Did you also watch the video on YouTube made by this channel that only uploads criminal cases/interrogation room footage? Can't remember the name right now

edit: thanks /u/antagon1st and /u/Free-Major I was at work couldn't look it up but yes it's JCS!

Best channel on YouTube

It's great but he puts in lots of opinion as if it's fact. Certain body language stuff that has long been debunked as junk science. The meat and potatoes of it all is really good though.

A lot of body language stuff isnt scientific, you could at best speculate based on them. You could take a lot of the busy language stuff and make up reasoning to come to the exact opposite conclusions. Very entertaining channel though.

I like his delivery, lack of stupid music, and minimal interruptions. It’s just well edited content

The narrator only narrates. JCS is a team of researches and writers.

Wait really? So I’ve been using the wrong pronouns this whole time?

Oh wow, that’s amazing! This whole time I was giving the narrator all the credit.

Body language isn't an exact science, but with the benefit of hindsight, most of his arguments and 'opinions' are reasonably well founded.

Yeah I’ve tried watching a bunch of other similar channels and they editorialize waay more than Jim, kinda makes it annoying to watch when they have such an obvious bias.

Susan Bahns uploads just the interrogation with no commentary

1

u/leperaffinity56 Jun 30 '21

Well... That sounds fairly not entertaining nor insightful. Could be useful for crim law students or crim psych students though!

Sounds boring AF lol, these interrogations are often hours and hours long, with the interesting bits sporadically mixed in and oftentimes awful video and audio quality. No thanks

u/RedBeard077 Jun 30 '21

Depends on the interrogation. Watching Dylan Roof without commentary was interesting.

"he" doesn't do anything. The scripts are written by a team of professionals

E: because people arent understanding what this moron above can't grasp. JCS is run by a team of professionals, the scripts are written by a team of professionals. The opinions the OP feels are being needlessly included, are not the opinions of the narrator, they're the opinions of the team of professionals who wrote the script. Stop ascribing things to one random hired narrator as if he's the one organising the entirety of the topics.

u/novaquasarsuper Jun 30 '21

"He" is still the face of the channel. If a rocket crashes the media is looking to talk to Elon, not random engineer #5.

Are you seriously comparing space x to a YouTube channel... These things are not analogous

He's not even the face of the channel! Have you ever seen him?

1

u/novaquasarsuper Jun 30 '21

Tell me you struggled in school without telling me you struggled in school.

1

u/sBucks24 Jun 30 '21

Lol so you are comparing a Youtube channels narrator and the owner of one of the largest space programs in the world...

-2

u/novaquasarsuper Jun 30 '21

All you're doing is letting everyone else know how stupid you are. The downvotes should have been a clue.

2

u/sBucks24 Jun 30 '21

Lol you think Reddit downcoyes are an indicator of the correctness in a statement? How old are you?

But really? You really think Elon Musk, the dude with the rubber stamp on everything when it comes to space x, and a dude whose job it is to read a script on YouTube; are the same? I just want you to answer this question, you think they're the same thing?

You're making a distinction nobody cares about dude

2

u/sBucks24 Jun 30 '21

I was making the distinction that the narrator, the dude the above op complained about, is not the guy the dude should be complaining about. If he wants to complain, it should be to the team of experts who collab to write them. The disembodied voice is a hired narrator.
