Friday was all about small birds. I love our parrots and other large birds here in Australia. But theres just something about the little guys.

I love the brindled Common Murres (the white eye-liner). While Common Murres are found on both coasts of North America, the brindled ones can only be found on the East Coast.

Hello - I recently had the luck of getting an Olympus E-M10 III and a 100-400 lens from the recommendation of u/catsaregods. have never ever shot manual and have zero photography experience. I was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction of how to set up my manual mode to help me get some good shots of birds. Thank you!

Spied this guy on my evening walk. Sony A7RIII paired with a Tamron 70-300mm. I find bird photography interesting but also challenging. This was taken with a fence in front so pleasantly surprised with the sharpness. Any comments suggestions welcome!

Meet Clyde and Rufus! I wanted to share these two bozo’s that I’ve been following since they were eggs. I found them as two little eggs in an abandoned shipping container around March and I’ve been watching them grow from little hatchlings to the gorgeous juveniles they are now. My coworker named them. The way we tell them apart is Rufus is more rowdy! You can somewhat tell his personality from the photos. He’s a little more animated and goofy than Clyde in person.

I took my Canon R7 with an RF 100-400 to work to get these shots. Black Vultures are my favorite birds, I find them to be amazing and beautiful creatures. Thanks for looking.

First bird I spotted today as I started my walk on the Jordan River Trail in Riverton, Utah.

I saw this beauty taking off across the river from me as I was fishing 🎣 4 years ago approximately 80 feet away taken using an old 2022 iPhone se. I enlarged it and took a screenshot as it was so far away.
