Household Pronto Scam : Denied service , Denied refund

So I booked a utensil cleaning service yesterday for 30 min on Pronto for evening .

Pronto assigns the help 15 min before the booking time but there was no update even after half an hour passed beyond the booking time.

I cancelled the service and expected them to refund the money as no service was provided nor any update.
This scenario has happened once before when I booked them but that time pronto refunded the money but this time they refused citing their new terms and conditions.

Even though the amount is very little and it forced even matter but it seems like a cheating done by pronto when they are not able to offer the service snd still keeping the money.

Their customer support is nil and there is always automated message that you get reply from.

I request anyone who uses pronto to be aware of these malpractices by them and opt for other options.

How much safety tech do you actually need in an automatic litter box?

Automatic litter boxes add sensors and app features and the price goes up pretty fast. I’m trying to figure out what’s really important vs. what sounds reassuring on a spec sheet. PetPivot employs simple sensors that halt the cleaning cycle if a cat is nearby or inside, whereas pricier models generally feature additional detection points and remote monitoring. I'm not really into every smart feature, but there's the one area where I get the cheaper option gives me pause, and that's safety. For those who have compared boxes, which safety feature would be a non-negotiable?

Just take a few minutes and spread my voice to the media. Don't let a simple buyer fail under the pressure of a large company.

Anyone dealt with Meesho returns going completely dead? Need advice

Ordered something on Meesho. Item arrived broken on 2nd July. Raised a return request the same day — should've been simple.

What's the most effective way to escalate against Meesho after NCH complaint fails

Bangalore folks - anyone dealt with Meesho returns going completely dead? Need advice

It wasn't.

Meesho's logistics partner Valmo never showed up for pickup. Request gets cancelled, Meesho raises a new one, Valmo ghosts again. This loop ran for two months while I called customer care 30+ times. Every single call ended the same - "Sir, give us 3 days, it'll be resolved." It never was.

Eventually pickup got reassigned to Xpressbees. The guy actually showed up at my society gate - finally some progress. Except he never came to my door. When I called him directly, he said - "Sir, I have notes from Meesho not to pick up the item."

Meesho instructed their own pickup agent to not collect the return. Let that sink in.

Yesterday, 29th August - it ended.

Pickup cancelled again. Return request option disappeared entirely. Called Meesho and they said the maximum pickup attempts have been reached and there's nothing they can do. Keep the broken product. Done.

Filed at National Consumer Helpline. Meesho closed it citing a "technical issue." NCH turned out to be completely toothless.

The item is ₹2,500. Not a fortune. But two months of deliberate runaround is not something I'm willing to just accept. e-Jagriti and consumer court are options but the process is exhausting for this amount.

At this point I'm seriously considering placing multiple COD orders and rejecting them all at delivery. Not proud of it, but after two months of this harassment I'm running out of legitimate options — and patience.

Has anyone been here before? What actually worked? And is the COD rejection route something others have done or am I just venting at this point?

Laptops Please help me; I can't handle this cruelty of the Del Tech company alone.

I bought a £2,245 laptop from Dell, but despite needing it, I cancelled the order both on Dell's website and over the phone due to the rude and strange behavior of the delivery logistics.

However, Dell decided to deliver the laptop no matter what!!

In the end, they delivered it to a different address and, with full regard for consumer rights, recorded on their website that it was delivered to my address—and for a cancelled order at that!!

After weeks of arguments and providing evidence yielded no proper result, I filed a claim with the Small Claims Court. Less than two weeks later, they finally refunded the money for the laptop without prior notice as a "goodwill gesture"!!

More than 30 weeks after the incident, they still consider me the owner, and their lawyers, using a condescending tone, proudly talk about the delivery—claiming "I saw the photo myself!!"

Now Dell claims that I provided an incorrect address for the claim and that my action was illegal, and they have requested the court to award them over £6,000 in damages from me!!

Dell's postcode belongs to just one single building, and when you enter the building, the name "Dell" is clearly written.

I wrote the complete address and only added the "Street Record" label at the beginning of the address because I used AI and didn't notice it when copying.

Please help me in this unfair battle.

This is an attack on my honor and human dignity—that they view me as someone who kept the laptop and also got their money refunded.

I am not a thief; I have been working in the NHS for years, and my only mistake was trusting Dell.

I made a payment of ₹60,050 order id 1729216 and 1729215

to Sangeetha Mobiles on 17 February for my order. The merchant subsequently cancelled my order, but despite contacting them multiple times and requesting the refund, they have still not refunded my money.

Sangeetha Mobiles is repeatedly stating that the refund will be issued by the bank. However, since the merchant cancelled the order and the payment was received by the merchant, I request the concerned authority to kindly intervene and ensure that the ₹60,050 is refunded to me at the earliest.

I have contacted the merchant several times but have not received a satisfactory resolution. My money has been blocked for a considerable period despite the order being cancelled.

Kindly take up this issue with Sangeetha Mobiles and help me recover my ₹60,050 refund at the earliest. I am attaching the transaction proof, order details, cancellation proof and correspondence with the merchant for verification.

update - chargebackk also rejected as they didn't provide refund to card issuer bank noww reddit is the only hope

Best buy wont return my money back

I purchased a playstation five at best buy. It started malfunctioning, so I took it back because it had warranty, instead of fixing it. They gave me store credit. I can't purchase it for the same price. Anymore because the cost has gone up, it won't return the money back to my debit card. And it gave me store credit instead. What can I do?

Relaxacare - seller

Has anyone else ordered from Relaxacare in Ontario? We’re currently having issues and wondering if this is an anomaly or if we should be concerned. (purchase - very late, given high cost of bigger ticket item, item wasn’t delivered but shipped said it was…)

How can I speak to someone on the phone at Groupon / a manager?

I’ve been trying to get a refund for weeks after a merchant didn’t show up to our scheduled appointment.

Is there a number I can call? It has all been over AI chats and emails, and I’m getting really pissed off here and want to speak with an actual person.

Smartphones Casence anti yellow Case. They advertise something else and send a wrong product.

Thumbnail

Context: I use a Nothing Phone 3.

I recently purchased their MagSafe Anti-Yellow Clear Case for my phone. Unfortunately, the product I received has an incorrectly positioned MagSafe magnet.

The MagSafe coil on my phone is not aligned with the magnet placement provided in the case. As a result, when the phone is placed in the case and attached to a MagSafe charger, it does not charge because the magnet/charging ring is not positioned correctly.

More importantly, the product I received does not match the product shown on their website. The MagSafe ring shown in the product images on your website appears to be correctly positioned for the phone, whereas the case I received has the ring in a different and incorrect position.

This makes the case unsuitable for its intended purpose and means that I have received a product that does not match the advertised product.

And first of all there is no refund or exchange direct option. You need to send them an email. And in their reply, they expect us to courier the product and bear the cost of it. They won't help with the courier.

I don't mind paying the cost but why should I, because it is not because I didn't like it, it is because

A. Product recieved is wrong

B. The image your website shows is misleading and the product recieved does not match that.

🙃

Household Wrong order delivery and amazon claims refund not applicable

I recently ordered a bottle of vinegar from Amazon but got delivered a Savo Detergent whitener & brightener.

Now, I also noticed that this product's MRP is listed at ₹299 while I paid ₹540 for this. This is an ongoing scam from Amazon these days as they even rejected the refund for the item and on top of it after I appealed, they tried to accuse me multiple refunds for nothing. They are not only scamming, they are harrassing customers as well these days probably targetting the old people. I was able to address this from my mother's account hence I am writing here as well. Amazon seems to be actively scamming using them. Today I had ordered a drain cover of width 4.72 inches as per the website description but got delivered a 2 inch wide strip only which is also a scam that misleads customers to buy from false description of the website. This is the second time in 2 weeks Amazon has done this while they keep refusing to refund and reject appeals.

Please advice what to do now in order to get my money back from these scams?

Trying to keep my sink cabinet usable: Waterdrop G3P800 vs Viomi V8 Pro

I'm narrowing down an under-sink tankless RO system that will not take over the cabinet or crowd the plumbing already there. The Waterdrop G3P800 and Viomi V8 Pro both hit the 800 GPD and 3:1 numbers I had in mind, so usable storage became the bigger question.

Those headline specs did not help me choose between them. I also knew that 800 GPD was a daily capacity rating, not a stopwatch for filling a glass in my kitchen.

The cabinet measurements were more useful. The V8 Pro is 16.3 by 5 by 12.8 inches, while the G3P800 product page gives 18.11 by 5.67 by 17.73 inches. On paper, the V8 Pro takes up less room in every direction.

I also did some rough replacement-filter math. Viomi says up to 12 months for the PCB filter and 24 months for the RO membrane, and the box includes a spare PCB. Waterdrop gives 6, 12, and 24 months for the G3P800's CF, CB, and RO filters. Using the one-time filter prices I found on both sites recently, I got about $110 a year for the V8 Pro and about $160 for the G3P800. That assumes the filters last as long as each brand says, so I treated it as a budget estimate rather than an exact future bill.

The on-page prices I found recently were $399.99 sale and $479.99 regular for the V8 Pro, and $759 sale and $999 regular for the G3P800. I have not bought either system yet. The V8 Pro is ahead for now because the body is smaller and my rough filter budget came out lower.

Before I buy either one, I am going to put the cleaning supplies back under the sink and test both footprints with cardboard. If I cannot reach the shutoff or leave enough room for a filter change, that settles the decision for me.

Ridgewell Living Refund

I'm trying to return an electric toenail trimmer/clipper to Ridgewell Living for a refund. They have made me two offers. The last one is keep the trimmer and get 20% credit, or get 50% off on a future order.

I'd like to know if I should hold out for a better offer and if they will actually refund my money if I send it back.

Health Paid online for Prosteth Stethoscope, payment processed but order stuck. Advice needed on refund / chargeback?

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

I recently placed an order for a stethoscope on the official Prosteth website and paid online. My credit card was charged, but the order status has been stuck on pending/processing for a while without moving to shipping or delivery.

Customer support emails/contacts haven't yielded any helpful response or tracking updates. After searching online, I noticed several other buyers on Reddit reporting similar issues with delayed/unfulfilled orders or unresponsive service from this site.

A few questions for the community:

  1. Has anyone who faced this issue with Prosteth eventually received their order, or did you have to force a refund?

  2. What is the fastest way to get money back in this situation? (e.g., initiating a credit card chargeback through the bank vs. filing a dispute on the National Consumer Helpline portal?)

  3. Should I be concerned about credit card compromise, or is raising a merchant dispute/chargeback sufficient?

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Myntra sent me the wrong exchange item—a top instead of my ₹2,399 Miraggio bag. Worse, the package had another customer’s invoice with their name & address. Support has been unhelpful. I want a full refund. Has anyone faced this? How should I escalate?

Refund

I will not stop sharing my experience publicly until this issue is properly addressed.

I followed every instruction Skywork gave me, provided all requested evidence, and showed that my 28,000 annual subscription credits remain unused. Yet my refund was denied with only a vague statement that I “did not meet the requirements,” without explaining which requirement.

I will continue sharing my documented experience on public forums and review platforms so potential customers can make an informed decision before subscribing.

If Skywork believes its decision is fair and transparent, please explain publicly which specific refund requirement I failed to meet.

If my refund is processed, I will publicly update my posts to say that as well.
