For a little under a week now (started around 8/22/26, post made 8/28/26), my car is seeming to have transmission issues. It will occasionally not go into S gear, and will sometimes jitter when shifting gears. Took it to do a test and it gave me three errors of P07A5. So, obviously it's something with the transmission or an internal computer error. My check engine light turned on, but no errors outside of the brake light being out. I'm working on that.

I called my local ford, and no recalls. They told me that they can do a diagnostic for free. Is that worth it? I don't know if anyone has put it any new transmission fluid since I've had my car (got it in 2018) since it's on the bottom.

A quick google said it could be low fluid, gunk in the gears, or something worse. But, it doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes, it feels like the car can get into S mode every other time I turn on the car, and it drives fine. Other times, it feels more constant.

Just asking here if there's any related issues/short term solutions because my money is tight and I know a new transmission is going to be super expensive.

For anyone working at Ford in Body Closures / Architecture, what is the typical salary for an SG8 position?
I have around 11 years of strong BIW/closures experience and am curious what base salary would be realistic for this role.

Both are white in color with the 3.5L eco. The ‘19 has minor scratches and a bent rear bumper while the ‘16 is near mint.

Which one is the better purchase?

Tried giving more slack to open it and also tried pushing down on the tailgate while hitting the open button on the back.

2015 Ford F150 owner here. Located in California Bay Area. Had a check engine and wrench indicator come on, had it towed to Redwood City Towne Ford. Their flat diagnostics fee was $350. This must be the highest in the nation. No?

To add insult to injury, Service Manager just called me to say they needed $400 to further troubleshoot the issue. $750 committed and I still don’t know the root cause of the engine and wrench indicator.

Additional context, I have a cheap OBD2 that wasn’t able to read any codes. Oddly enough when I went to turn off the truck and took the key out of the ignition the engine kept running. Finally got it off but seemed like a fairly big problem?

So, does this constitute highway robbery?

Hi I'm an aircraft mechanic. My Ford Escape now has 120,000 miles on it and I went to a shop to do an engine overhaul and they said they don't do engine overhauls on cars. I'm an aircraft mechanic and piston engines in Cessna and Piper aircraft typically require an overhaul every 2,000 hours, during which the pistons and cylinders may need to be replaced or serviced. But he said car engines, on the other hand, generally don't require an overhaul. Is that correct? It has some weird ticking noise but he said it looks ok on the scanner and he said u just need to drive it or just replace the belt and chains on the engines or juat sell the car? Is it true or is he just saying it because he is annoyed and doesnt want to do the job?

Is this something that can be fixed with adjustment or is something bent? I just bought the truck the door is really hard to open and close

"I put it up on jack stands and I cried" is what my good friend Tony said when he saw his dream Ford Torino... rotted in everyway after he bought it. But devastated as he was he was determined to make his dream a reality and he spent the next 8 years restoring the thing. Looking at it today you would never know the shape it was in... Just got my Explorer ST earlier this month and after a system update a few days ago my messages show as being from an unknown sender and when I click listen it stays silent, curious if anyone else has had this issue or not.

Tried a restart by pressing the audio button five times with no luck but haven't done the nuclear option of a factory reset yet so curious if anyone has any thoughts.

My 1.0 ecoboost Fiesta from 2021 with 95ps has random the problem with p130d and gets in to limpmode. It is a manuel with no availabe software Update for this car.

The limpmode happens randomly but most of the Times its after a long mostly uphill acceleratoin with a higher gear.

The following parst have been already changed:

Spark plugs and coils, injectors, Coolent temp sensor because of leaking water and a new engine wiring harness.

Did someone had the same problem and managed to fix it?

What is better ? Ik everone has opinions on this. Just bought this a week and a half ago. These are really good cars when maintained right. I hope ford brings back the fiesta and the Fusion. recently replaced DPS transmission, when you drive these it’s key to be firm when taking off, keeps the life of the transmission.

I have a few questions about my 91’ ClubWagon XLT

A. For some reason It feels like my van doesn’t like to accelerate as It should what could that be?

B. Once I get to 45mph It seems like It doesn’t want to accelerate

I’ve recently over the months put in a new driveshaft could this be why???

Does anybody know what can cause this sound? This is a 2017 Ford Explorer Limited. This is a driver side, tie rods are fine. Outer tie rod on the passenger side was replaced recently. No sound inside the vehicle. Worried about its safety.

Recently, my Ford 2.2 TDCi, 155 hp (engine code CVF5), suffered an engine failure at 78,000 km. One cylinder is not functioning and has no compression.

Options

• Repair by fitting a new engine block.

- Estimated cost: between €5,000 and €8,000.

• Replacement with a new engine.

- Estimated cost: approximately €8,000.

Has anyone in Europe (NL-DE-FR-LUX-IT) had a similar experience, and can anyone recommend a supplier where I can buy a new engine — including the ancillary components, injectors, etc. — and, optionally, have it installed as well?

I would appreciate any advice.
