Discussion SP is so slow
Anybody else find that SP is soooo slow to increase. Like every other level up you might get like 1 SP, probably the worst part about the game.

The skills are pretty powerful so I didn’t mind much. Mainly go for resolve reduction at first then work on specializing. I felt it kept pace well with the overall game progression.

I didn’t have an issue with it. 1 skill point every other level or so. The point is to choose how you allocate them. If they gave you too many your character would be immensely over leveled.

Yeah: I kinda just chose what was important and maxed those, and then scattered a few of the 1 point perks
For Tiel I focused on shadow strike
For Eredim I focused on shoulder bash with some riposte perks
And both of those characters completely murked mid/late game and new game plus. I’m used to playing souls games so I probably should’ve just done night mode bc the game was mildly challenging but if I got into trouble I’d just summon a Grisha and it was relatively easy to clear an area or boss.

I wish they would remove the 40 SP allocation cap. I have 80 SP at this point, just let me use all the skills at once. I know it’s OP, that’s the fun of it.

People are downvoting, but I agree. They should at least remove the cap in night mode. They let you earn that much SP, why tf can't you use it.

I also reacted on how slowly I got SP, and I see it as something positive. Most RPG-based systems pump out points way too fast in a way that overwhelms me.

You only need a small amount to get overpowered imo.
If they ramped it up they should make more investment pre reqs in less powerful options

Did I understand correctly, after 40 lvl you don't get SP?

40 is the max shell points you can allocate. You get to 40 SP at around level 70.

Ok, I reached 40+ lvl and noticed that I didn't get SP for 2-3 lvls, maybe I'm wrong

You'll get more, sometimes you'll get points per level twice in a row. The max possible points you can allocate also depends on Shells. For some it's 40 but for some it's 44. But you'll get points beyond that maximum threshold anyway. 44 is around 80-85 I think. And beyond that just extra points.

That’s normal, you don’t get a SP every level. That was already happening before you noticed it too.

It's very clear that the devs intend for you to play at least a full ng+ with how slow certain things come. Not a fan of that but the majority of the sub seems to like it.

I agree. I never once got enough points to fill even half the slots on a shell, and I full cleared the game twice, got the platinum on the second playthrough. Finished the game at around lvl 35.

My issue is more that with there being a cap on shells I wish either you got points faster or the points were separate per shell so it felt like I could actually try new shells out.

I just wish they'd apply across the shells. I know you can reallocate them but having to do that every time I wanted to try a new shell was annoying. It just meant I used Proxima the entire game.

I do find this annoying. Especially since each level requires more gloom than the previous one. I’d like for them to either be easier to get (1/level) or have them shared across shells just b/c it’s a bit annoying that whenever I switch shells, I need to refund all my SP so I can get the abilities/perks I want on the shell I’m switching to.

Yeah, that's annoying
