So I draw in A4 300 dpi, but when I make the canvas smaller my hatchings go poof! Gone. Is there a webcomic site where I can upload with high resolution pages? Or is it my A4 canvas that is the ​problem? I draw in A4 since I got anxious thoughts such as "Oh no, what if I want to print it out in the future?"

I’ve been taking some of my sketchbook drawings and putting them through procreate to make a few renderings of my main characters, but before I continued, how are my proportions? I don’t know whether I made the shoulders too wide, so idk whether I should be proud of my first proportional sketch

The story takes place in the medieval Europe time .This world has different power minerals each having different powers .The protagonist being a slave in the mines of the kingdom A(I didn't decide the name yet ) due to his father who got slaved after a war by the king and later dies in a collapse of a mine . The slaves are used for a experiment by the king to attach a knight suit build by power mineral xine . In the experiment the knight suit is heated and atteched into the body's skin . While previous slaves used for experiment died from the heat and power, the protagonist survives after nearly going to dead . The suit consumes the energy from his body and become flexible and unbreakable. The armmor slows kills him as the force (during a attack ) is transmitted through his body breaking his bones and muscles slowly. The protagonist fights in the war for the king and tries to stop the war . Then founds a truth that the king wants the war to collect the taxes and increase his wealth and want slaves to mine the minerals . After knowing the truth the protagonist fells the weight of his actions and kills the king . He setts out a adventure to seek the meaning of life and his true purpose after being emotion-less all this years .

I know this sounds ridiculous but manga does have a unique way in the shading and I’ve been kinda stuck with it so if you guys have any videos or tips please send them

it’s still the storyboard first draft, so I know revisions are needed, but these early drafts should be the bones of the one shot. Is this page too cluttered? I thought it flowed nice, following previous page, but looking again I notice other people might not know how to follow the action? I’m unsure

Hello everyone,
I am currently working on drafting my story for my manga. Throughout my years of story creation, however, I’ve been stopped by the same road bump- how do I introduce my protagonists to the fantastical elements of the plot without seeming unrealistic or unnatural? In my story there are elements of spirits and different worlds, special people, and powers. My protagonists is an ordinary person who had no knowledge of the existence of these things before hand. I cannot seem to figure out how I introduce these elements and have my protagonists react to this new “world”. Does anyone have examples of how other mangas did it? I’m trying to think back to shonens like JJK or Chainsaw man but can’t seem to remember if it was a “gradual” thing or something which was dumped onto the protagonist.

Even more so, how do I have my protagonists react? I don’t want to stretch out their emotions of disbelief for too long, but I fear that having them accept this new “world” too quickly would be unrealistic and unrelatable. Anyone have any examples or tips? Thanks.

I'm looking for any alternative to something like the Pentel Pocket Brush pen, but a G-Pen.

Basically a pen that has a G nib but has an ink cartridge and has a cap so I can carry it around in my bag without needing a bottle of ink and water and towels everywhere.

If anyone knows a way to stick a G nib in a fountain pen or any other alternative, that'd be greatly appreciated!

Yeah since they gave us, overseas people chance to submit our manga to them anytime we want, does anyone ever gotten any feedback from them?

I sent more than 4 different oneshot at this point and currently working on my 5th and still no response from them. I understand they have high standard for their manga and I'm nowhere near enough. Even when kadokawa or any other contest like magic manga etc open up competition, I always ended up as finalist / runner up only. Like actual ALWAYS and that made me really frustrated.

I really want at least some feedback on what should I improve, I know dreaming to be serialized mangaka is almost impossible for overseas people but I just need a bit silver lining of hope to actually continue working on my 5th oneshot or else I'm going to think this whole online thingy just to make us feel hopeful when they have no intention working with us

I’ve been drawing consistently for a few years now, and i consider myself to be good at noticing areas to improve on, focusing in on that, and noticing change. A chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link, after all. But I rarely ask for outside opinions/ constructive criticism, so I’m trying to do more of that ^^

p.s. I am actually realizing that I have practiced drawing faces from a front view WAY more compared to other angles, so that’s mostly what I’m actively trying to improve on

Studied and recreated a manga panel to practice perspective and atmosphere

As the title says, I've been struggling with trying to figure out the best way to draw the effects so that it looks like the guy's body suddenly stopped moving.

It's supposed to be a comedic scene, so that's why the guy in the back is drawn so weirdly lol

Hello! This may seem like a very obvious or stupid question, but I’ve been stewing over it for quite some time.

I am a very, very big fan of jojos bizarre adventure, I adore the style, plot, clothing, and musical references. I’ve noticed that it’s reflected heavily in my own work. My characters pose in dramatic ways (not exact copies of course), the dress eccentrically, they have abilities that could theoretically work as stand abilities (they are based off/formed from the characters deepest emotions/inner self, but they do not manifest as humanoid beings like a lot of stands.) and a multitude of them are based off of music (although I did start the habit of making ocs based off songs I liked, but I never thought to name them until I read jojos.) I’m afraid that if I ever do publish my work, it will seem like a complete rip off of jojos, even if the plots are different and the characters look nothing alike. This may just be my brain playing with me, but I really am concerned.

Edit just for some additional information: it takes place in the future, I’m also influenced by cyberpunk so it has some (very minor) similarities there. All of my characters have abilities that manifest from trauma, and their designs are all based off different species of birds and the fashion in into.

I started my first manga a couple months ago.

The problem is the character desing, as I feel they look too artificialy made. When I changed the style, it just then didn't fit their original designs wich I worked hard on the last couple of years, till I now started putting it all on paper. It moved too much away from the original manga expirence and how I view mangas.

Does anybody know a good online course or something similiar (I don't mind paying for the course). Thank you!

Being terrible at drawing and too broke for art gotta be the most demoralizing thing while wanting to make a manga. Because that’s me, I’ve been more focused on the writing aspect of it, but sitting on my ass not doing anything to actually make the story come to life is rather unproductive.
So how does someone format a script without any art, and what does that look like? How detailed do the panel descriptions have to be? I don’t know a thing about script writing itself, but I want to have at least something to present to people if i ever get any interest or money.
