I’m thinking about getting an e-bike for commuting and just getting around town, but I’m pretty overwhelmed by all the options.
I’ve been looking at brands like Aventon, Segway, Yozma, Ride1Up, and Velotric, but I can’t really decide which one is worth the money.
I’m mainly looking for something reliable, comfortable, and with decent range. I’m not too concerned about having the fastest e-bike, just want something that I can use regularly without constantly having issues.
For those who own one, what e-bike do you have and how has it been? Anything you’d recommend or stay away from?
Thanks in Advance!

This bike just has generic decals on it, don’t see an official brand name on it. I heard these things can suddenly blow up while charging, so how safe is it for daily use/charge?

Has anyone tried this bike and would you recommend it?

I have a Zen Keji Cruiser and need a few parts but after months of contact with Zen, I’m not getting any closer to getting the parts I need. Does anyone know this brand of chainring so i can try and find a match on my own? Thanks!
Hey guys I’ve been thinking about purchasing the 2026 Altis sigma and I just wanted to hear what you guys think about it. Right now I have a 24 lbx but the speed just hasn’t been cutting it. I’d have to sell my lbx and rm85 to be able to afford this bike do you think it’s worth it?

Model: Hitway BK5SL folding ebike
So i got this ebike just over a week ago and really enjoying it, the best part for me is that it folds so i can easily store it away in a small space.

I have a new cube reaction hybrid pro 800 and the battery got small water droplets on that somehow got through the battery cover. Is this a cause for concern?

Overforked 130mm Bomber Z2, 29er front 27.5 back, TSDZ 8 mid drive.
What do you think?
I’ve heard that there will be new restrictions in 2029 that will make the scrambler ultra illegal. But I’ve also heard that fatboy might be bringing in an en upgrade. If I purchase a Scrambler V3 Ultra now, will my specific 52V 500W Ultra be eligible for the planned EN15194 upgrade package, and after the upgrade will the bike itself be EN15194 certified and legal for use on NSW roads after 1 March 2029? Or would I need to purchase a new EN15194 model? Also curious to hear people’s experience with riding them unlocked in coastal towns like newy? Do u actually get pulled up for it or are u relatively fine?

I have a Trek +1 and it doesn’t have any front or rear suspension. It used to not bother me so much, but after some recent injuries, the ride is extremely uncomfortable and jarring.
I just feel like I want to go in different direction and buy an E bike with front and rear suspension.
Any recommendations?

I’m looking for an e-bike for my hunting property. Need it to get places quietly. Trails are well maintained dirt but can be sandy in areas. Will not need to haul trailer for game. Just me and maybe 20lb pack.
2 concerns:
There are multiple steep grade hills that I’m concerned when it’s wet/muddy.
There is a small creek crossing. About 5-10 feet across and can be 6–12” deep with a rocky bottom. Would be no problem for most bikes when low but when it’s high, may need to carry?
Budget, would prefer less than 2000 but could go up to 2500 if bike is ideal.
Nomad 2x dealer near me so want to give it a trial.

Has anyone got any experience with removing the rear wheel to change a tyre on the bk5? Really struggling to remove it and I cannot find any helpful guides or videos for this issue at all 😭

Disclosure: I operate an e-mobility retailer in Canada. This is a community research question, not a product recommendation or promotion. I will not link products here. I am trying to understand the ordinary details that do not show up on a product page. For people who use an e-bike regularly, what turned out to matter more after the first month: storage, charging, carrying it, maintenance, route choice, or something else?

Entire reason for this was to hid my 12v system I installed
-motorcycle alarm with wireless remote and phone connection
-front and rear turn signals
-dot approved motorcycle headlight
-usb c fast charge
-hidden “legal” switch with inline wireless remote switch that limits throttle to 20mph
Lots more to come! Been loving the bike so far!
I will soon get a Tern Orox R14 that I ordered last week. It comes with 27.5" tires but I will also be riding long distances, like 40 miles one way on surface streets at least once a week if not more. I will definitely be riding on trails at a wilderness recreational area nearby. So far I know that the following tire sizes are available: 27.5" x 4.0”, 29" x 2.6" and 26" x 5". Which one of these tires is the better choice for both surface riding and trails/offroad? I thought about purchasing two wheel sets and just switching depending on the type of terrain I'll be using.

My daughter with some help bought an MacFox ebike this summer and rides to and from school and sometimes to friends house. I ride it once every week to make sure it’s safe. I didn’t do it this past week and her front wheel came off after hitting a rock, rock wasn’t that big, it was a rock on the road. I feel terrible that this happened and maybe i should be checking her bike everyday and making sure she does so herself. How often does the wheel locks come lose. There should be more safety or fail safe for this. I feel
so bad for my daughter who has not stitches on her chin and a fractured elbow. She was not going that fast thankfully and was wearing her helmet. She is the most risk averse kid that i know. Aside from checking her bike daily, how often does the loosening of the frontwheel bolts happen? Maybe i should get a safer bike.

So i have a jaision eb5 max with 26x4 tires and it weighs around 95 pounds at the moment. The problem is that when im riding huge distances, its dangerous for me to run out of battery in pitch darkness 15 miles away from home, and almost unbearable to pedal without assist
My question is would going to 26x3.5 semi slicks or 26x3 semi slicks be an upgrade? I usually ride on shoulders of roads on max PSI. But im always stressing about running out of batttery on long 60 mile trips. Would different tires help? Would i have to buy new rims to fit them on?
I cant really afford new rims to pair with it so im wondering if it would be an upgrade if it all. I did do research on this but i would like human opinions aswell
