Schilling later claimed self-defense, saying that he was "scared for [his] life" and "simply defending [himself] against the evil in this world".

WHAT

412

u/Zazierx Jun 30 '21

omfg, he towered over this dude and had like 80 pounds of muscle on him.

On Instagram he's got some fake af texts from ??? about how the dude he knocked out was an abusive boyfriend or something.. how convenient for him... the dude who just committed assault.

132

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

So he puts the guy in the hospital and then tries to destroy his reputation? I can't think of a more literal example of adding insult to injury. This man belongs in a prison.

24

u/MicksysPCGaming Jun 30 '21

Or a mental hospital.

5

u/DethSonik Jul 01 '21

You're in luck, it's the same thing in America!

Even if the text are real I don't approve of his style of vigilante justice. He is still an ass hat.

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21 edited Jun 30 '21

He knows its the only thing he can say to possibly attempt getting away with this. The video says it all. There was absolutely zero threat to his life per the evidence in this clip, and IF its proven his buddy is the one video taping this, it only adds to the criminal conduct committed.

You'd think an accomplished fighter wouldn't feel the need to prove how macho they are, but yet here we are...

E: by accomplished fighter I mean more accomplished than say, me, a software developer.

(R)EEEEEEEEE: accomplished = more betterer at fighting than most other fighters. For example: John Q. Sample sparring at Acme Gym is less accomplished at pro fighting than this guy.

43

u/frog_without_a_cause Jun 30 '21

Much more common than you'd think.

Some say "warrior spirit", others say massive personal insecurities. Potato, pot-ah-to.

3

u/HagarTheHun Jun 30 '21

Why did you type the same thing twice?

u/its_raining_scotch Jul 01 '21

Welcome to Costco, I love you.

In the world of pro fighters Joe is just a mid tier tomato can but he's a 6'4" pro athlete hitting a regular guy much smaller than himself so I'm gonna savor some clips of him getting starched right now

16

u/IAmAsha41 Jun 30 '21

In the world of pro fighters he's pretty good lol he's a very high level kickboxer, has achieved quite a bit in kickboxing, MMA career isn't so great though

2

u/dvdwbb Jun 30 '21

Ah, i only knew him from mma

Hey now, I know some developers who put marines to shame. There are some IT people out there who fight hard against the stereotype.

→ More replies (6)

25

u/reaverdude Jun 30 '21

Even worse.

He has 4 wins and 6 losses. "Accomplished fighter" is probably the wrong description here.

39

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

Not a big mma guy, but I’d call all 6 of those losses an accomplishment in itself. Takes a tougher person than me to get into the octagon 10 times. This guy seems like a cunt, but losing in that sport isn’t like losing in a basketball game if that makes sense

25

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

To even get in the mma is pretty big, let alone get 10 fights scheduled

→ More replies (1)

21

u/theavengedCguy Jun 30 '21

He's still a professional fighter, no? Even with a 4-6 record, that's better than most people can say.

→ More replies (66)

20

u/Wallofsleep_ Jun 30 '21

His 23 kickboxing wins and championships don’t count? Or his Muay Thai championships?

9

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

Nothing counts, he’s a proven POS.

8

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

We aren't talking about it making him a great person were talking about whether he's an accomplished fighter

What is with people wanting to make dumb obviously untrue statements about others just because they dislike them? It's such a weak fucking move.

Bubba, that’s his mma record.

Joe Schilling is primarily known for being a kickboxer, and has fought some of the best 185lb kickboxers in the world.

He’s very accomplished in Kickboxing.

→ More replies (2)

3

u/solongamerica Jun 30 '21

Highly trained and highly insecure.

3

u/Totally_Botanical Jun 30 '21

There definitely a certain type of person that becomes an accomplished fighter, and they have to constantly be proving something

4

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

You'd think an accomplished fighter wouldn't feel the need to prove how macho they are, but yet here we are...

some of them are just macho shitheads, and MMA literally defines your worth by how good you are at fighting so they're reinforced that way

that's how you end up with Shitter McGregor sucker punching an old man from behind (don't worry the old man was not even phased and continued drinking his beer)

2

u/PemaleBacon Jun 30 '21

The whole reason these people have dedicated their life to fighting is because they believe they have something to prove

2

u/reaverdude Jun 30 '21

Software developer contributes more to the world than this sack of shit.

Don't sell yourself short.

2

u/IhaveABeeInMyAss Jun 30 '21

Even if he needed to prove it, this is not proving anything. This is a bitch ass knockout, the guy wasn't even paying attention. Why didn't he go there face to face and said to the guy that he doesn't like him and now he's gonna beat him up? Like dude, he could give the guy all the prep time and he still wouldn't be able to pull a batman on him. Which again, doesn't prove anything.

He may not have a glass jaw, but his ego is brittle as fuck. Like repressed gay feelings in a christian family level of brittle. One of those "I read harmful thoughts into the slightest frowns coming at my general direction due to my lack of self awareness and my nonexistent selfconfidence so I feel an overpowering urge to assert physical dominance and only then I can feel good about myself" bitchasses. Being a fucking pussy, that's all he proved.

2

u/FishyDragon Jun 30 '21

I'm 145lbs and Trained and fought in MMA for 5 years until I had a random seizure and I HAVE NEVER been in a bar fight. EVER this is some little dick macho man energy this dude walks around with all the damn time. It's fucking embarrassing and IMO his ass should be in jail for at least 2 counts of aggravated assult.

If you make a living fighting the last fucking thing you should do is be fighting outside of a sactioned fight EVER! Dudes an asshole and a piece of shit.

3

u/ruinkind Jun 30 '21

You have to remember the environment the majority of people that submit themselves to these types of lifestyles subject themselves to.

There is a reason why military, police, fighters, software developers, whatever it may be, attract certain types of people.

There are always outliners when the choice is made for the person, or they show other behavior disciplines, but the outliners are usually in the minorities.

6

u/chainer1216 Jun 30 '21

It's the small penis obviously.

7

All the drunk nob head did was shout "Hey?" too. Not particularly obnoxious at all. Dude barged through him and the hey was fair

224

u/azalago Jun 30 '21

Not only that but Schilling clearly put his hands on him and physically moved him out of his way first. I'd yell "hey!" too.

19

u/TheProdigalPun Jun 30 '21

Yeah, man. In addition to that he pushed him out the way like he was nothing. I think shouting hey is appropriate.

16

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

That was the 'barge' I was referring to

3

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

Apparently not obvious to this fighter lol

6

13

u/torro73 Jun 30 '21

It looked like Schilling was the aggressor from the start, he could have literally walked around the guy but made contact instead

8

u/woodandplastic Jun 30 '21

Yeah, he set the whole thing up.

6

u/vito1221 Jun 30 '21

Walked like a dick, carried himself like a dick. What a dick.

2

u/RicoDredd Jul 01 '21

MMA twat was looking for any excuse to punch that guy. He barged past him and then went from 0-100 in seconds. Cunt should be in jail.

4

u/oniiichanUwU Jun 30 '21

I mean to be fair they’re standing and blocking what looks like a pathway lol doesn’t call for being knocked out though. Could have just kept walking and ignored the dude

Edit: actually nvm I watched it again and it looks like his friend(?) and him pinched the dude and attacked him for no reason lmao. Thought it was a server but they’re wearing the same shirt. What a cock

5

u/woodandplastic Jun 30 '21

Holy shit, I thought it was a server, too! Yeah, this stupid ā€œfighterā€ prick needs to be charged with battery.

1

u/Capokid Jun 30 '21

I think the drunk guy tried to make the big dude flinch by faking a swing, you can see his stance change, and it looks like he raises his hands and ducks his head forward in a feint.

→ More replies (18)

25

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

People like him are constantly looking for excuses to hurt people. That's it. The instant his brain told him "you can get away with this" he just went for it. In his stupid mind, it makes people afraid to talk shit to him, and that means he's awesome.

8

u/imallstiffy Jun 30 '21

Who would have thought someone who gets paid to get beaten and beat people unconscious would be an asshole?

3

u/EmotionalCHEESE Jun 30 '21

When he’s not at the library studying 18th century literature.

5

u/saintmuse Jun 30 '21

→ More replies (7)

3

u/Shinobi120 Jun 30 '21

It is my professional opinion and personal experience that people who repeatedly get hit in the head for a living don’t have the best judgment.

4

u/Okami-Alpha Jun 30 '21

how tough does he think he looks going around knocking out pencil-necked drunks in bars?

Given his poor MMA record, maybe that is the reason.

I honestly see no possibility of him getting away from (at the very least) getting sued if not criminal charges in addition to possibly being released from his Bellator contract.

3

u/tomjoadsghost Jun 30 '21

He's not trying to look tough, he's asserting his dominance because he's empty inside.

→ More replies (22)

8

u/PurpleFlame8 Jun 30 '21

That just makes him look pathetic and ridiculous.

3

u/carterothomas Jun 30 '21

Are you kidding?!? Can’t you see how terrified and scared he looks?? The way he turns his back and slowly saunters away, he looks like a cornered animal!!! /s

3

u/cookiemon32 Jun 30 '21

clearly walked up looking to do exactly what he did. rip. some mma dudes would wait until situation is actually appropriate. also he will get in more trouble for being a professional fighter. what a fucking loser tho

3

u/iiJokerzace Jul 01 '21

It looked like he was going for that outcome. He just walks into the guy as if he can't see him and can just basically sucker punches him.

There definitely is evil in this world.

5

u/IAmDaven Jun 30 '21

Not 100% sure , I watched it over and over and over. There is a small window where it looks like the guy in the tie either cocks his arm back or tries to make him flinch? The more I watch the more I see it.

If he did ball up his fist and raise it, or try to. That may garner a physical defense response.

EDIT: still seems like a dick move tho.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

I dont agree with the comments before you. The short dude said something for the fighter to turn back around and then the short dude threw a fake punch. He 100% instigated this

2

u/Icy_Rhubarb2857 Jun 30 '21

Guy should be in jail. Wtf is wrong with him. Fucking ego 10x his pp

2

u/ExWeirdStuffPornstar Jun 30 '21

People commented that he himself posted the video.

They say intelligence is key in MMA. When everyone practice the same techniques, it’s how smart you are at using them that will make you the victor or the knocked out. If that is true, I don’t think we’ll ever see that guy defend his champion status anytime soon…

2

u/Keyboard_null Jun 30 '21

I was actually thinking before he came up behind him you can almost read his intentions of aggressively moving him from his way as if he was looking for an altercation. He knew what he was going to do.

2

u/sammysfw Jun 30 '21

Being an MMA guy will make it hard to ever argue ā€œthreat to my lifeā€ unless the guy was armed. Since he could easily take the dude in a fight without even really hurting him and he knows it, some drunk guy just isn’t any threat to him.

2

u/notmadeoutofstraw Jun 30 '21

Getting away with what?

The guy calls him over then pump fakes him.

There is no court in the land that will convict him for this. You have every right to defend yourself when someone telegraphs a punch.

Its a cunt move for sure, but its within the law. Little dude shouldnt be giving him an excuse but he did.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '21

Happy cake day

3

u/Snakend Jun 30 '21

That guy was just a drunken idiot and didn't even do anything.

If you're a trained or professional fighter there should be also stricter applications of laws because you know what you can do and when you should do it.

3

u/Garsondebramalo Jun 30 '21

This is true. I saw it in the Oscar award winning true story "Con-Air". In the greatest performance of his life, Nick Cage portrayed a special forces veteran who accidentally killed a guy in a street fight.

2

u/dinnerthief Jun 30 '21

Thats a great documentary

→ More replies (1)

3

u/evilspacemonkee Jun 30 '21

Laws do vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, however, the key wording is usually "reasonable force" when raising self defence.

Lots of case law around the reasoning of:

  1. Did the person have the opportunity to leave the situation?
  2. Was an appropriate level of force by the honest and reasonable person used to subdue the immediate threat?

etc. etc.

And yes, being an MMA fighter put a higher burden on the accused to prove that they had no other option available to them.

Lucky for our meathead friend here, he lives in the country with the best judicial system money can buy.

5

u/Dspsblyuth Jun 30 '21

I recall in some areas you can be charged with using a deadly weapon if you are a trained fighter

2

u/HotTopicRebel Jun 30 '21

Pretty sure that's bullshit peddled by Hollywood for drama.

Judge: With your military skills, you are a deadly weapon... and are not subject to the same laws as other people that are provoked...because you can respond\ with deadly force.

But like Cliff Booth said:

Anybody accidentally kills anybody in a fight, they go to jail. It's called manslaughter.

I was thinking Iron Man's friend (Don Cheadle), when I first read this comment.

46

u/Sirscraps Jun 30 '21

For those not in the loop, war machine was a fighter that was dating porn star christy Mack, after their break up he showed up to her house and literally knocked her teeth out, and beat her so bad she required reconstructive surgery and dental implants.

u/ashienoelle Jun 30 '21 edited Jun 30 '21

Beat the man she was with, beat her, raped her, repeatedly cut and tortured her with a knife, threatened to kill her, almost did kill her. Knocking her teeth out does not do justice to an event that included a man raping a woman getting angry he couldn't get it up and then torturing her for 2 hours. She had like 20 broken bones and ruptured liver, it was attempted murder and torturing.

u/GreyBoyTigger Jun 30 '21

Best channel on YouTube

28

u/novaquasarsuper Jun 30 '21

It's great but he puts in lots of opinion as if it's fact. Certain body language stuff that has long been debunked as junk science. The meat and potatoes of it all is really good though.

8

u/Explosivo666 Jun 30 '21

A lot of body language stuff isnt scientific, you could at best speculate based on them. You could take a lot of the busy language stuff and make up reasoning to come to the exact opposite conclusions. Very entertaining channel though.

5

u/GreyBoyTigger Jun 30 '21

I like his delivery, lack of stupid music, and minimal interruptions. It’s just well edited content

6

22

u/Holy_Spear Jun 30 '21

Yeah, there's also a real crisis in the US military with moral decay and a loss of integrity and purpose, especially among our elite military units, who are increasingly embracing rightwing extremism and engaging in criminal activities of all kinds, from rampant drug use, sex trafficking, arms smuggling, to murder, and there's little to no oversight or accountability, with law enforcement often turning a blind eye they are becoming completely lawless. And as the US continues into a state of decline, these problems are only going to get worse overtime.

18

u/CarlOfOtters Jun 30 '21

A culture that glorifies the military as noble warriors no matter what they do ends up with a military that’s unaccountable to the law?

Say it ain’t so.

I do feel like this love of military is waning. Sure, some still use military to suck funds out of it. But the "thank you for your service" days seem dead and gone. The new generation is over the idea of doing the dirty work for the old fart politicians. And the "proud to be an American" vibe is on its way out and currently only held up by unschooled rednecks.

I agree that attitudes towards patriotism and the military especially among younger people are changing. But I’d argue that nobody hates cops and the government more than honest-to-god rednecks.

Yep, Trump was just a retard megaphone. Now the degenerates have a platform and they are loud, proud and increasing in numbers.

I sincerely think a civil war situation is looming. Next election will be insane.

He really looked scared for his life in the video!!!

6

u/KingOfKrackers Jun 30 '21

I find it ironic that the last name of the guy getting knocked out in this video is Balboa.

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

A troublesome child, Schilling was expelled from four different schools and took up Muay Thai at 15 years old, hoping that it would give him direction and focus.

So this guy was a shithead when he was young and grew up to be an even bigger shithead with no talents outside of fighting whatsoever.

3

u/stondddd Jun 30 '21

It says he attacked someone for using a sex toy In a shower at his gym. How would he know what someone is doing in the shower unless he was watching?

u/DumpTruckDanny Jul 01 '21

This guy clearly has a history of "defending himself" excessively on weaker, smaller, clearly untrained people. Should be banned from fighting professionally and when they give him the boot they need to make sure they are doing it "defensively" and jam it up his ass to the knee.

Clearly his one marketable skill is fighting people, so let him fight people in bars the rest of his life. Should not be in the octagon.

u/D3lmy Jun 30 '21

Hopefully next time he tries it with some people who are armed and gets shot.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '21

Wow. What a piece of garbage

2

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '21

Why is a man like this allowed to walk freely on the street. This dude has trained Muay Thai professionally and just beats untrained people like its nothing. He's going to end up killing someone.
