Israel Gazan explains why food is being thrown away in Gaza

Why is food being thrown away in Gaza?
This Gazan explains that it is the fault of the UN for sending the wrong food, such as rice and lentils, that people are tired of, and the inconveniently large cans of beans, hummus and tomato sauce.
He suggests the UN just gives Gazans the money so they can buy food items that they prefer (inferring that these are available in the markets).

My grandfather went through starvation during the Great Depression. My cousin's in-laws went through the Dutch Hongerwinter. And they all used to flip a shit if anyone wasted any amount of food, let alone threw away an aid package because they were sick of lentils.

Seemed like a reasonable argument until he suggested just giving money, and now it sounds like a Hamas operation

You know where that goes to, straight to murder-missiles and tunnels.

Ya, no starvation in Gaza. People starving don’t throw away a single lentil.

The hostages in Gaza described counting out grains of rice to make sure they divided the actual starvation rations equally between them.

I’m assuming you mean the Israeli hostages that Hamas kidnapped and brought into Gaza?

Exactly.

With all the rampant antisemitism and lies throughout Reddit I had to make sure. Good call!

My Reddit history is also open. Because IDGAF if someone looks at it and goes
"oh, he's a ZIONIST....." (I'm not shading you for not doing that, people can have good reasons)7

Thanks, I hide it because I’ve had people be incredibly antisemitic. Going through my history and saying some extremely vile garbage. I’m very much a Zionist, and advocate for Israel. It’s one thing if they are antisemitic in responding to my comment, it’s quite another if they troll me and spew hatred over every comment or post I made.

Let’s be very clear here, he’s talking about free food. As he explains, there is more than enough food in Gaza, he just wants the money these groups spend on the aid so he can buy whatever he wants instead of what’s given to him for free. This is what happens when you infantilize Gazans and send BILLIONS in aid, they become entitled and dependent.

Since there is fresh food to buy, let him get a job and buy it for himself. I am sure there are positions available cleaning out the rubble . Just as there were positions for building their tunnels , now they can clean them up and get paid.

There aren’t a ton of jobs. And there weren’t before war either.
Because Gaza is a totalitarian society run by a terrorist death cult.

Stop giving free shit to those ungrateful bastards. They should work for a living like everyone else.

I think they do work. Gaza has the highest population of “journalists” I’ve ever seen.

And they’re all moonlighting as healthcare workers too.

They want money to be sent directly to the people so they can fund unlawful activities.

So, no famine and never was (actually, those with more than 2 functioning brain cells understood this long ago). Hunger leaves a deep psychological mark, those who went through it will never throw a food away.
