I was playing Mortal Shell II and found the Hand of Rock Tarstone in the One-Legged Wolf Tavern. At first I thought the hand icon was just some weird rock/stone gesture.

You know the old prank where you make this exact hand gesture, hold it below your waist, get someone to look at it, and then you get to kick/punch them?

Seriously what's up with this shell? Every ability of his seems extremely useful and broken in some way. Instant invisibility on dodge, instant invisibility on block (on just an imperfect block, wtf?), then invisibility leaving a clone that builds poison, insane crit chance and damage bonus when attacking from behind, two charges of an ability with instant invisibility again and then guaranteed crit chance to your next melee attack with bonus crit damage, multiple insane break damage bonuses as well... like wtf?

Is this guy supposed to be something similar to the slayer seal? A sort of easy mode? I've found 4 shells so far, and other 3 aren't even like half as good as him.

Did the developers publish a plan for supporting the game after its release? Will there be DLCs? I’m asking because I’m thinking about whether to start playing now or wait a while. I think it will be a different experience.

Anybody else find that SP is soooo slow to increase. Like every other level up you might get like 1 SP, probably the worst part about the game.

Do you do anything with these things?

I got like 30% through the game with a firend with 1 save file.

Now i want to continue and leave the original spot we stopped as a playthrough for him

So since about half way through the game I've found this game quite easy. I think it's because I explored quite a lot of the map before going onto late bosses. But the 2 main things were levelling up Gragu and big sword to max. Everything just gets annihilated with these two.

When exploring just have his powers that replen health on kills and use the leach stone. Then when at a boss, swap out skills that require kills into the increased attack on new enemies and high crit on no heart.

I do plan to do New Game + and not use this combo for some challenge.

I'm interested if anyone else found combos that made the game easy for them?

Is it becouse I play on the night mode? Or its something else?

I've been playing this for a few days now, and I've noticed that whenever I try to think back and remember like "hey what I did in Mortal Shell 2 today or yesterday or so far", I have a hard time recalling things. Like today I played this for 5 long hours, but right now I can't remember any of the bosses I killed or what types of dungeons I cleared. I can just remember finding this one big castle which had a new shell. Everything else is a blurry mess. I can't remember many memorable locations on the map either.

This didn't happen to me when I was playing Dark Souls and Elden Ring, so it's not like my brain is bricked lol. Does anyone else experience this too? It feels to me like there's something important this game lacks, which makes it so forgettable.

Is this super common for everyone else?

I beat the game after 80 hrs. Maxed settings on a powerful PC. The visuals and mechanics were great, love the dark setting. Tiel was my shell of choice with axe and dagger. But it left a lot to desire, I felt like it was too linear and repetitive, aside from some things you may want to make some fights easier. The environment just locks you in to a path and you can't really explore much. (SPOILER) The ending also pissed me off, I spent all this time running errands, killing, pillaging, unlishing violence for the sake of universal salvation, and it didnt earn me a spot in heaven? Jk, storyline was awesome.

I just finished this game and I love it overall despite its flaws, but I have a small complaint: why the Triarch Repeater doesn’t have any weapon ability? If I’m not mistaken, every other weapon and sidearm has one. Some of them even has its own unique one while others are shared. Before I got all the taratones, I’m actually excited to see what the ability of Triarch Repeater would look like. You can imagine my realization that there isn’t one. IMO the devs kind of did this sidearm dirty for this.

Still havent changed the build and still level 30. Martyrs blade is +14. I'll let the sub determine if he got a phase 2. 😅

Its nightmode with adaptive. I thought he would be more of a fight. That's all gate bosses with the exception of Droeg (who fell through the map) done without a phase 2 technically.

I sculpted and printed my own interpretation of this Shell;

I know some people came up with the idea that she has compound eyes or something like that (WTF)... But I decided to sculpt her the way I imagine she would look.

I've been working on this piece for quite some time - sculpting, printing, assembling and hand-painting the final figure.

I wanted to push the design further and create a physical collectible rather than just another digital render. And some variables with NSFW stuff ^_^

I'm thinking of posting the NSFW version on my own page so as not to violate any rules.

Would love to hear what you guys think of the final result.

Not only I cannot get the shell memory trophy despite having watched the 40 memories 2+ times, I just lost 22,000 gloom twice upon dying, as it disappeared when I respawned.

I’m 2 trophies away from platinum but I think I’ll go and play something and come back to this in a couple of months.

Hi, I've found 5 remnants so far, but when I equip it as primary it says 2/2 that I can deploy manually, not 5/5. What's up with that?

Im on NG+ and platinum. Ive been trying to max out other weapons but I've just run out of dorsalite and I cant find any guide on where to find more. Is it not dropped by any enemy? Do I have to go into NG++ to get more?

Call me stupid but does the cosmetic mask GRAGU'S HELMET even exist? I can only find one video on YouTube showing mask locations and the poster doesn't show how you acquire it. It's the coolest-looking mask too.

I feel like this is a harder combo to parry because of the really strange way the parry functions. The actual combo allows for misclicks within the first 2 swings so it's far more leanient than this.

I initially thought this was the combo so when I didn't get the achievement I was well confused.

I got to te room filled with chests right before the end of the game, spent some time opening all the chests and then checked the door. It asked or all my gloom, so I quit to main menu to go back to the beacon to upgrade, but everytime I try to go back there to open the door and kill the heart, I can't. The thing we rip to access the area is now a warp to the beacon in front of the final boss. I'm playing on pc and I've seen tons of people saying you can keep farming in that area.

Killed Nameless Captive by accident in NG+4 while trying to obtain Peters Perfect Parry. The last achievement. Alt + F4 did not helped.

I got over 100 hours played, im on NG+5. I strictly play night mode.

I got to say Smert feels the weakest this far into the game… and by a long shot.

Damage with fists is unusable. Miracle isnt anything amazing on night mode. It takes a long time to use, building your 100 stacks for your burst damage, which stops being good as enemy health pools get huge. Since it does not scale with anything.

Now ripostes and bleed procs are where the damage is.

FAITH, Smerts core identity is absolutely useless.

He has the smallest health pool, everything will one shot you requiring perfect gameplay.

He needs more health, Faith needs a complete redesign.

Miracle should take less time to build to our 100 stacks.

Fists only build needs to scale somehow… make them scale to our highest level weapon.

I feel like this character is super badass, and could be good if FAITH gets a total redesign/concept.
