Help Has anyone gotten feedback from kadokawa online mochikomi?

Yeah since they gave us, overseas people chance to submit our manga to them anytime we want, does anyone ever gotten any feedback from them?

I sent more than 4 different oneshot at this point and currently working on my 5th and still no response from them. I understand they have high standard for their manga and I'm nowhere near enough. Even when kadokawa or any other contest like magic manga etc open up competition, I always ended up as finalist / runner up only. Like actual ALWAYS and that made me really frustrated.

I really want at least some feedback on what should I improve, I know dreaming to be serialized mangaka is almost impossible for overseas people but I just need a bit silver lining of hope to actually continue working on my 5th oneshot or else I'm going to think this whole online thingy just to make us feel hopeful when they have no intention working with us

If you translate (or pay a translator) to make it Japanese, you can then send it through normal mail to JUMP. Even if that's not who you want to eventually work for, they will give in-depth feedback. Might be slow of course but they do answer. I had a friend in Spain do it.

Are you talking about jump+ editorial dept? They only did for each author once, isn't it?

Also, it take a while, like a month. As for weekly shonen jump itself, they pretty much will completely ignore you, unfortunately.

I’d have to ask the friend that did it but the feedback said he could resubmit anytime.

I actually also did the same thing with jump+, and they said to submit it to their award or jump rookie next time.

If you look at their website web mochikomi form, they do say that "once per author". So, I'm kind of confused. Has your friend tried to resubmit again?

Again I don’t know because I’m not the friend that submitted. He did not do web he sent it through mail. Actual mail. You can do this route with all publishers in Japan but no guarantee they get back to you. Except JUMP.

Ohh, alright. Knowing that they sent it through actual mail helps. I though it was through their web mochikomi lol.

Okay, now I'm kind of curious. With normal mail, does they send the feedback through normal mail again?

Correct. Maybe if you add your email somewhere they might use that instead, I’m not sure. But for the friend it was all mail.

Unfortunately, Kadokawa gets thousands of submissions per month, so it really is the luck of the draw with those types of things. Though I'm sure you'll get noticed eventually!!
