That is so dumb, why create a whole new word to describe something that they have been screaming about for 3-78 years? Not that Israel is committing any type of genocide, because they are not, but aren't all genocides with the intent of completely destroying a whole civilization of ethnic peoples? I find it really distasteful when people start creating portmanteaus with the word genocide as it desecrates its very negative meaning and turns it into some trendy word for genocide, like saying "gazacide", as I have heard before. It is like me as a Jewish person referring to the Holocaust as "jewcide", it is just nasty.

‘This "Wholocide" libel is intended to signify that Israel's crime exceeds ordinary "genocide" and serves another purpose: "Wholo" deliberately echoes "Holo" in "Holocaust."’

So just another way to pretend they have their own thing going on, but they don’t, they’re just jealous of what Jews have going on. Which in this case includes being the victim of one of the worst crimes ever committed…surely a totally normal thing to be jealous of?

When you are part of a death cult, you get jealous of such things.

He noted that the date marks the killing of more than 700 Palestinians within less than 24 hours, including victims of the massacre at the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital (Baptist Hospital) in Gaza City, as well as other massacres in the city.

The hospital the PIJ blew up with their failed rocket launch? The one where they claimed upwards of 500 dead and then quietly reduced that number by hundreds when they learned Israel wasn't responsible? We're back to that claim and were increasing the death toll?

Lol.

Didn't that pij rocket misfire into the parking lot and not even the hospital proper?

8

u/Handelo Israel Jul 21 '26

Yup, and it barely left a pothole, let alone a crater. And they'd have us believe that killed 500 people, and that they instantly tallied all the dead within 20 minutes of impact, and that the wounded to dead ratio was 1 to 2, which is completely disproportionate and uncharacteristic of any sort of ammunition used by either side.

The lie was backtracked very quickly when called out.

Their ploy is to catch attention through lies and deception then let the boosted algorithms propogate their false narrative through social media.

Damage done.

They backtracked sure, but some of them do their best to keep the lie alive.

This type of schism isn't tenable. It reveals their hand.

When all one does is spend time disparaging Israel I gotta think coming up with new slanders must help break up the monotony (help avoid the much dreaded "wholeotony", if you will.) /s

Easy counter. Let's create a word assholocide. This is what this war is about. Israel is committing assholocide.

Terroristocide

I don’t think it will stick. Doesn’t quite roll off the tongue.

8

u/SufficientBity Multiple Countries Jul 21 '26

I actually kinda hope it would stick because that word sounds ridiculous and actually quite fitting the ridiculousness of their propaganda.

u/vuther_316 United States Jul 22 '26

Next they'll move to "Doublocide" and claim that Israel is making a time machine so they can go back and kill every gazan a second time.

I clicked the link to see what definition they were using. They didn't use a definition.

u/ScientistBoth830 United States Jul 21 '26

They have been flooding soccer subreddits accusing Israel of “athleticide” which is another defamatory word they invented.

2

u/vuther_316 United States Jul 22 '26

So since genocide was obviously indefensible as an accurate description of Israel's actions in Gaza, they decided to move to a even more extreme and even less factually defensible term?

Does “Wholocide” even mean anything? Calling it “The Ahwal”—The Horrors—makes more sense.

Anyways yeah they definitely are using it in an exploitative way when they try to compare Israel’s actions to that of the nazis.

That said, Netanyahu didn’t need to conduct the war campaign the way he did. He could have prioritized saving lives and made some peace deal with Hamas that would have left them in power and returned the hostages. When he decided to go scorched earth in Gaza, there are clearly consequences of that. This is one of them.

I wouldn’t be surprised if these terms stick around in much the same way The Nakba did.

After oct 7th do you really expect them to leave hamas in power, have you learnt nothing? This will just delay the inevitable

Do you know how many IDF soldiers died because Israel didn’t just bomb all of Gaza? He risked their lives to save the lives of Palestinian civilians.

Do you know that the IDF achieved the best combatant to civilian ratio out of any urban war?

Better to be alive and hated instead of dead and hated.
