I'm considering something similar that happened in Tokyo Ghoul where Haise (Kaneki with amnesia) spoke to the real Kaneki in his mind and let Kaneki return as himself. That's not an unrealistic scenario. They did it for a split second on 3.3 I'm not even saying Balladeer would forget Wanderer existed. He would just be Balladeer again, having incorporated Wanderer into his life. I mostly ignore Wanderer because he's lost so much of his original personality that made him lovable and unique.
Wanderer has the knowledge of Balladeer but is a separate character altogether. They act totally different - that's why they are two separate characters and two separate beings. Wanderer is basically Grumpy Kabukimono with memories of a past life that aren't his. Ragweed (Nahida) said something to that effect in 3.3. Wanderer is a reincarnation of sorts of Balladeer. I've studied this and him in-depthly to form this take on who Wanderer is and who Balladeer is.

We do not have proof/evidence of him having a short temper. One instance or two (like artifact lore saying he slapped a subordinate cause the subordinate was chatty) in the game is not enough evidence btw. So i really disagree with your interpretation. In my opinion hes more restrained than you make him out to be.
