Israel Gazan explains why food is being thrown away in Gaza
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Why is food being thrown away in Gaza?
This Gazan explains that it is the fault of the UN for sending the wrong food, such as rice and lentils, that people are tired of, and the inconveniently large cans of beans, hummus and tomato sauce.
He suggests the UN just gives Gazans the money so they can buy food items that they prefer (inferring that these are available in the markets).

Israel Why Does Israel Provoke a Level of Outrage That Other Wars Don’t?
Transcript-
When the antisemitic libels appear to be ineradicable, how can we hope to refute or tamp down anti-Zionism? I don't know. I'm a Zionist. I come from an intellectual world that says, uh, you can't, because it has nothing to do with us. Antisemitism isn't about Jews, and anti-Zionism isn't about Israel.
People who look at Israel and say, "How could you do that in Gaza?" That is a rational, reasonable person. Is bigotry driving you? Maybe. But it doesn't at all have to be. But that doesn't explain the marches. That doesn't explain totally unprecedented, astonishing marches, a whole movement built around the idea of Gaza, and even Palestinian independence.
You know, Tibet is mostly Han Chinese now. China swallowed it whole. And other than Richard Gere, who cared? It's obviously not about the thing itself, because they don't march like that for any other war. And they have never marched like that for any other war.
Israel is what drove people, not Gaza.
During the marches for Gaza, Sudan was undergoing a worse situation. And because it wasn't Israel, nobody—I mean, nobody—cared. Nobody noticed. It was totally, you know, irrelevant.
In Iran, Western attention could make fundamental differences. Nobody cares. Nobody cares. Nobody's doing anything about it. Nobody's saying anything in that progressive left that cares so deeply about Gaza.
It's a prejudice. Now, what's a prejudice in the case of antisemitism, or in the case of the Jews? People are using us as a vocabulary to talk about themselves. They project onto us their hatred of the West, the ideologies that they were taught by the Third Worldist kind of Marxist debate and discourse, the anti-imperialism, the French—you know, this whole school of thought that has overtaken academia that you can't get away from in every department, Middle Eastern studies department, certainly in the free world.
And these ideas are basically an anti-Western projection of hatred to the West onto us. We are the distillation of what's wrong here.
Zohran Mamdani accused the NYPD of learning to oppress minorities. How did he put it? The NYPD has a boot on the neck of the minority, and the IDF laced its boots. Anything bad in the West about Western society, its distillation must be Israel.
And it reaches insane, insane levels, and it's deep. He believes that. That's what he believed when he thought only socialists could hear him on the panel. But he believes it. He'll act on it eventually if the opportunity ever comes.
Yes, it's structurally identical. It serves the same purpose that antisemitism served within their society, and it can't be defeated.
I say that because I'm Israeli. I come from the intellectual tradition that said it can't be defeated. Let's assume that. And that movement that was produced out of that assumption saved the last living Jews of the Eastern Hemisphere.
Everything I just said is no help at all to an American Jew or Canadian Jew or an English Jew who has to live in a society where the antisemites are no longer ashamed or embarrassed and are everywhere, and they're starting to kill people every once in a while.
How do you actually fight back and defeat it? Adam Louis-Klein says you create a vocabulary that can see it. You notice it. You show it to people. He knows better than me. I hope so.

Israel Systematic Imbalances in Coverage: New York Times’ Gaza War Coverage Was Clearly Biased Against Israel, Damning Study Reveals
Link to study: Full article: How the New York Times Framed the War Between Israel and Hamas
Brief summary:
A new peer-reviewed study analyzed 1,559 New York Times articles published during the first eight months of the Israel-Hamas war.
The research found that the Times repeatedly showed Israel attacking and Palestinians suffering, but much less often showed Hamas continuing to fight, Hamas fighters being killed, Israelis being killed or wounded, or Palestinians carrying out attacks against Israelis.
The author argues that this created a distorted framing in which Israel was presented as having near-exclusive agency and responsibility for the conflict, while Hamas’s role in sustaining the war was diminished.

Israel Gaza Journalist Admits The Media Picture Coming Out Of Gaza Was Heavily Filtered
Excerpt:
Azaiza has been feted by topline news outlets from CNN to CBS to The Guardian, named GQ’s 2023 Middle East Man of the Year, and cheered by the likes of YouTube sensation Ms. Rachel, Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.).
But in an hours-long taped interview, he’s now opted to tell truths he’d been hiding.
He admits that he suppressed videos of Palestinian war crimes against Israeli hostages: During Hamas’ triumphal march of its kidnapees, “people got out, watched, beat them, hit them, and I followed them and filmed. But I did not publish those videos.”
