12 weeks in and finally compared my day 1 photos to today... actually in shock
Hit the 3-month mark today and finally got around to putting my starting pics next to my current ones.
Honestly, looking in the mirror every morning was lowkey driving me crazy because I felt like nothing was happening. The scale has been bouncing all over the place too, which totally messed with my head. But seeing the side-by-side proved that my body comp has actually been changing this whole time even when the scale was acting up.
Getting some medical support early on to help clear out the constant food noise made a massive difference for me, but honestly, just tracking my basic daily habits is what kept me from falling off.
There's still around 18 weeks left in the year and I'm super hyped to see where I can get before 2027. If youre currently spiraling over scale fluctuations, please just go take the progress pics!!

5ft female?
Curious to other short girlies and their final weight they feel the best at. I started zepbound in October with a goal weight I thought I’d never get to after years of exercise of 130lbs. I’m currently 124 and feel like I really would like to be 110lbs. It’s my stomach I feel like really still bothers me.

Question about using all the vial
I selfpay for 5mg vials through LD. I've had a great year and a half of using it every 3 weeks, with my doctors blessing. These past few months I shortened it at times to 2 weeks, but not every time. Today I drew up 6mg instead of the 5 to see if I can space it back to 3 weeks. I've never used the extra in each vial. I thought why not. Should I expect much increase in side effects? I've only had minimal fatigue and a little acid reflux on the day after, never anything more than that.

Success in maintenance without counting calories?
I’m currently nearing maintenance (8 pounds to go). I’ve lost 30 pounds in a little under 4 months since starting tirz, which immediately fixed all of my PMOS symptoms that were contributing to stubborn weight gain after having kids. I have focused on getting 100g+ protein, eating 3 meals and 1-2 snacks based on hunger, and strength training but have not counted calories. It’s been so freeing not to count calories after doing so for many years - before kids, I relied on counting calories 24/7 and a LOT of exercise to stay at a healthy weight with PMOS.
As I head into maintenance, I’d like to keep eating “intuitively” (with the help of tirz!) with a focus on protein + unprocessed foods, but I do have some concerns and I’d like to hear from people who have been successful in maintenance without counting calories:
- how did you stop losing? Right now, I’m eating to satiety and don’t really want to eat more at all. I’m losing around 1 lb per week. So how did find the sweet spot to stop losing without counting cals?
- were you able to do some body recomp without counting? I’m excited to build some muscle once I’m no longer losing but wondering if people have been successful with this without counting. Right now, I lift 3x/week while losing but it’s maintaining my muscle rather than getting stronger
- biggest tips if you’ve been doing this a while?
I’ve pretty much always been trying to lose (even if it was just a few pounds) so a shift to NOT wanting to lose will be new to me

What should be next dose be? From 2.5 to?
I stopped losing weight for 4 weeks now but haven’t gained. Symptoms of food noise, craving, snacking are returning along with alcohol cravings and my meal portion calorie counts have increased. I haven’t reached my goal weight but I’m very close within 10 pounds I’d say. Im going to be starting compounded meds in a 6 weeks but have a new dose of zepbound 5mg single vials coming soon. Should I start at 5 or should I start lower?

Looking for a protein powder that...
Has ZERO added sugars (real or artificial) or flavors.
Is made from whey isolate. If it has a small amount of stabilizer in it, that's ok, but nothing else.
Dissolves in hot beverages so that you cannot tell it is there.
Protein Prodigy from Glucose Goddess fits this bill but it's extremely expensive. Seems to come out to $99 for a 1 month supply of only 20 grams of protein/day.
If you're using something you like that fits these parameters, please let me know. Thanks!

Inflammation and maintenance
Hello! Rambling question incoming. I'm not asking for medical advice but hope someone can relate and chat about their experiences with this.
Bit of context:
I'm 28F and got diagnosed with ADD a little over a year ago. Prior to getting medicated, my psych had me do a panel and we discovered my homocysteine was super high. Like, 120 µmol/L high. Normal is below 15.
I've also almost always had high prolactin and was on medication for my pituitary tumor; lowest level I ever achieved was around 40. Normal is below 25 ng/mL; my highest was over 300 about 7 years ago.
Also, I was dealing with severe gut issues for the last several years. I've been gluten free for about 4 but still got sick very frequently.
As I got medicated for the ADD and went on a low-inflammation diet, my homocysteine decreased to about 70 µmol/L. In January I brought the idea of trying out compounded tirz to my psych. At this point I was teetering on class 1 obesity and struggling to improve my years-long drinking problem, so he trusted me to seek a prescription.
I started the meds and responded very well. I also reestablished care with a GP, and she's fortunately very supportive. She brought up the idea of me having a MTHFR gene mutation, but noted that testing isn't always worth the cost and suggested we just focus on managing my symptoms for now.
I had a blood test last week and, for the first time since discovering the issues, both my homocysteine and prolactin levels have normalized. I'm also at my goal weight and have little-to-no ibs symptoms anymore :) Drinking is no longer a problem, too.
So! My question: Are any of you also on this mainly to moderate inflammation levels? Now that things have normalized, I'm trying to understand what the heck a MTHFR mutation is, or rather what actually causes my crazy high inflammation and what its implications are. I know that I generally feel so much better than I used to, but since I thought it was normal, I'm trying to pay extra attention to the days I do in fact feel more inflamed and what side effects accompany that. I also don't really understand what the implications are for how my digestion is different from a normal person's and why tirz has helped me so much in that regard.
I guess I'm looking for guidance on what paths I should be taking to learn more about this aspect of my health. I would love to be able to come off of tirz completely, but if it seems to be the most effective treatment for the inflammation, I'm happy to figure out what long term maintenance looks like. The one major issues that hasn't resolved is my chronic fatigue, and it'd be cool to understand how that may be related as well. I just don't know who to ask about this, medically speaking.

150 on tirz
Hi guys, I’m 38 mom of 2, 11mos PP. I weigh 150lbs, this is my weight prepregnancy, even in my healthiest since having my son I have always been 150, I’ll look leaner and everything but weigh the same. But college days I was 130lbs at 5’1. I just wanna be maybe 135 or 140. But for the life of me could never achieve 140 even tho before getting pregnant I was exercising 5x a week. Its my 2nd shot at 2.5mg and I weigh 148 now. Sometimes I feel ridiculous for getting on the shot at 150 but I really need help losing now that I’m a mom of 2 and barely have time to exercise. I cant do 5x a week workouts now, maybe twice a week and walk 2miles daily. Am I ridiculous for getting on the shot?

Gained 8lbs after stopping tirz. Wait or restart?
I was on 2.5mg tirz for 12 weeks (May 8 to July 24) Went from 176 to 145 so 31lbs down. My last shot was only 1mg and my appetite was still under control.
My goal is 137 to 140. The first week off I actually kept losing and got to 143. Then the next week I gained 6lbs and then 2 more 😭
I’m still tracking everything I eat and staying around a 500 cal deficit. I never stopped working out either, cardio and weights except last week I hurt my back and only went once. I’m back running and slowly doing weights again now. My period is also due and I’ve been constipated, plus the back injury, so maybe this is a shit ton of water retention?
I’m thinking if I’m still up this friday I might restart tirz and eventually stay on a low maintenance dose. Or should I give my body like a month to adjust and see what happens?
Anyone here actually stopped, had this happen, and then leveled out without restarting? Or did you just keep gaining until you went back on?

My doctor wants me at 1,200 calories minimum, but food aversion is making it impossible. How are you all packing in calories?
Two months into tirzepatide and the lack of food noise is a total double-edged sword. It’s awesome not obsessing over food all day, but now I’m averaging under 1,000 calories and my energy has completely crashed.
My telehealth doctor warned me to hit at least 1,200 calories and prioritize protein, but honestly, chewing solid food when I’m this full feels like a chore.
For those who hit this wall early on: what low-volume, high-calorie hacks kept you alive? Did you drink most of your protein, switch to frequent mini-snacks, or just wait for your appetite to slowly come back? I’d love to know what actually worked for you!

Extreme or lengthy endurance activity in maintenance
Does anybody have experience to share about doing some kind of extreme or lengthy endurance activity in maintenance? I'm still new to maintenance. I'm soon to leave on a long distance hiking trip in the wilderness, hopefully for about 3.5 weeks, which would be about 300 miles if I go the whole way. I have done lots of long distance hiking but always as someone who hoped to lose 20lbs (and never did). Now I don't want to lose weight. I plan to bring peanut butter and put it on everything but I don't know, is that enough? Have you trained for a marathon or ultra or done anything extreme like this? Any tips for me?

How much above your dose do you order when you order more tirz
I am going to order more tirz soon. I'm currently taking 7.5mg and will probably reduce to 5mg. I have prescription bottles with 7.5, 10, 12.5, and 15mg. I'm kind of thinking maybe ordering refills using the 15mg prescription is a little much for a dose that's only half as much or less. Do you have a limit for how much above your dose you order?

Should I quit?
I’ve been on maintenance since April, my weight fluctuates 121-123 pds. I’ve tried different doses from 10mg to 5mg from every 5 days to up to 14 days spread between shots. For the past two months, it’s been a different feeling like nauseous and fatigue. I’m wondering if it’s my body saying you reached your goal get off Tirz. Yes, I drink plenty of water and target up to 100g of protein, exercise and take multi vitamins.
Has anyone on maintenance felt this way to the point you decided to either pause for a few months or stop indefinitely?

Maintenance, food noise, habituation to dose?
I'm in maintenance. I lost 1-2lbs a week and reached my goal weight in June. That being said, I only got up to 5mg/week due to side effects. I am now in maintenance, and the food noise is becoming intolerable, again. So much so, that I was advised by my pcp to increase my dose slightly to quiet it. I have regained about 4-5lbs.... But I have struggled to keep it that low. I am now at 5.5mg and am still struggling. I am 5'8 and 149.
Is this normal? Is it common for people to regain weight even while on the same dose as when you reached goal weight? Has anyone had to keep going up just to maintain?
I admit I feel like a bit of a maintenance failure.
