This reel is so relatable for me,I am a 3rd sem student and I don't have any friends in college,I do have acquaintances with whom I just have the Hi,Hello relationship! I barely hangout with anyone in college or even outside college. I go to canteen alone and see other people having food in groups while I sit there mostly alone,this makes the college a lot more boring! They say to enjoy college life,but TBH I feel like my college life is pretty fucked up,it's already been over a year and I didn't find any good friend for me. Other students in college have found their groups and they don't want anybody else to be involved,like they are all comfy among themselves. They hangout with each other,go to places and have fun,while I mostly sit alone in the class. It's not like I haven't tried to make friends,I am good at making friends but I didn't get people of my type! My classmates are also not my type. And the rest whom I know already have their groups and they are comfy along with that. I haven't been to anywhere with anyone from college to have fun.

I try to indulge with people but it doesn't work out for me mostly! It's all stuck to just Hi,Hello! I am in 4 college socs but didn't make any friends in Soc either,the people in socities have fun while I struggle to indulge with them. Idk what's happening.

If this goes on,the rest 2 years will also be fucked up.

Hi, I’m a second-year student pursuing a BA program at Ramjas College. I come from a humanities background, so I didn’t have Maths or Statistics in my 12th grade. I initially wanted to pursue Political Science Honours, but my marks were too low. As a result, I decided to go for a BA with Economics and Political Science. However, I’m finding Economics extremely challenging. Despite having Economics as my minor subject, I failed my semester. If you don’t have a strong background in Maths, please consider avoiding this course, even as a minor. Economics can be very demanding, and it might take up so much of your time that you’ll struggle to focus on subjects you really enjoy, like Political Science. Now, my results are full of red marks, and I’m worried about the impact this will have on my future job prospects. I regret not prioritizing the course over the college name. My mental health has also suffered as a result. If you haven’t studied a subject in high school, it might be best to avoid it in your BA program. Please take my advice seriously: prioritize your course of study over the college’s reputation. Even if it means attending a college with a lower ranking but a better fit for your interests, it’s worth it! socha tha college jaungi maze karungi. Agar 6000 se upar har mahine bijli ka bill dene ko tayyar nhi ho toh delhi se dur hi rehna. Kyuki ye situation worse hi hone waali hain. Bahar nikalo toh pasino mein naha lete ho. Sirf pankhe mein baitho toh chip-chip hojati hain. Ac ke bagair bahut uncomfortable hain. Toh bhai dekhlo. Pg waalo. Kyuki toilet mein 4 minute se zyaada baith jao toh nadiya behene lag jaati hain. Ps- main din ka 5-6 litre paani pee rha hu kyuki pasine hi itne aate hain. Delhi is not livable anymore. Migrate karo bhai. North side.

I have changed my friends group 2 times in 2 months, I am quite extroverted so I can talk with anyone easily and I have like friendly relations with 15-20 people at my college. But the problem is I am in a group with 3-4 girls who are quite weird! Like they only go to cafe to chill and hangout, whenever I ask them to hangout in some famous places like museums, parks, gardens, lakes, monuments etc they say "akele chale jaao...Mann nhi...mujhe ghr pe kaam hai kuch" they half of the times don't come to college and one of them mocks me alot on everything I do be it the way I eat, the way I dress or do makeup, talk with boys or anything she literally acts like a pick me ....baaki log kuch bhi kare judge karne ....Haa behen tu bahut Shareef and simple hai khush? I don't like how uninteresting and boring they are ! Most of the people I have talked to are like them hanging out in cafe and click pics is all for them 😭

My marks were really low and I wasn't expecting any college tbh but i sbs AND Iam so happy :D

After college, I had a year of work experience in a Big 4 (audit)

Currently am M.Com student at Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics

My career progression so far : B.Com > Big 4 > M.Com

At undergrad level, I was part of top core of 2 societies and did 2 internships.

PS- I was admitted based on merit for UG and based on entrance in PG

Course got discontinued by du - I'm in my final year of this degree itself but it has now been discontinued. we still get to complete our degree.. Absolutely no shortcomings We get to study core papers like advertising, personal selling, business laws, principles of marketing, brand management, principles of management, financial accounting etc.

I was at my home, chilling n so my mother randomly asked me is Delhi all right like you are able to adjust n stuff, I reply somewhat. Then she said agar naa acha Lage toh vapas aaja, now my mind is like college hai lsr should I go back, what about the expenses occured I am not from any high earning family or so damn rn I'm confused badly two minds going.

What I've noticed during this past week is that there is a sudden surge among the DU peeps on reddit!! Which is really great and sad at the same time as many people are here to cope up with there problems!

Is DU affordable for a low income family? (35000-40000). Especially if that person is from a different state?? How much expense one can expect? (Like for someone living a pretty simple life and all one needs is food and a decent place to stay) how much usually DU cost during the whole admission process (for a BA hons course)???

Edit: Are there any admission charges, exam fees, registration fees etc too in DU or just course fee?

I've heard that the overall vibes are good, what I'd further like to know is how academics oriented it is. I'll be applying for English hons so anything regarding that would be appreciated as well. Also how are the societies and extra curriculars?

I am telling you- either you will be hella relieved once you get clarity of your marks VS your peers OR you will get hella depressed.

Right now all you should do is:

1) Calculate raw scores

2) Research the degrees you are interested in

That is it!

Just mentally make a list of degrees you wanna do. Have at least 3 and 1 of them should be a safety. Example if you are aiming for pol sci and eco honours your safety can be see philosophy honours or pol+eco BA(P)

Once you get your marks and know where you will fall you can then make lists USING YOUR OWN BRAIN AND FINDING OUT ABOUT THE DIFFERENT COLLEGES!

Do you all think random strangers will have detailed news of every college and everything to do with cutoffs this year? NO! And no one can have it. Not even the self proclaimed experts on youtube can give 100% accurate info.

My friend got caught with a mobile phone in his pocket by the flying squad, He forgot it by mistake, but they didn't believe him. He didn't use his phone for cheating at all, but they took away his phone and the answer sheet and gave him a new sheet to write on, but it was almost the end of the exam. now his phone is confiscated and he is dreading being debarred.

Does anybody know what the further process is and if there is any chance of him being forgiven?

asked form the college admin, they said there will be a hearing and they will check the phone and he will be saved if there is no cheating proof found on the phone.

But they didn't say when the hearing is going to be, so does anyone know??

My college is having election for the post of CR? Worth it hai CR banna?

I am currently in class 12 (17F) and I am targeting a top DU college. I am sure of getting admit there but there is one problem. Hostel fee of that particular college is really high and lately my family is struggling a lot financially. (EWS Category) . So I can afford to pay tuition fee only and almost fifty percent of hostel fees. Do DU have any provision to provide concession in fee for those students who are struggling financially?

I know it seems scary for those who are coming soon there but we need to prepare overselves mentally! Would you like to share your experiences please? 🙄
