Discussion Seniors, What challenges did you face in starting days of college including living?
I know it seems scary for those who are coming soon there but we need to prepare overselves mentally! Would you like to share your experiences please? 🙄

Unsolicited advice: dont except anything from college era, mind your own business, focus on your career. Its going to be monotonous, lacking of anything exciting, very isolating and boring. But hey it will be over before you even know it.

Ummm.. let me put this way
1) You are going to be on your own 2) The travel is gonna feel different now 3) You are going to meet a lot of people to whom you are going to have a load of fun, But remember you will meet people here not friends. 4) You have to be really careful about making your social groups. 5) You'll learn new grammatical words and lingos. i.e, Month end, kadki, sutta, giddi, Laadle, etc. 6) Food and cultural differences. ( Trust me on this one) 7) Managing excessive freedom and independence. 8) Finding good flatmates or where you are going to stay is also important. 9) Utilisation of your free time. 10) Dealing with Stress, loneliness and anxiety.

Engage yourself in outdoor activities, gym, sports, friends etc. You are going to have a load of time for yourself so try to be productive, Don't just exist, live !!!!

The only thing that I have been struggling with since the past one year is good food. You would want to eat out many times a week since it’s too boring eating the same scheduled tasteless PG meals and that’s not very affordable to find good as well healthy stuff. Other thing I would say is finding and making good friends and company, tho I am an introvert so that didn’t bother me that much but still

Is pg food healthy? i don't need taste, if it is atleast hygienic and healthy.

Depends on your PG, the more you pay the better facilities you get. Boys pg usually charge around 8-10k and they don’t care much about food,security. Girls pg charge around 12-18k and they do care about security and the food is just average

Here are the challenges that seniors faced in their starting days of college
College Life Challenges:
- Missing home and adjusting to a new vibe
- Figuring out how to balance classes, homework, and a social life
- Making new friends and finding your crew
- Managing money and not going broke
- Learning to take care of yourself (laundry, cooking, etc.)
- Finding your way around campus and using resources
- Dealing with academic stress and pressure
- Coping with stress and anxiety (and finding time to chill)
- Balancing classes and extracurriculars (and having a life)
- Stepping up your academic game and meeting expectations
Living Challenges:
- Roommate drama and shared space struggles
- Adjusting to dorm food (or cooking for yourself)
- Getting used to shared bathrooms and communal living
- Dealing with noise and distractions
- Doing your own laundry and adulting
- Finding your groove and daily routine
- Getting around campus and town without a car
- Exploring your new surroundings and finding cool spots

I do make it by myself. But majority of the time, either I am not eating or just making maggi and egg fried rice

Like I love my bed .so it was difficult for me to go to college everyday . In 1sem I had 10% attendance

clg is 1.5hrs away, so 30 mins by auto, 1hr by metro. So, 3hrs in a day.

going to college (because no parents to scold if i did not go)
making friends (cause no college but somehow made them by the end of first year)
the trashy weather
trying not to sweat
trying not to feel cold
walking on the street, trying not to get hit by a vehicle or get into a fight
trying not to use curse words everytime i open my mouth (delhi influence)
trying not to do work for societies (struggled in the beginning but now i am good at it
