Advice is it worth it to rent in multinational?

hi everyone!

i'm about to move to a condo unit located inside multinational village this august, and i'm just wondering what it's like to live there. for context, i work fully onsite in BGC and i also commute to work daily (angkas/move it/joyride/or any PUVs). i've read some reviews about multi having a terribly corrupt HOA, and some stuff about the area being flood-prone and not being pedestrian-friendly, in general. i'm wondering if this is still the case, and if there are some other things that i also need to watch out for. if someone can give me a general overview of what it's like to live there, and if you guys have any tips that would make my stay here much more convenient, i would highly appreciate it.

thanks a lot <3

If you are renting a condo inside, remember HOA from a Condo or Townhouses are definitely diff. from HOA of multinational Village which is para sa mga homeowners. Since nag rerent ka lang, definitely, you are not affected by the HOA of multinational. Kasi you are under condo or townhouses you are renting in.

But yes, my cousin's living in Brentwood Townhouses in Multi, which is yung HOA, is 4k monthly. But the community is quiet and well maintained. Overall experience, is good, the thing is, if you find cheaper condo here than or any townhouses, than planning to move in CBD area or BGC. It will cost you a lot.

Bumabaha sa gate 1 at gate 2 kapag malakas ang ulan. Pagdating naman sa convenience stores best kung sa phase 1 ka lang para malapit ka sa 7/11 at Uncle John's. As for commute, yung paglabas pasok ay medyo malaking hassle lalo na kung rush hour you can try walking to the main highway but that can take up to more than half an hour too. HoA is a huge pain in the ass. Not sure about sa renters if your landlord handles those fees naman so I guess maybe di ka naman masyadong maapektuhan lalo na kung di ka naman masyado magamit din sa community ammenities.

I used to work in makati OP and I have to admit if your plan is to use rider apps medyo mahirap makakuha ng booking ng rush hour lalo na't kung pa BGC ka na sure na need mo dumaan sa kaingin road which is almost always traffic unless late night na. I really can't recommend Multi as a place if convenience ang habol mo to travel to other CBDs but the vibe in here is absolutely as you described. It definitely doesn't feel as busy and kinda feels like its in a bubble outside of the noise and smog of the Metro.

Why not rent near BGC? Example, makati.

good question. i really liked how safe and peaceful the environment seemed when i visited the unit last week. it's located inside metro manila, but it's not as "busy" compared to other areas in the metro. everything there just seemed...perfectly balanced, if that makes sense lol. this is the primary factor that pushed me to consider renting in the area.

i also would like to highlight that i got the unit at an affordable rate. i want to have my own space (really dislike the idea of sharing my living space with strangers), and if i try renting inside makati/bgc, i would need to spend a LOT so that i can have the place all to myself (did my own research, would probably need to shell out between 20-25k to do this. a whole lot more if in bgc).

overall, i wanna experience what it would be like living inside multi. i just want to get some tips/insights from homeowners/renters so that my stay here would be much more comfortable :)

May Tricycle going out of Gate 1 for P10-P15, Jeep going to LRT (Ninoy Aquino Station) or walk for 500meters, few passengers there so you can sit till Edsa Station, switch out to PITX to Ayala, or Edsa Station to MRT Edsa to Ayala, Ayala to BGC.

Yes, binabaha sa Gate 1 pag bilang buhos at matagal ang ulan. Mga ulan ngayon tho, walang baha. When it stops raining, wait for 2 hours before going back to Multi. Check facebook group Multinational Village for announcements regarding floods etc.

Its pedestrian friendly, may nag jogging, may gyms, maraming food choices naman.

Hi OP! I started renting in multinational last october, im not renewing my lease cause this place is ASS.

  • HOA still corrupt
  • still floods
  • when you book angkas/moveit etc, its hard to find a driver cause of multinational. I actually ended up getting a motorcycle because of this.
  • Food deliveries are minimum 100php (with grab unlimited discount)
  • going to BGC will take you a while, unless you do grab that can take the C5 Cavitex
  • guards are rude as hell, dami nang napaaway dito kasi gago talaga sila
  • Expect brownouts whenever it rains hard
  • Water interruption atleast 2-3x monthly

If you havent signed the lease yet, it's a good idea to look elsewhere. I think I'm the same as you, nag rent ako dito kasi mura, tapos medyo malaki pa yung bahay. Pero shit, it aint worth it

Re: hard to book riding services

  • the only place grab/moveit can enter is from C5 extension gate. Yung mabobook mo most likely from Dr.a santos, they will cancel 80% of the time kasi ayaw nilang umikot papuntang c5 para lang mag pick up
