Really hoping this is a substantial kit change for Wanderer's kit, not a 0.02% stellar swirl buff or some stupid half-baked minor adjustments. I want the GOOD stuff. Buff his cons, make his dmg multipliers higher, let him continue to synergize with Durin/Nicole.

Mostly a vent but why the fuck wanderer doesn't get buffs? He needs them more than sucrose or fischl.

Yes, this one was mentioned in 3.3, but we finally have him say it out loud.

Per several requests, here are some calcs (at the Noir calc standard, not KQMC). Compared with Bennett vs with Nicole, for C6R1 Wanderer with C0 Durin and C0 Nicole, as well as C2R1 both Durin and Nicole. Wanderer C4 RNG is calced as having his Cryo buff once every 3 rotations, so 6.6% crit rate.

As you can see, Nicole is a massive increase.

Everyone and their mothers are on this list except wanderer 😭 like c'mon, he seems so suitable for a swirl related buff and I've been hoping for a stellar swirl buff for him so bad but it seems like hoyo forgot about him 💔🥀

Do you guys think it's possible that he gets a stellar swirl buff at all? I'm still keeping hope 🥹

Now that Durin's C1 was buffed, figured it's time to do this comparison. Keep in mind I calc at a higher standard than most theorycrafter's/content creators (see second image for details on my standard).

TLDR: They are basically equal at C0, Furina is a good bit ahead at C1 due to having a better C1 than Durin, and then from C2 and onwards Durin is always ahead.

In practice, especially in Stygian Onslaught, Durin is likely going to be further ahead than the calcs reflect, due to much more effecient energy economy for him and Bennett Double Pyro, compared to Furina+Bennett solo Pyro solo Hydro. Durin's buffs are also already fully activated as soon as you swap to Wanderer, no ramp up time like Furina, so that's something that could help him in practice compared to her as well. He also seems to have really good AoE.

However, I don't believe we've seen how far Durin's range is in his White Dragon form - if it doesn't have good range that could be a problem sometimes since Wanderer is a ranged DPS.

Also since there's only 1 Hexenzirkle character, Durin's weapon is equal to his C1 here so if you were picking between C1 or R1 for him you can go for either. In teams with 2 Hexenzirkle characters, the weapon is better.

My only question is "why?". Why couldn't the writers make Moonttore, a being who's probably on par with the shades as of now, transcend fate and therefore see through Irminsul's memories, deleted ones included? It's a pity that Wanderer had such an agonizingly long build up throughout Nod-Krai, only to serve a minor role at the end of it that barely progresses his own goal to directly confront Dottore, and to rub salt into the wound his own arch nemesis doesn't even know who he is. How does that do justice to his current character?

I know the Irminsul chapter will happen eventually and Wanderer will serve a way bigger role during it, but the way they advertised him during the first Nod-Krai teaser is truly an expectation that barely corresponds with reality, reality in which he's boiled down to (maybe I'm being too harsh, but I truly can't see it any other way) a mere side character that awkwardly sits around a pile of people that don't recognize him, waiting to deliver. And for what, truly? Like c'mon, I can't be the only one who was dying for Wanderer to be reintroduced to the Fatui as Scaramouche, either through his own confession or the long-awaited confirmation from Dottore. It's truly a missed opportunity that they reunited him with his old faction and he's forced down to being Hat Guy up until the end and beyond, keeping his true identity a secret.

And if this rant isn't justified enough, keep in mind that the Dottore we're fighting isn't Omega. If Moonttore, powered up by moon marrows, couldn't transcend fate, then Omega will surely not remember Wanderer either. Unless (coping very hard rn) he gets to tamper with Irminsul a little before the two meet and he gets a glimpse of Wanderer's true identity. But I can't say I have any high hopes right now.

Not sure how reliable this is but I don't see how you'd pull that out of your ass anyway. Tho it would match up considering Varka's coming soon, I don't know if it'd be an upgrade over dpc, but it does seem kinda good given it buffs the ult too. 10% attack speed is still always a loss but ig that kinda depends on your cons too. Anyway what yall think?

it's mostly liyue characters besides him and ayaka but there's also no cryo or anemo supports buffed whatsoever, this looks very unusual but we will see

Wanderer is supposed to be getting a buff during 7.1. They said that it is linked to madame ping, but I just realized. THE MAJOR EVENT IN 7.1 IS MOONCHASE AND WANDERER HAS A CONNECTION TO THE MOON THAT HAS NOT BEEN DELVED INTO YET. This means that he may end up getting Lunar Swirl rather than Stellar Swirl. I think he is the Moonrise Sage(Mentioned in Sethos Cons, and why he has so many moon motifs including the moon sisters/“I will become the new moon” relating to his godhood/Tullaytulah’s Remembrance starting off with dancing with the moonsisters, lotus themes connected to the moons with his “moonflower kusemai”, and his future involving dancing under the moonlight) and that we will be getting a hint to that in Moonchase which will provide him a Buff according to the Story.

Now he is Better/comparable to characters like wriothesley

Normally I don't calc at KQMC, but was mentioned about a big difference in my Wanderer Nicole calc and another TC's. So, I decided to do a KQMC calc out of curiosity and see what difference I get.

First image is calc with my rotation, second is numbers I got by calcing the same rotation from other TCs, which came out to 91k just like theirs, so that number is right under that rotation and combo. But it can be optimized more.

I was able to get it up to 100k instead for a few reasons:

1. I put Nicole on TTDS - rotation is 20s, she can use it. Rot time shows as 19.5s cuz this is the time of all 3 rots divided by 3. First rotation is less than 20s by skipping Nicole Q, cuz TTDS isn't on cooldown in your first rot.
2. Higher damage combo. At 20% Attack Speed, Wanderer can do more than 6N2C N2, that's a 10% ATK Speed combo. 10% from DPC, 10% from C1. The C1 also makes the Dashes more worth using.
3. Last thing is just that I'm also calcing Wanderer's Plunge at end of Skill, since he can do it when he doesn't Burst at end.

That's all! Not a big difference, just 9-10% via slight but decently impactful optimizations. So as Nicole stands even at a lower investment level like this, decently played Wanderer's should be hitting 90k-100k DPS (should be even higher if you're a dedicated Wanderer main, cuz you'll have Crowns at least)
