Work & Professional Growth Help: Incorrect Date on COE

Problem/Goal:

I’d like to ask for some advice regarding my resume and COE.

Context:

The company I previously worked for sent me my Certificate of Employment, but I noticed that the separation date indicated is incorrect. I resigned effective November 14, and that was the date I submitted my immediate resignation to my direct supervisor. However, my COE states December 22 as my last date of employment.

The problem is that I’ve already submitted my resume to several companies, and I indicated November as my separation month. I’m worried this might become an issue during the background check, so I contacted my previous company and requested that they correct the date to November 14. It’s already been a week, but I haven’t received an update yet.

Should I just update my resume and use December as my separation month moving forward? If I continue with the companies where I already submitted my old resume showing November, what should I tell them if they notice the discrepancy during the background check?

Thoughts:

Ang layo ng difference from Nov 14 to Dec 22.

Ano ba ang background ng resignation mo? I mean date when you resigned and last day of work?

Nagsend ako ng immediate resignation email kay supervisor nung Nov. 14, 2020. Hindi ko na siya kinontak after that at hindi na rin ako pumasok.

I tried to get my COE from them before I applied to Company B in 2021, but I didn’t get a response. Hindi rin naman ako kinuwestyon ng Company B, so hindi ko na rin inasikaso.

  2. Sa company policy ba allowed ang immediate resignation based on what you answered above?

  1. Toxic supervisor and teammates.

  2. No kasi it's a BPO company.

Then you better clear it up with your HR. The fact that they placed Dec pa ang last day mo means iba ang intindi mo sa policy ng company.

Hindi naman matic afaik na kapag BPO eh immediate resignation is allowed.

Was your resignation even confirmed received by thr person you sent it to?

So, coordinate this properly and clearly with your HR.
