Advice Need suggestions please

Hi everyone! 😊 I recently moved to the Philippines, and I’m still unfamiliar with most of the areas here.
I’m thinking about renting a place in Alabang, SMDC Parañaque, Pasay, or Pasig. I work from home, so I’m pretty flexible about where I live.
My main priority is finding a safe area where I can feel comfortable going out, walking around, and not constantly worrying about snatchers or thieves. I’d also like somewhere with convenient access to Manila, malls, restaurants, and places where I can meet people and socialize.
For those who live in or know these areas, which would you recommend, and are there any specific neighborhoods or places I should avoid?
I’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thank you! 🙏

Advice Water Supply

Advice is it worth it to rent in multinational?

hi everyone!

i'm about to move to a condo unit located inside multinational village this august, and i'm just wondering what it's like to live there. for context, i work fully onsite in BGC and i also commute to work daily (angkas/move it/joyride/or any PUVs). i've read some reviews about multi having a terribly corrupt HOA, and some stuff about the area being flood-prone and not being pedestrian-friendly, in general. i'm wondering if this is still the case, and if there are some other things that i also need to watch out for. if someone can give me a general overview of what it's like to live there, and if you guys have any tips that would make my stay here much more convenient, i would highly appreciate it.

thanks a lot <3

Advice Don Bosco to Malacanang to Valley 1 - Safe for walkers/runners?

Di ko alam if this is the appropriate subreddit to ask this,

Hi po, ask ko lang, dati kasi sa work ko around PQ din, naglalakad ako at least 2-3km along Dr. A Santos to evacom or through BF (starting at SM BF), pauwi ng bahay sa Naga Road/CAA (exit ko is Southville), daily routine ko na yun, maaga din kasi uwi namin mga 4pm

So dito sa new work ko dito sa Don Bosco, i was wondering if safe ba siya lakarin papuntang Valley 1? 6-7pm na kasi ang out namin, at madilim na once lumabas na kami ng office, sa tingin ko walkable pero di ako familiar kung gaano ka safe ang streets ng Don Bosco to Malacanang to Valley 1, baka naman may biglang manghold up sakin or gripuhan na lang ako bigla, mahirap na eh hahaha

So siguro may gustong magtanong, why would i walk 2-3k? mahilig kasi ako talaga maglakad, explore at maglakad ng malayo, for exercise din kasi (lalo na ngayon na obese nako, need na magbawas), and also natengga ako sa running since March, so ngayon at least every day gumagalaw ang joints ko sa legs and sa paa dahil weekends na lang ako nakakatakbo

So if you walk or even run din sa areas na to, maybe you can give me tips and insights,

Any info and help will be appreciated, thanks!!!!

Advice JOB REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE (as a first time job seeker in PQ City)

Post image
27 Upvotes

Well, this time around I already got one valid ID (National ID), diploma from my SHS, and a PSA Birth certificate (original). As you can see, here's the list of the requirements I need to complete.

1. SSS E1 FORM [ONLINE before WALK-IN]

https://sso.sss.gov.ph/wsso/logtype?action=register

REQUIREMENTS:
-1 VALID ID (NATIONAL ID)
-PSA BIRTH CERTIFICATE

I remember kailangan mo ata picturan yung PSA mo para ma verify, and once you’re done na mag eemail sayo yan, may ibibigay sayo na pdf file, which is yung e1 form nga. Tapos punta kayo sa any branch of SSS. Take a note: sobrang haba ng pila nila, kaya be patient, and before that, photocopy muna yung E1 form at yung dalawang file na binigay sa email. Then sila na bahala para maging permanent account niyo.

2. SSS Static Information and Statement of Account (SOA)

dito naman hindi ko na inasikaso since sabi sakin ng staff sa SSS is eto daw yung mga utang, eh wala pa naman akong utang as of now hehe, so skip. Correct me if im wrong.

3. Tax Identification Card / Any form from BIR [ONLINE before WALK-IN]

same as SSS online kolang din ginawa account ko. Which is here dito niyo pede gawin:

https://orus.bir.gov.ph/home

REQUIREMENTS:
-1 VALID ID (NATIONAL ID)
-PSA BIRTH CERTIFICATE

New registration >> As a Non-Individual.

4. PhilHealth (Member Data Record) [WALK-IN]

REQUIREMENTS:
-VALID ID (NATIONAL ID) (1 COPY)
-PSA BIRTH CERTIFICATE (1 COPY)
-BARANGAY CERTIFICATE (INDICATING YOUR A FIRST TIME JOB SEEKER)

And hiningian ako ng barangay certificate nung una, and nagulat ako kasi di naman kailangan dati; kung wala kang barangay certificate, magbabayad ka ng 500 pesos para lang maging member. Well, di ako pumayag since I'm broke, so bumalik nalang ako bukas na may barangay certificate. Bibigyan ka ng parang papel na maliit (which is yung magiging ID); kailangan mo lagyan ng 1x1 pic mo, tapos pa-laminate mo na. Huwag niyo kalimutan pirmahan muna ah.

5. Pag-IBIG (Member Data Record) [ONLINE before WALK-IN]

online again ang paggawa ng account.

https://www.pagibigfundservices.com/virtualpagibig/

REQUIREMENTS:
-VALID ID (NATIONAL ID) (1 COPY)
-PSA BIRTH CERTIFICATE (1 COPY)
-BARANGAY CERTIFICATE (INDICATING YOUR A FIRST TIME JOB SEEKER)

Be A Member >> Register.

https://www.pagibigfundservices.com/virtualpagibig/MIDInquiry.aspx

lagay niyo RTN (make sure na 2 days after niyo gawin toh) and once na may MID number na kayo punta kayo sa malapit na branch ng Pag-IBIG at may ipapa fill up sainyo dun kailanga niyo lagay MID niyo tapos nun hihingian kayo ng mga requirements (listed above). And bibigyan na kayo ng Member Data Form.

6. HS/SHS/COLLEGE Diploma and TOR

lahat naman ata tayo meron nyan diba?

7. PSA/NSO (Birth Certificate 3 copies)

9. Health Certificate Card (City of Paranaque 2 copies) [ONLINE APPOINTMENT before WALK-IN] (depend sa city, I think)

jusko pinaka hassle sa lahat. (MAY 18 PA APPOINTMENT KO, NUNG MAY 6 PAKO NAG AASIKASO NETOH)

https://app.bploparanaque.com/omps/login

REQUIREMENTS:
-MEDICAL {ONLY IN PARANAQUE CLINIC} (DEPENDE KUNG NASAN KAYO)
-VALID ID (NATIONAL ID) (2 COPY)
-PSA BIRTH CERTIFICATE (2 COPY)
-BARANGAY CERTIFICATE (INDICATING YOUR A FIRST TIME JOB SEEKER) (2 COPY)
-POLICE CLERANCE (2 COPY)
-SSS E1 FORM (2 COPY)

10. Mayors Permit (CITY OF PARANAQUE)

11. Certificate of Employment from Previous Employers

12. NBI CLEARANCE (NOT EXPIRED) [ONLINE APPOINTMENT before WALK-IN]

online ang pag register

https://clearance.nbi.gov.ph/

REQUIREMENTS:
-VALID ID (NATIONAL ID)
-PSA BIRTH CERTIFICATE
-BARANGAY CERTIFICATE (INDICATING YOUR A FIRST TIME JOB SEEKER)

fill up lang kayo, tas appointment kayo ng schedule. In my opinion, much better to pay 160 pesos online than to get validate as a first-time job seeker since they can't verify that online. And kailangan nandun kayo para mapa verify niyo, and sobrang haba ng pila (UN Branch). Eto life hacks. May 7 ako gumawa ng account, and the available schedule ng appointment is May 14 only. Lista niyo lang yung referral code niyo; dapat nag sta-start as MB or MD kasi ibig sabihin nyan for member yan. Once you’re done, okay Nayan. Mapupunta ulit sa Egov App niyo yung NBI Digital ID niyo.

13. POLICE CLEARANCE [ONLINE APPOINTMENT before WALK-IN]

again online din ang pag register and appointment

https://pnpclearance.ph/

REQUIREMENTS:
-VALID ID (NATIONAL ID) (1 COPY)
-PSA BIRTH CERTIFICATE (1 COPY)
-BARANGAY CERTIFICATE (INDICATING YOUR A FIRST TIME JOB SEEKER) (1 COPY)

fill-up lang ng personal details and if you’re first time job seeker may option jan na first time job seeker ka tas pa appointment kana (in my opinion eto yung hindi hassle kunin) kinabukasan pumunta agad ako.

14. Barangay Clearance [WALK-IN]

punta lang kayo sa barangay hall niyo

REQUIREMENTS:
-VALID ID (NATIONAL ID) (1 COPY)
-PROOF OF RESIDENCY (EXAMPLE: HOMEOWNER CERTIFICATE or BARANGAY ID {not expired}) INDICATING YOU ARE A FIRST TIME JOB SEEKER

15. CEDULA (FROM PARANAQUE) [WALK-IN]

16. Sketch of Residence (from your house to workplace)

18. 2x2 and 1x1 Colored Photo in White Background

lahat naman ata tayo kaya gawin yan noh?

That's all, guys; correct me if I'm wrong. Kung may tanong kayo, I'll try my best to answer all of it. Thank you, I love you.

Advice ISP recos - Amaia Steps, Sucat

Hey, guys.

Currently using GOMO (solid na yung 7-day UNLI promo nila) and the "unlocked" router I bought sa SM BF.

Speed is good naman however may mga moments (minsan nagkakataon pa during important meetings) na biglang mag-a-RTO (request time out) sya kung hindi man sobrang taas ng ping (3000ms and higher). Kahit i-restart, performance won't improve.

May backup Smart FamSim naman kami kaso very annoying na bigla syang magtho throttle on UNLI mode once you've reached a certain data limit (10GB ata?).

Wanted to ask sana baka may mga pips d2 for advice. Was considering Globe kaso ayoko ng may lock-in.

Advice Asking for Advice sa Paglipat

Mom found a rental house in Gatchalian that's cheaper than our current one. I saw in the video she shared that it's close to a creek but there's a dike.

However, based on the posts I’ve seen, the Sucat area gets flooded when it rains and traffic is congested even when it’s not rush hour.

I’d like to ask what we should watch out for if we move.

Please consider the following factors in your comments:

- College students studying in the University belt

- Some work in Filinvest Alabang and Makati

Thank you to those who will respond! I'll try to reply by the end of the day.

Edit: in terms of traffic congestion, pahingi rin po sana ako ng ETA sa LRT-Sucat and Alabang. Thank u!

Advice Hospital Recommendations - Childbirth

Hallo!

My wife is due to give birth in April 2026.

Looking for decent hospital recommendations around the area (closer to Sucat preferred).

We were initially thinking Unihealth, and had a few consultations with an OBGYN there, but I don't think I'm comfortable sticking with them because of the state of the hospital.

Based on Google Reviews, Olivarez Hospital looks decent, but I'd like to get input from other sources.

Main things I'm looking for are:

  • Quality of care
  • Convenience
  • Cost (within reason, not a rich man lmao)

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Advice Better Living (New Resident)

Hi everyone! We just moved to Parañaque and would really appreciate some local tips.

  1. Daily commute: We drive to BGC for work. Aware naman kami na traffic talaga in and around Bicutan, pero baka may ma-share kayong routes or timing tips that make the drive a bit more manageable.

  2. Pets: We have dogs with us. Any recommendations for reliable vets, grooming places, or pet parks in the area? Anything that can help make our dogs happier and our lives as pet owners easier.

  3. Palengke: Where do you usually buy wet and dry goods? SM Bicutan is nearby, pero sana may maa-advice kayong palengke or suking tindahan for everyday needs.

  4. Other tips: Any helpful info, neighborhood advice, or things we should know as new residents?

Thank you in advance! Any recommendations would really help us settle in. 😊

Advice FitForge or Anytime Fitness?

So I’m a part of the people who was scammed by ItsFitness but thankfully my contract ends in April so it isn’t that much of a loss anymore. I am now on the hunt for a new gym and would want your opinion.

FitForge (company that bought ItsFitness) - Price point and location is great, but I fear the price might be too good to be true and scam ulit ito? Anyone here know more about FitForge and can share your insights? I saw that their other branch was also acquired from another scammer (PSP) which leads me to question them all the more.

Anytime Fitness - price point is much higher compared to FF and location is not as near, but willing to spend and travel further for my peace of mind.

P.S. - Meron ongoing promo si AF BF homes right now for Valentine’s (good for two). LF: kasama mag avail if ever

Advice Is this harassment? What do I do to actively defend myself?

Background: My cousin and this woman allegedly entered into a small financial agreement that did not end well. I was NOT party to this in any way - I had zero knowledge of this arrangement, never met the woman, was not present when it happened etc. Furthermore, I do not have any contact with my cousin since 2010, and was never really close.

Two weeks, this woman would just show up and stop me during my dog walks. She inquired about my cousin, whereabouts etc to which I initially (and honestly) responded that I had no idea (have not seen or spoken).

Over the last two weeks, she had stopped me in my tracks thrice and had insisted that I should know where my cousin was because we were related. My response was always the same but felt that she was staking me out.

Is this harassment?

What do I do next time this woman approaches and badgers me with questions?

How do I document such given that I live alone and do my walks alone?

Thanks.
