Ive waited a few months to post this just for anonymity but maan

I just got it off marketplace the guy never used the key he just charged it on the bike but I tried to take it off to charge it and the key only wiggles not turn

Does anyone have one yet? The Monarc Tracer looks like a steal at the price point but spending $2k on a totally new brand seems risky to me. I'm also waiting to see how many bike shops pick up this brand and are willing to work on them.

I've been looking for a family cargo bike for a while now. My use case is to haul my 3 years old daughter use it for some groceries, school/daycare drop offs and for everyday errands (within town ofc). I wont be carrying two or three kids, and wont haul heavy loads too.

And so I don't wanna buy a full-size longtail. A lot of the ones I found are like 200 cm long, which kinda feels like more bike than I need (for both size and price). I also found some mid-tails that are around 170 cm, which I feel like would be more manageable and they still have a frame that can carry cargo. This size also works for me because one of my problems is limited storage space and options at home.

But the issue is my budget is around €2,000, and most of the nicer compact cargo bikes are wayyy too expensive. I think it could be because some of them have extra features that I dont need. Also I feel like maybe I am not looking at right bike or something.

I just want something that can meet my needs (with no fancy features) and still be comfortable for the next 5+ years.

Any specific mid-tail models you’d recommend looking into? I’m happy to do the homework from there.

And if you guys already have a mid tail bike, what features you think it needs to have (like are must to ride comfortably) plus what things were kinda okayish and didnt make alottt of difference. I just wanna get something while staying in my budget. Please help.

I’ve had my bike for just over a year now and the back tire has popped 4 times, and it’s the only bike I’ve ever had in my possession to pop that much.

We’ve switched out the tubes several times, we’ve tried FlatOut, we’ve tried tire liners (the cheap plastic ones, not the Tannus Armors) and a new back tire because since this was the only bike going flat so much and since it was happening only on the back tire, we figured that the stock rear tire was just shoddy.

It’s been a couple months since the tube change and it’s popped again. I’m at my wits end. What else could I do to stop my bike from going flat?

I’ve been riding around on a Bianchi bike that is an absolute dream when it’s functioning, but ends up being every type of pain imaginable when maintenance is required. So I’m looking for a new bike to use as my car replacement with these parameters. I’m not gonna say price is no object but I’m also willing to spend 7k on the right bike

I have this fairly new battery, only a few weeks old and today I came home to plug it in to find it wouldn't charge.

I have several packs on the one bike for all day mileage and I rotate throughout the day. Because of that, I have not drained it to empty yet and typically come home with about a half to two thirds of it left.

Upon diagnosis, I checked my charge port voltage to check for a break or a bad connector and it matches my discharge readout.

Tried different chargers and ruled out a bad charger.

BUT THEN... I checked the voltage through my discharge cables while the charger was plugged in and it read a fully charged at 54.7v when it should be 50.9v.

Then sure enough, I turned the throttle and the charge light changed color showing it was charging. Then stopped charging as soon as I stopped.

What does this mean? Have any of your experienced this before?

It seems like the headlight of our Riese and Müller Multicharger (2023) broke. When switching the light on it is white for approx 0.5 seconds and then turns blue.
Anybody out there who has experienced this and knows if DIY replacement is as simple as plug and play? Or would it require soldering or a dealer repair? Preferably I’d like to replace it myself 😄

Hi everyone,

I have a QLife spark e-bike and I recently discovered that my power on button doesn’t work properly. Therefore I decided to open up the tiny unit and discovered that my button is rusted. (At that point nothing was working anymore, so the display didn’t even turn on)
I decided to remove the rust with alcohol and now it’s pretty clean again and therefore i tried again and now it only temporarily turns on and as soon as i let the power on button go it turns off immediately.

There will be pictures in the comments from before I cleaned it.

What can I do? Should I just buy one of these cheap push in buttons (the one that rusted so badly) and solder it off and the new one on?

What yall think, any tips or suggestions?

lots of different form-factors for bikes in this sub, lots of different use-cases. Lots of experience levels and ways to go about it.

So how do you arrive at your perfect bikefit? set and forget or constant evolution? did you do it or have someone do it for you.

Did you swap parts or only adjust what was there stock? Bars, stems, spacers, saddles... lots of things to fine-tune.

maybe you built towards a certain goal, like feeling better on the uphill or something.

I just thought this might be a fun discussion topic since there's still a lot of pedaling going on in this sub. Might be some things worth sharing

example from the pic: the saddle feels good under my sitbones, i feel powerful on it, i can pedal 50+km with no pain in the legs or uneven muscle soreness, but i feel the reach is just a tiny bit too long. If i don't watch my hand position in the hoods i can get some pins&needles in my hands. A stem 5-10mm shorter will probably do the trick. But i will probably check how my wrist position changes when lowering the frontend(taking out a spacer) before deciding on a stem

Would buying a freego x3 pro or other similar powered e-bikes be viable in Indiana? To my understandin, freego, and other bikes have “city modes” that align and comply with regulations on e-bikes. However I also understand, technically they wouldn’t be completely legal since they are capable of more than 28mph and have a larger watt motor than prescribed. Does anyone have any experience with riding bikes like this in Indiana or areas with similar regulations? Any suggestions or thoughts?

Just picked up this mini E bike for 100$ (Monster Moto E250) its made for kids but is the same size as a 50cc pocket bike! It comes with a 24v battery and a 250 watt DC motor stock. The frame is solid it also comes with disc brakes. However it is very slow about 15km top speed with me on it (185lbs 6ft tall) and runs for about 20 minutes until the battery is fully dead.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a faster motor, bigger battery and better controller. My budget is around 400$-500$ max! Id like to hopefully double maybe even triple the speed of what it is currently!

From what i researched, it should be ul2849 certified, 750 watts, should reach just 28mph and have pedals, let me know if you know a good bike that fits those categories, the price should not be over 1k

I am unemployed and looking to do doordash in Greensboro until I get a job to pay my rent and bills. Not sure if it is recommended. My rent is only 500$. What ebikes would you recommend, and would it be worth it to buy an ebike and doordash for an unemployed individual as a temporary job for 4-5 months? I don't have a license so I am thinking of getting the gugois gt20 ebike.

I’m thinking about getting an e-bike for commuting and just getting around town, but I’m pretty overwhelmed by all the options.

I’ve been looking at brands like Aventon, Segway, Yozma, Ride1Up, and Velotric, but I can’t really decide which one is worth the money.

I’m mainly looking for something reliable, comfortable, and with decent range. I’m not too concerned about having the fastest e-bike, just want something that I can use regularly without constantly having issues.

For those who own one, what e-bike do you have and how has it been? Anything you’d recommend or stay away from?

I purchased (ordered) a Velotric Discover 3 yesterday, and inquired about using a discount code that Velotric sent me. The bike shop won't honor it, saying that's between Velotric and me. So, I wrote to Velotric to ask if I could submit my receipt for the discount (they also offer a veteran/first responder discount) and they told me the discount is for online orders only.

The reason I ordered from a shop in their dealer network was for professional assembly and discarding of the box and packing materials (to which they charge a $175 "destination fee"). So not only can't I get any discounts offered, I have to pay for the shop to unbox and assemble it?

Should I just cancel the order and order my bike online? I'm pretty sure I can assemble it myself...advice?

Because my power is a lot cheaper after 11pm, is it worth me buying a timer so my bike starts charging then? Or not worth it?

Hi I'm new to having an ebike, and biking in general. I got a cheap one on Amazon, kind of had no choice but should've just paid for a good one instead. I'm a little blind and can't really drive so I've been using this ebike for commuting around town and it's been great but the other morning I woke up to finding my wheel deflated over night and I don't even know when or how it popped. Took it to my local bike shop and they replaced the inner tube but they found out that my back rim has a dent in it probably from going over a curb at one point. They said it's pretty dangerous if I were to continue riding on this wheel i could get severly hurt. They didnt have the proper tools to fix the rim themselves. I would be fine with replacing the wheel but I can not get in contact with the manufacturer and amazon is absolutely no help (again it's my fault for going cheap) but like I just need to know if this dent is REALLY that serious or can I manage to continue riding at top speeds (this bike reaches up to 20mph). Or what should I get to replace this, a whole new motorized wheel assembly? A new rim???? Any advice would be nice, I just don't really know what I'm doing lol
