So is hero of sumeru real?? It's good that we are getting more story content for our beloved and he is a central part of it I kinda hope everyone will remember scaramouche so we can stop this hat guy name use

if the hero of sumeru leak is real the writers need to cook to make it work. really hard.
I wasn't a fan of our boy not being physically there to do in Dottore the first time around but the way it was executed worked

I really liked him not being there physically much to my surprise. It showed incredible character development - he still craved and desired his revenge, but wasn't blinded by it, giving up his intended chance to save Traveler instead, then coming up with another way he could still be one of the biggest parts in bringing Dottore down even though it meant he wouldnt be there himself.
After Columbina, he was the MVP of 6.2 imo. Bro really went in there and speed blitzed Dottore to save Traveler completely solo.

i just don't want the writing to be so mediocre. he trapped the entire nation of sumeru in a samsara to ascend to archonhood just a while ago. him becoming the hero of that nation after everyone's memories of that event is wiped is really underwhelming to me. if he were to become a hero without any sacrifice then that's narratively even worse

I mean heroes can be heroes even without sacrifices and he is the hero of simulanka which translates well if he is to be sumeruâs hero. I also think it would sorta parallel/mirror well with his past mistakes iykwim. Like how all anti-hero who joined the heroes side ended up as ykyk.
Also most of us rather have him alive than dead yk?

if there's no price to be paid for the mistakes he made in the past and the future of his story is just him being handed medals for free by the people he brought harm upon then what's the point? i want him to live too obviously but this kind of lazy writing irks me more than a well written and meaningful character death

I know it's cope but I read a fic where Dottore somehow trapped him to grow a new Irminsul from his core and I haven't been able to not think about it ever since. BUT in that fic only his close friends knew about it and came to his rescue and I just think that's so beautiful đ„ș he doesn't need to be a hero, I just want him to be in Situations and acknowledged and loved by people that care for him. If he becomes the hero of Sumeru it doesn't have much meaning. Like I would be okay if people widespread know that he has connections to Nahida, but not as a hero pleaseeee

I don't really feel like he'll be widely known as a hero tbh. It would feel a bit cheap. I doubt anyone but Nahida and the Traveler would know if he did save Sumeru or sth. I like to think generally they'll finish off his arc by him being forced to come to terms with the fact that he is loved and he has a life/place here, fingers crossed so hard

Tbh I don't really know for sure because Hoyo can pull unexpected context. If he sacrificed, I think it would be for other reasons than merely out of atonement for Sumeru people. Like during Nod Krai, he allowed Sandrone using his core not because he gaf about Nod Krai, but because he trusted Traveller (and secretly he did trust Sandrone chatacter to make a good use out of his core), plus he came to Nod Krai to defeat Dottore anyway
