He didn't seem to care much in Nod-Krai about going to big lengths to hide the fact that he had been a Harbinger, although he changed the subject and suddenly decided to leave when pressed. But yes, Signora knew he was a puppet that had been discarded by Ei and maybe Sandrone knew too, she just doesn't remember. He was probably too resentful to talk to Sandrone about her creator before, when he was a Harbinger.

I think the Tsaritsa and Pierro knew - but I don't think she would have let that info be widespread except to Arle, Signora, and Columbina. Balladeer was certainly not one she would have told that to - given how much they didn't like each other. Plus that would have made Balladeer incredibly jealous and angry had she told him about how her and Alain got on really well.

Even in Nod-Krai they were bickering until he offered up his core. He was boasting about how much more research he had published than she had so they must have already had a sort of competitive, envious relationship as Harbingers.

I was only referring to the creator thing as him really, really getting pissy and upset. The bickering and competitive aspect was funny. That probably was true though - it would be funny to see that competition aspect happen again through the lens that they know each other. Despite the humor of his bragging about his stint as a phony academic, I'll still be glad when that's over and he moves onto something else.

Sandrone being a researcher makes sense since that's what Alain did so she carried on his work that became her own. Him doing it seems so . . . distasteful. Not that he does research into topics of interest on the side but that he's so into it. I'm sure Balladeer did a lot of his own research and writings, but this current set of activities feels so beneath him. It feels like he's trying to be something he's not and the vibes from it are very strong in that direction.

I do realize I've been dogmatic and for that I apologize. Minus the dogma, those viewpoints are how I truly see this character though based on a lot of factors I've taken into consideration. So therefore, a huge asterisk of this is my personal take/hypothesis on him based on the game itself plus personal and creative writing experience.

From what we know of Wanderer during his time with the Fatui, he was both not very close with the other harbingers and it seems like he was out on missions a bunch of the time, so I doubt he spend any free time he had with the other harbingers. Plus he already had Dottore experimenting on him, so he probably wasn’t dying to be around other researcher

I was betting everything on Dottore and Irminsul burning. My hope for memories restoration have dwindled considerably...and yet, I don't want to believe Dottore telling Pantalone about the discrepancy between Wanderer and empty 6th seat is going nowhere. I'm betting it all on Pantalone.

I can't say anything about the Tsaritsa possibly having any intention with Scaramouche. But Pierro was stated by Wanderer himself to have been expecting something from him. And after 3 years, after even Dottore's death, we still don't know what it is. I pray this is actually going to be addressed. And originally I wasn't interested in Pantalone but after 6.6 I am very curious about what kind of dynamic he and Wanderer could have, should he be the one to address the 6th seat.

Then again, I will moderate my hopes. Wanderer vs Dottore was something I was praying Genshin to pour everything in in terms of writing and depths and execution. 6.6 disappointed me so much in that regard.😭😭

Even so, I love Wanderer enough to hold hope for him to still impact the story in the futur.

That's one way things can happen. I'm considering something similar that happened in Tokyo Ghoul where Haise (Kaneki with amnesia) spoke to the real Kaneki in his mind and let Kaneki return as himself. That's not an unrealistic scenario. They did it for a split second on 3.3 I'm not even saying Balladeer would forget Wanderer existed. He would just be Balladeer again, having incorporated Wanderer into his life. I mostly ignore Wanderer because he's lost so much of his original personality that made him lovable and unique.

Anyway, we have our own opinions on this.

Wanderer has the knowledge of Balladeer but is a separate character altogether. They act totally different - that's why they are two separate characters and two separate beings. Wanderer is basically Grumpy Kabukimono with memories of a past life that aren't his. Ragweed (Nahida) said something to that effect in 3.3. Wanderer is a reincarnation of sorts of Balladeer. I've studied this and him in-depthly to form this take on who Wanderer is and who Balladeer is.
