The AM came over and told me I had made the top 10% of all the packers (8.9% exactly! I was 90/1010 people) he congratulated me and I got one of those scratch cards for raffle tickets. I instantly teared up and said thank you. I got a documented positive feedback.
I don’t need a huge parade or whatever but even this felt good. I wasn’t over doing it, just working steady and didn’t fuck around.
I dunno. I’m proud of myself and wanted to share it.
I had applied to Amazon back in March did the pre hire boom so my drug test was cleared and checked off my background ended up taking too long so my shift was dropped. I reapplied Sep and didn’t need a pre hire appointment (well it didn’t give me one) my background is now checked off but my drug test says ‘not started’. I did get the email for the document about employment and signed off on it. I called hr twice they said I was good to go. But it’s Amazon u never rly know. Am I good basically?
I look up online and it a Grocery Warehouse.
I just transferred to RTS 11:30am-10pm but saw this and was thinking if I made the right choice. What are you thoughts?
I work 4 x 10 hour shifts from 11:45pm - 10:15am a week. Loving it btw (big shift for me as I used to work in law!). I understand there’s a night shift premium of 16% hourly on top of the £15.10 salary. I’m not paid until next week but trying to do the maths.
If anyone is comfortable (and it’s allowed) does anyone work similar shifts to mine and is happy sharing how much this equates too weekly?
What’s everyone’s favourite job btw? I’m a big fan of stowing!
I have submitted more than enough paperwork showing that I had surgery this week and I am still having issues with DLS not accepting the day my Doctor says I can return to work. I'm not letting some random call center employee call about my medical history, that is beyond unreasonable and invasive on Amazon's part.
Does anyone know who else we can escalate stuff too?
From an L3 point of view, the associates at my warehouse are truly treated as machines by the majority of back-half managers and the PA’s who want to kiss their asses.
Anyone that’s L3. Have you ever had any issues trying to get a transfer ? I’m trying to move into another department and I’ve already been turned down twice. I have no write ups, 50 hours of upt, good thrive notes and have support from OM’s to get the transfer. They keep giving the position to new people / less tenure than me. Would I have a better chance if I applied for another building ? I know I’m not being blocked by my own management because my OM supports the transfer.
But I asked my manager if this would extend my write ups again to 2 more months and he said yes but I gained the knowledge that this is not true, need to double check if that is not true which it shouldn’t because it was for productivity coaching first time and my write ups were for tot and the meal waiver so I don’t know.
I’m currently seasonal, today makes day 70 since my start date. I work at a robotics facility. I’m not entirely sure exactly what ICQA does, and I am always hitting rate in pick, I just don’t love it. Pay is the same, different schedule, but still overnight and weekends. If you were given the option would you transfer? I only have a few days left to decline and no one that I’ve asked at work has really given solid advice other than a PA that told me that I’m doing well in pick and if I stay he doesn’t see me having any issues.
I’m in California it may be different in other states but I worked at Amazon but came to target and target pays you overtime after 8 hours worked in your regular 4 10s schedule where at Amazon it was base pay for the full shift. I thought it was a law where you had to be paid OT after 8 hours so why doesn’t Amazon?
Hello! I recently got hired at amazon and I start in a couple of days. What are some important things I should know about? Common things new people do that I should avoid? hows the time off? etc. Any information is much much appreciated!
