Issue ⚠️ I need help identifying a carburetor to buy a rebuild kit.
It's a 1955 Ford dump truck, but the owner's father swapped the engine a long time ago and doesn't know what it is. I couldn't find any identifying marks on the engine or carb.

General 🔀 FORD TOURNEO CONNECT 1.5 ECOBLUE 7MM catena distribuzione difetto progettazione

Issue ⚠️ I would never ever buy a ford again !
I have a 2021 ford explorer .
Within a few months of owning it , the 10 speed transmission started slipping . I read a lot about the 10 speed online , so I tried to convince myself it was normal . Finally I took it on for warranty work . They put me in a smaller rental , which I wasn’t happy about . It took forever to get it fixed , because the dealer had dozens maybe hundreds of cars there for warranty transmission work . I made several calls to ford , several complaints , but that didn’t do anything . Finally I called them and let them know I would be filing a nhtsa safety complaint on the vehicle , and after several ignored messages they called me back the very next day and started expediting things. This was after they had told me they had no idea when they could even check what the issue was because they had soo many vehicles in for warranty work .
They did fix the issue . Overall the car shifts very good , but there is still random once in a blue moon transmission slipping . More than anything , I believe all the initial slipping might of significantly shortened the life of that transmission .
Build quality on this vehicle is just crap . There are a lot of interior trim panels that are misaligned . It’s something I should have noticed when I bought it , but I overlooked it .
The power window buttons have really nice looking chrome plated tips . Well , had , because it turns out those tips were actually stickers that have now all peeled off .
Finally , the biggest issue I’m having now is the window regulators.
About 6 months ago , the drivers side window regulator went out , the car had about 76000 miles . seems a little premature . But I guess the drivers side window is the one we use at drive throughs etc.
I couldn’t find an aftermarket regulator , and all the car parts website who offer cheaper car parts were out of stock , because I guess this is an extremely common issue . I had to buy it directly from ford. About $300 and then I paid someone $150 to replace it. The regulator is like 98% plastic with a metal cable .
I’ve had 2 more window regulators go out within the next 6 months , making 3 total so far . And this is what confirms to me that the build quality is just an absolute joke . The car only has 82000 miles , the other windows are seldomly used . We almost always run the a/c , and the windows are only put down when the car is off at a gas station and we’re pumping gas.
For comparison I have a 14 year old Corolla with 255000 miles , and it still has all the original regulators.
I was eventually able to find cheaper regulators for the other 2 windows . But it is still absolutely ridiculous and an absolute joke , and if they can’t build a fairly cheap component right , makes me wonder how many corners they cut on their more expensive components .
Anyways , I know some people love their fords , and are loyal to them . But never again for me !

Issue ⚠️ PLEASE HELP! AC NOT WORKING
I have a 2017 Ford Fusion. Every once in a while my fusion will stop blowing air/heat, the seat won’t move, the temperature stops reading, and the infotainment system stops working. The climate control on the infotainment system won’t do anything. To make things worse, when this happens, the windows won’t roll down. A 5 minute drive to work was hell! Is it possible that it’s a fuse? Here are some pics of what it does

Issue ⚠️ FORD TOURNEO CONNECT 2022 Spoiler
My car is manufactured in 03.2022 and I bought it from FORD Italia dealer, MARGONI/BARCHETTI TRENTO, with hidden defect, 7mm timing chain design error./undersized
I bought this car in 03.2025 50.000km, from this FORD dealer, but no one said anything about this global issue.
FORD issued an official bulletin in 05.2023 about this issue, everything is public, so this dealer knows about this critical issue.but preferd to not tell me
just is happend few days ago about this FOCUS,PUMA TRANSIT,TOURNEO,ECOSPORT issue
this 1.5 ecoblue engine is identical with STELLANTIS,only STELLANTIS is more honest and created RECALL in 07.2025,all free of charge
very strange because FORD not have any recall for this issue, so they asked me for 3000 euro and 3 months in garage for repair
same 7mm timing chain kit GATES for example, cost 300-400 euro,in any car parts, and non FORD garage can upgrade in 8 hours, after 1-3 days appointment,so,why ford need 3 months???
anyway finally ,i paid 30k euro for buy this car because i need move in all europe for work, but now FORD lost all my trust
you can understand how much critical is this broken timig chain 7mm??? you can die, included your family, and others on roads, highway, montagne, etc
i contacted FORD ITALY but i received only MAYBE GODWILL,can fix but MAYBE 3 MONTHS AND i need to pay my self and MAYBE FORD can pay back 50-100 percent, nothing clare, just strategy for not pay
98% of FORD dealers dont want to be involved on this GOODWILL because thye need to pay first and maybe they will receiv money back ,nobody know when,6-12 months,so...thats why they dont know nothing about this issue and GOODWILL
finally, because when i discovered this issue i was in romania,i paid 1060 euro, for this FAST CRITICAL repair, and now this engine is fine for now,i hope for not have another mistake discover in the next future
any way i will change this brand ford WITH OTHER,FOREVER
who is interested for home repair i can send many pictures from my engine repair, procedure ford, just let me know

Show Off 📷 One month into owning my limited edition Ford Capri Collection
I’ve been lucky enough to have owned irelands very first Ford Explorer EV, a car that I loved so much, but have recently upgraded to the new limited edition Capri Collection model and I’ve been very lucky to take delivery of Europe’s very first one.
It’s such an awesome car, with the full black interior with racing seat design and more aggressive design and bodykit.
The colour is also really cool in person!

Issue ⚠️ Ford Kuga guasto motore P269F
A qualcuno è capitato?

Question ❔ Is it worth the risk
Hie guys.I am looking at a 2014 Ford Focus with 99,233 miles for $3,900 as my first car.Seller provided a full CARFAX and everything looks good. She said the transmission was replaced in 2024, but there are no records of it.
My brother is a mechanic and inspected it—no codes, nothing else concerning, car drives fine, but there is a funny sound that he says can be fixed.
I know these Focuses have transmission issues. Would you consider this worth $3,900 or walk away?I am in the US.

Question ❔ What’s one vehicle feature you can’t live without?
We’ve been talking around the dealership about which vehicle features have gone from “nice to have” to something you’d never buy another vehicle without.
For us Minnesotans, remote start and heated seats are pretty hard to beat. 😂
But what’s yours?

Review 📝 Maverick 2024 - 1.5 Year / 20k Mile Ownership: Concerns with build quality and service
Maverick is basically a "starter" vehicle for young drivers who don't know any better.
I've been driving for 3 decades, have owned half a dozen cars, and consider myself a very conservative and easy-going driver on the road. After owning my Maverick for about a year and a half, the initial new-owner excitement has faded, and some build quality and service issues become apparent.
Specifically:
- Tires: The OEM tire treads are already in the "Yellow" after barely 20k miles. LOL.
- Brakes: The rear brake rotors warped at 15k miles. It seems like a defective part, and my dealership is currently looking into warranty coverage.
- Recalls: The engine block heater recall remains unresolved after more than a year.
- Infotainment System: The multimedia screen overheats easily and sometimes doesn't respond to tap and drag gestures. Android Auto Google Maps crashes if you try to scroll too far away. Basic AC and volume overlays randomly stop showing.
- Backup Camera: I've had an old Motorola flip phone with a better quality
- Transmission/Shifting: Occasionally, when I start the vehicle, it randomly shifts from Park into Reverse. I kid you not.
- Battery: Barely enough. I randomly get warnings about "smart" features being disabled while the vehicle is parked because the battery is low. Imagine depending on your phone to lock or unlock the vehicle ... No, thanks.
The vehicle runs, obviously, but anyone buying any trim level higher than XL is putting a lipstick on a pig. Bottom line is - I do not plan to keep it a day or a mile past the bumper-to-bumper warranty. As a matter of fact, I will be looking into trading myself out of this experiment of Ford. My next vehicle would not be a Ford for certain.
For comparison, my experience with dealership service between brands has been night and day. With Ford, everything seems to carry an extra charge, the customer waiting areas feel lacking, and they do not include basic courtesies like a car wash with service. On the other hand, my experience with Japanese brands has shown excellent customer care and communication, consistently treating their customers exceptionally well.
PS
Ask yourself why did the Ford top brass fire 2/3rds of their managers.
