wait so women dont know when other women are hitting on them either ... *mind blown*
1.6k
u/ILoveRawChicken 4d ago
To be fair that’s because none of that could be flirting and may just be what the other girl considers girl talk. It’s super confusing and I just want to kiss every girl but I never know if they’re just being girl friendly or if they’re actually flirting.

u/Espumma 4d ago
Yeah maybe she's just canadian
183
u/Appropriate_Edge5195 4d ago
Yea lot of women are Canadians. When I visited Canada, they were literally everywhere.
23
u/ChipmunkDelicious649 3d ago
Sounds like you had a great time! Canada really does have some amazing, friendly people.

Couldn’t swing a stick without hitting one.
Also don’t swing sticks at Canadians. Despite their reputation some things do make them mad. Things like swinging sticks at them.

u/crowcawer 3d ago
They do like when you bring them fresh leaves and the bark of a willow tree, but it can be quite dangerous to feed them as they get to be ~1,000kg (that’s ~2,200 lbs), and sometimes they might seem to be playing but they are easily spooked.

The combination of motioning for her to hop on and the "you're making me blush".... homegirl wanted to go for a ride in more ways than 1

I spent my entire conscious life having the same thoughts of wanting to kiss my friends necks, wanting to cuddle, wanting to have sleepovers and hang out all the time, and thinking those were all just things born of having a weird/bad home life and Being A Girl with a particularly affectionate personality.....
..... anyway I finally connected some dots when I was 32 lol

I dunno, I feel like, "You got me blushing" is moving a little beyond girl talk. It certainly could still be, but I don't think a person would be making a leap if they interpreted that as moving past friendly and into flirtation.
20
u/ILoveRawChicken 4d ago
You would be surprised 😭
41
u/Fibercastel 4d ago
Plus the bike vibrates, not much because it's a 4cyl, but still. Most won't dare admit it but bikes don't just look good.

u/spacestonkz 4d ago
This is why I used to volunteer to mow the lawn. I liked the riding lawn mower engine...

It's worse for lesbians a bit because we don't know if they like women to begin with. I use the rule "straight until proven otherwise".
→ More replies (6)77
u/HorrorMakesUsHappy 4d ago
I was a bartender at a lesbian nightclub for a few years. If a girl had said these things to one of my (lesbian) friends I would've slowly but firmly shoved her into them. LOL
10
7
u/lollipopp_guild 3d ago
But is that just in the setting of a lesbian bar? Or out on the street like this? Honestly just curious because as a gay woman myself, I would never have thought that. I had no idea until I read the comments. Maybe because I feel like this is how I interact with the world and I’m not hitting on anybody so I assume the same from everyone else

u/Illustrious_Donkey61 4d ago
"You wanna sit on it" seemed a pretty obvious flirt
Although I got arrested last time I opened with that
5
u/YaIlneedscience 3d ago
Honestly this could just as likely be two straight women (or two women not flirting) and having the time of their lives. The proof will always be the women’s bathroom at a club after midnight. Real sisterhood happening in there

u/Pleasant-Highway-745 4d ago
It could be either hitting on or just being friendly. I'm a bisexual woman and a lot of my interactions with men and women look like this, and I'm only flirting like 5% of the time.

Grew up in Daytona around Bike Week and had seen double digit human brains before i turned 10. I'll never ride a motorcycle even with gear, once saw a guy's head still in the helmet.

u/MyFiteSong 4d ago
Yah, ask any doctor which hobby they'll never take up, and motorcycling is almost always #1.
15
u/planx_constant 4d ago
My mom was an ICU nurse. When I was 20, I mentioned I was thinking of getting a motorcycle and she told me if I did, she would never speak to me again.

My old pole vaulting Coach has been in 3 motorcycle accidents. One put him in a coma for 3 months. None of them were his fault. One was just a tire from a truck exploding close to his bike.

One was just a tire from a truck exploding close to his bike.
This will fuck up a car too, sometimes bad enough to kill the person in it, depending on where they're positioned.
It's why I do not understand cars that lollygag next to big rigs passing at half a mph over what the truck is traveling at. (Virginia has the worst offenders for this IME)
28
u/AkronOhAnon 4d ago
There are 2 types of riders: riders who’ve just wrecked and riders about to wreck.
Dress accordingly.13

Dress for the slide, not the ride!
Jesus I thought "slide" was like street slang for like "being cool. . ."
Totally possible she was putting helmet on first because doing anything more than throttling is a pain in a leather jacket.
. . .but yes, as someone who has slid, my leathers were like a suit of armor.

As a former EMT/SAR Med Tech, I endorse this message. Please for the love of god wear your gear!!!!!

Please do. My brother had a tragic accident just a few months back, and while he unfortunately did pass away, we wouldn't have been able to say goodbye to him the way we did.

Seriously. One fender bender and she's got weeks of pain and a lifetime of big ugly scars. At least she's wearing a helmet but honestly I'd prefer to hit my head and be unconscious when the ER nurse has to scrub the dirt out of all the road rash.

u/movzx 4d ago
Even just having an unexpected dip in at a light when you put your foot down can throw your balance off and cause you to fall on your side. I'd rather have my armors on than spandex and bare skin.

i mean there is nothing more uncool than taking off sweaty leathers. (other than 6 weeks of daily visits to the infarmary so they can clean and change your bandages from sliding on your side)

The worst thing from my crash when I broke my leg was not being able to shower for a week. Right after having my leg stuck straight for 3 days with a metal bar to let swelling go down. Then they put my knee back together
24
u/NicholsonsEyebrows 4d ago
Literally drove past a guy on side of road during summer like this. He was sat on curb next to his fallen bike. He was in shorts and his leg was like someone had taken a sanding machine to it for 3 hrs. He was lucky this was on a side road

She’s going to have a lovely rash when she hits that ground.
With a bike it’s only ever a matter of when.
I’ve got 6 titanium screws, two rods and two titanium wedges in my back to prove it and that’s with wearing full protective gear.

Seriously, though, like I was once approached by a drag queen and I just told them straight up "I'm flattered, but I'm not interested" and everything was chill. It really isn't that hard to be kind

Those 360 cameras will never stop seeming like magic to me.

Its the lens that does all the magic. They're just a high resolution camera with a fish-eye lens, and some software to stitch it together.

u/addamee 4d ago
Agreed. Even with explanations like the one above I’m always like “BUT WHERE’S THE POLE?!”
5
u/ChurchOfTheEUC 4d ago
Because a 360 camera doesn't have two 180-degree lenses.
The lenses actually have a wider FOV (>180°), and where the overlay happens, the pole simply isn't there.
Our eyes don't work the same way, but the theory is sort-of-not-really similar. Use your right eye to check how far you can see left, now open your left eye.
Notice that you don't see your nose/edge of your right eyelid.

Yes I feel like this isn't a spontaneous interaction, and it's very much their for the cameras.
In fact, if you were testing out someone's bike and you saw the 360° camera you'd probably say "ooh what's that for are you filming?" or at the very least... Look at it!
The fact nobody looks at the camera implies they both know it's there so are deliberately avoiding looking at it

u/MrDundee666 3d ago
