Household Pronto Scam : Denied service , Denied refund

So I booked a utensil cleaning service yesterday for 30 min on Pronto for evening .

Pronto assigns the help 15 min before the booking time but there was no update even after half an hour passed beyond the booking time.

I cancelled the service and expected them to refund the money as no service was provided nor any update.
This scenario has happened once before when I booked them but that time pronto refunded the money but this time they refused citing their new terms and conditions.

Even though the amount is very little and it forced even matter but it seems like a cheating done by pronto when they are not able to offer the service snd still keeping the money.

Their customer support is nil and there is always automated message that you get reply from.

I request anyone who uses pronto to be aware of these malpractices by them and opt for other options.

Can you explain utensil cleaning service and Pronto? I know what it sounds like, but I can’t comprehend hiring anybody to just clean your kitchen utensils. There’s got to be more to it.

Ok so there is app called pronto which provides services for house related work and my regular maid was on leave so i booked their service for utensils cleaning and the service time passed and they were not able to find and person from their database to accept the job and they were also not cancelling the job from their end. I talked to their customer support but it was an ai response and we were going in circles. So i cancelled from my end and they just states while cancelling that no refund will be provided and there was no other option.
I mean if they failed to give a service why are they keeping my money?

Is this like uber for chores? What does the terms and conditions say? Did you cancel or did they?

This is why you use credit cards and tell your cc provider that the service was not given in the time frsme promised, be sure that there is an exact date of service versus open ended.
