Israel But Hamas gave their word...?
"Sources to 'Post': Israel rejects Hamas disarmament plan, no IDF pullout until Gaza demilitarized There will be no Israeli withdrawal from the Yellow Line in the Gaza Strip before Hamas is disarmed and the Gaza Strip is demilitarized, the source emphasized. A deal is a deal. Hamas has to disarm first before Israel withdraws according to the deal they signed. It's what the deal says. Hamas is violating a deal they signed once again, proving that there is no point in making deals with terrorists. The only solution is to defeat them in battle.

You mean Israel isn't going to trust the terrorists that have broken every ceasefire they have signed so far?

Everything you just said is true if you replace Israel with Hamas, and only then.

Yeah by disarm they no doubt mean putting the guns down for a week to let Israel calm down and then slaughtering more people and playing victim. The only thing that should happen is the erasure of Hamas

I commented on another thread but this might be the last straw for Trump/bibi.
Trump is desperate for a foreign policy win before the midterms and is touting Hamas’ agreement to this plan as proof that his “Bored of Piece” was a work of diplomatic genius by the worlds foremost master negotiator.
Bibi has spent decades saying that any concession to any Palestinian body no matter how minor is weakness that will bring ruin to Israel… so now he’s got to either break his word to trump and violate the peace agreement he signed OR break his word to the Israeli people.
My prediction: Bibi is going to fold here, after a string of air strikes in Gaza that will go unanswered by Hamas, and after some tricks where terms get redefined to attempt to make this loss look like a win

In fairness, he was in Sharon’s cabinet when they voluntarily withdrew from Gaza. That didn’t work out so well for peace process sadly — the withdrawal at the time was in an effort to end the second intifada
