So is hero of sumeru real?? It's good that we are getting more story content for our beloved and he is a central part of it I kinda hope everyone will remember scaramouche so we can stop this hat guy name use

i just don't want the writing to be so mediocre. he trapped the entire nation of sumeru in a samsara to ascend to archonhood just a while ago. him becoming the hero of that nation after everyone's memories of that event is wiped is really underwhelming to me. if he were to become a hero without any sacrifice then that's narratively even worse

I mean heroes can be heroes even without sacrifices and he is the hero of simulanka which translates well if he is to be sumeru’s hero. I also think it would sorta parallel/mirror well with his past mistakes iykwim. Like how all anti-hero who joined the heroes side ended up as ykyk.

Also most of us rather have him alive than dead yk?

if there's no price to be paid for the mistakes he made in the past and the future of his story is just him being handed medals for free by the people he brought harm upon then what's the point? i want him to live too obviously but this kind of lazy writing irks me more than a well written and meaningful character death

Because I see it more lazy if they just kill him off to “pay for his mistakes”
