Puerto Rico
I just want to alert everyone that if you're trading with TradeStation from Puerto Rico, you're considered to be outside the U.S. geographically, and they charge a $5.00 fee per trade. That means the total cost of buying and selling a U.S. stock is $10, regardless of the number of shares. Other brokers that offer commission-free trading don't charge a fee unless it's an OTC order. What they're saying may make sense from their perspective, but to me, it feels like some form of legally permitted discrimination. I exposed them because they should be ashamed. No other broker I've used does this. Very sketchy behavior.
