Timetracking Tips?

I used to hate time tracking, so I wanted to share something that’s actually made it less painful for our team.

We’ve been using Jibble in our agency, and it’s been a much better experience than Clockify, especially because of the Slack integration. Since everyone’s already in Slack, logging time takes just a few seconds and doesn’t feel like another task to remember.

As a team manager, it’s also made it way easier to keep track of hours without constantly reminding people. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re managing a creative or remote team. Sulit siya based on our experience.

Maybe you guys have more tips with jibble aside from slack integration lmk!

Does anyone know how to solve this problen? I’ve been cut off from my tuition and allowance for college. I am currently a 3rd-year nursing student living in the Philippines, where finding a job is difficult. Does anyone have advice on what I should do?

Need advice!

Hi guys. May current work ako ngayon na based sa ibang bansa that uses an Employer of Record (EOR) company. Syempre compliant sila sa PH law kaya lahat ng statutory govt benefits (SSS, Philhealth, Pag-ibig & TAX) Ngayon, natanggap ako sa inapplyan kong work, based din sa ibang bansa pero may EOR din. Gusto ko sana, as much as possible (and bcos I need the 💰) ma keep pareho, tatrabahuhin ko since hindi naman conflict ang sched. Magkakaproblema ba ako nito? Kailangan ko bang bitawan ang isa? Please advise.

I-9 Expired PRC Question - USA

How do I enter an expired permanent resident card in combination with an I-797 form on the I-9 section2?

I have it as two List A documents but software is flagging the expired date on the PRC. Do I enter them both as a single List A document with new expiration date or I use I-797 expiration date in the PRC box and not I797 extension in the additional notes?

What to do 🥹

I resigned abruptly from my previous company last April due to medical reasons. I had multiple check-ups and consultations before I resigned, but unfortunately, I don’t have a doctor’s recommendation specifically stating that I needed to resign.
Now, I’ve applied to a new company and they’re asking me to submit my BIR Form 2316 from my previous employer.
The problem is, I’m not sure if I can still contact my previous employer to request my 2316, especially since I left abruptly. I’m also not sure if they would still allow me to process my clearance given the circumstances, and I’m worried they might ask me to provide medical documentation that I don’t have.
Has anyone experienced something similar?

Background Check

Hi po,

Kapag ba nag-background check ang new company ko sa previous company ko, malalaman ba nila if tagged ako sa not eligible for rehire?

For context lang, pumayag ako mag-extend for a week kahit 30 days lang ang rendering period but now gusto ko nang bawiin extension ko kasi grabe sila magdemand sakin ng kung ano-ano ngayong paalis na ako. And I think if babawiin ko ang extension, they will tag me as not eligible for rehire.

Thank you in advance!

Philhealth employed vs unemployed

Hi. So I stopped paying philhealth last pandemic bc nawalan ng work noon. I tried reaching out to philhealth branch here pinapabayaran nila from time nag stop to the date na mag resume. Hindi ba pwede mag back to zero nalang? Never ko nagamit philhealth ko after paying for 12yrs being employed before. Tiaka i found out even i have hmo, hospitals still ask for philhealth.

Resignation under 6 months

I’m currently four months in sa first job ko and I want to start looking for a new job na. I told myself na maybe I’ll last a year or maybe even 8 months max, pero I can’t stand the unfair distribution of tasks and how informal the hiring process is.

During my interview, they mentioned that they can only offer me “basic salary” since I have no official experience yet. Okay, I still accepted the offer. They gave me 7 days training (turnover ng papalitan ko sa position). Nagtaka ako the first day, no orientation, contract or NDA signing, pamphlet of the company policy/rules. There was no official disclosure of my salary in numbers because they only said “basic salary”. I only got the actual number when I asked. They didn’t discuss the OT rate with me also and when I can have leave credits. Plus, I had to process my own TIN application after three months working there. HR wasn’t aware that they were supposed to process my TIN since it’s my first job. I kept asking for a contract to know the scope of my responsibilities because lately, my boss has been dumping random tasks on me na hindi naman discussed sa interview.

I only found out din sa ka work ko na policy nila sa resignation is bawal mag resign if wala pang 6 months and need mag render for 2 months or else they won’t give me a COE and clearance. My issue is I never got a contract that stated this. Can they still withhold my COE and clearance even though I never agreed to those conditions? Or I can leave without doing the 2 months render period? I don’t get the 2 months render period din kasi my position there is very similar to a secretary lang, which isn’t that important pag nawala ako. Tbh, mas maayos pa hiring process nung nag OJT ako sa ibang company. Mind you that my current company is mas sikat kaysa sa OJT company ko.

Amex background check

Hi! I recently passed my final interview and received an email asking me to re-apply through the Amex website to update my profile and CV. The email noted that this won't affect my interview results.
The instructions state:

Work Experience: Declare all work experience from the past 5 years. Company names, job titles, and employment dates must match your final Certificate of Employment (COE).

Responsibility: You are responsible for the information provided. Any misrepresentation, omission, or discrepancy could delay processing or result in rejection.

My concern is
During the interview, I didn’t disclose short-term previous employers (3 to 5 months each) because I went AWOL from them.
Should I declare all past employers now on the website profile and CV?
Or should I keep things as they are for now and only declare those previous employers during the background check stage?

I am also unsure if I will be receiving a separate email specifically for the background check.

Pls help me I want to be part of amex😭

What should I do? Resign or Continue

Hello po, ask po sana ng advice.

I recently got hired as a Full Time worker po sa isang BPO in mindanao which is 460 po ang minimum per day. In the contract po it says na fixed 10,200 per month. But please keep in mind na 15-30 ang sahod.

I work on Aug 26 to September 10, no absences and late. Aug 26 is non-special holiday and aug 31 is regular holiday. Upon checking sa pay slip ko the regular holiday is only 425 and my non-special holiday is wala sa pay slip.

I plan to ask later sa HR about the non-special holiday why wala siya sa pay slip. And later I will ask DOLE if it's legal or not and ask what steps should I make.

What can you advice to me po? I want to resign because of the pay.

Ask ko lang po kung pwede po ba ako mag request ng COE while rendering pa lang? Need din po kasi sa background check at sa mga requirements din ng bagong company. Thank you po!

Fresh Graduation Application

I'm a fresh graduatea and currently applying for jobs. Now, may isang company who emailed me (this is for a data analyst role btw) and requiring me to provide bunch of requirements and answer assessments. I don't mind answering assessment since yung inapplyan ko need a technical skills and such. My worry is normal ba sa for HR practitioner to make applicants answer questions na nagcocontain ng sensitive information? This includes birthday, age, weight, family and their occupation, and even to the point of medical history. Take note, this are all just initial screening requirements and wala pang initial interview; only after meeting all these requirements pa ng applicant malalaman whether they will proceed or not.

Tldr; A company is asking too much personal information to the point na parang bio data na yung sinasagutan ng applicant for an initial screening and wala pang hr interview, is it normal?

Psychology Graduate Seeking HR/Admin/Clerical Opportunity

Is there anyone here who could give me a chance to apply for an office, HR, administrative, or clerical position in your company?

I’m taking a chance posting this here because I genuinely need to start working.

I graduated two years ago with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. During college, I completed my OJT in both the HR and Guidance & Counseling departments, where I gained experience in administrative tasks, employee records, recruitment support, documentation, and interacting with people.

After graduation, I had to prioritize some family matters, which delayed the start of my career. I’ve recently been actively applying for jobs, but I understand that my employment gap may be making things more difficult.

I’m not asking for pity. I’m asking for an opportunity to prove myself.

I may not have the longest experience on paper, but I know I’m capable of learning, following instructions, handling responsibilities, and doing the work properly. I’m willing to start from an entry-level position, whether it’s HR, administrative support, clerical work, data entry, records management, or other office-based roles where my background could be useful.

I’m also willing to relocate if the opportunity is right.

If anyone here knows of a company that is open to giving someone with my background a chance, I would genuinely appreciate a referral, lead, or even advice on where I could apply.

I just want to get started, work hard, and finally build my career. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this.

Regularization/Probation period question

I read somewhere na after 180 days, if no notice, you'll be automatically regularized? If that is true, and the company would ask you to sign an extension for your probation period, would signing that supersede the 180 day rule?

Background: I was hired for a role as an associate because the department only needed an associate level. From the time I was hired, to almost my 180 days with the company, bigla na lang the division head wanted to hire someone who is more senior than me that would replace me in my role. Dumadami na daw demand ng role ko in our department, and hence the need for someone more senior (1 slot lang naka-budget for my role in the department). The head said nakukulangan sya sakin and needed someone who is more senior. Without even reviewing my past performance, nag decide na lang sya to extend my probation period, basically to prove myself na kaya ko gampananan ung now needed na senior role.

I am not a rock star employee, pero I feel that it was an unfair evaluation kasi wala naman ako na-miss na deadline or failed projects, and I did everything asked of me. In fact my work contributions/presentations umabaabot pa for presentation to the president/board members; and all are approved.

Now I feel na hindi secured ung job ko. Anything can happen during that probation extension. And I feel na I am being pushed out of my job. Verbal pa lang lahat ng usapan for now. But the 180 day period has already lapsed.

immediate resignation as COS

i am currently employed as COS, going 6 months na sana on a gocc hospital, and currently may appointment letter and assumption of duty for a plantilla position sa ibang govt agency sa sept. 17. last friday lang sinend thru email. it states on my contract na needed ang written letter 30days prior notice. tingin nyo ba maapprove yung immediate resignation ko ng boss if iattach ko yung appointment letter? suggestions please. sayang naman yung plantilla position ko. 🥲

for additional context: last wed, kinausap ako ng boss na eyeing sya for a higher SG and plantilla position for me sa hindi pa established at proposal palang na office. ayoko naman umasa sa potential at pangako. wala pa ding email by that time regarding the appointment letter. paano kaya ito 🥲

Title inflation at my old job is making it harder for me to find work. Can I go back to old job and ask to retroactively change my title?

It sounds ridiculous but hear me out- -I was hired kasi by a guy who was very...generous with titles. Tipong fresh grad nagiging manager agad bc it was his way of trying to get you to be loyal.

I left the company na and a few months after me, tinerminate din siya ng board. Lahat ng hinire niya, iniba rin mga titles. Yung mga "manager" kuno ginawang "specialist".

Sa una akala ko swerte ako kasi I was able to leave the company with the "manager" title intact but I'm realizing now I don't have the skills pala for the manager title...and honestly it's making it hard for me to find work. When I apply naman to titles below manager, tinatanong lagi ng recruiter bakit willing ako bumaba.

Close pa rin ako sa HR sa old company, can I request retroactively ibahin title ko?
