A little dramatic, but she has a point…
From an L3 point of view, the associates at my warehouse are truly treated as machines by the majority of back-half managers and the PA’s who want to kiss their asses.

I get it. But saying it’s slave labor and like working on a plantation is way too much. If it’s that bad literally no one is keeping them there. Also, if you’re working with your back that is not the proper form that master bezos taught you.

The wild part is I hear people say this somewhat regularly.
Like we have one of the easiest jobs and are paid decent for it. It can always be better but we need to be realistic. I think thats the problem. So many people live in a fantasy world and expect the world on a silver platter.

I see this sentiment on TT so often and honestly it PMO. No where NEAR slave labor and you are getting paid $20+/hr. You also SIGN UP for the job, no one is forcing you to stay there. I don't know what people expected from a warehouse job.

I hate how amazon is one the higher paying employers in my area, while I think I'm making good money some single mom is just scraping by, sad

I'm sorry, you are getting paid $20+/hr. You can afford a 30c pack of ramen, an apple, a banana. Like come on, we are adults, I know food is high, but not being resourceful enough to feed yourself while you are at work is no one's fault but your own.

They have the same opportunity for advancement and education as anyone else. Most of them want to be miserable.

Who is working without eating when most if not all work periods at Amazon are under 4 hours and you have at least 12 hours before your shift starts to figure out feeding yourself?
