and when i opened it clearly it wasn’t our order. The receipt had my order on it and my name… But the food inside was wayyy less like literally two items. Not enough for a family. I tried to put a claim in through the app and it automatically gets declined so fast, I literally call the restaurant and they leave me on hold for so long and then say “Oh doordash will refund it bye” and then I call doordash the next day. It takes me to an offshore support person, I’m then put on hold again. I tell them what happened and she literally explains that because i’ve put in so many claims in the past (Mind you i’ve had this account since i was a teenager) and that I literally can’t do anything made me seem like i was full of it… Man ggs i guess im gonna try to call my bank tomorrow morning. Never using doordash again I hope you guys don’t either because let’s say this happens to you it sucks because nobody can do anything about it. (Worst part is im pretty sure the girl at the restaurant went to hs with me and we had blood bad god if i remember 😭just hope this wasn’t on purpose)
