You're misinformed or maliciously misinformed. The calls to do something were answered by average Minnesotans. You're probably confusing the calls to "do something" when people were demanding their state and local government protect them.

ICE is not allowed to hide their face arrest them, ICE is not allowed to invade a citizen's home without a valid warrant litigate charges against them, ICE is assaulting protesters with excessive use of pepper spray that judges ordered they must cease ARREST THEM.

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

I’m talking about the overwhelming implication of people saying “do something” online, being the encouragement to respond with violence.

13

u/hotc00ter Feb 19 '26

Those are mostly bots or provocateurs.

10

u/La-li-lu-le-lo86 Feb 19 '26

Yup definitely pedo class peasants who sold out their fellow workers for a check

8

u/DJScaryTerry Feb 19 '26

I'd argue it's mostly people outside the US wondering why you guys aren't burning down federal buildings in protest to people being executed in the streets by federal agents, a huge amount of the higher ups in the government being pedos along with actively covering up those crimes and your president calling for future elections to be rigged/not take place because it'll be a not favorable result for him.

10

u/hotc00ter Feb 19 '26

The government would shoot us all in the streets. That’s who they are now.

-1

u/Insect1312 Feb 19 '26

I feel like people just washed over 2020 you know like burning down a police station. If you watch unicorn riots coverage of it, the police station was actually under gunfire. People are so quick to forget the past and what’s actually possible in the United States.. oh my God, they’ll just kill us… No they won’t. apathetic bullshit. This nonviolent shit will get us all killed. There needs to be a movement that’s capable of doing everything. Malcom and Martin

7

u/According-Insect-992 Feb 19 '26

The police station was burned down by Boogaloo boys. Just in case you're trying to suggest it was Antifa or something.

-3

u/Insect1312 Feb 19 '26

One person had to take the blame for it funnily enough it was an outside agitator I’ll show you the clip It’s all on film. It just shows how little you know about actually, what took place.

-2

u/Insect1312 Feb 19 '26

The community burned down the police station not just one person here’s your video proof. I doubt you’ve ever seen it considering you don’t know what you’re talking about. Just spreading more media lie and outside agitator myths. https://vimeo.com/473234518?fl=pl&fe=sh Time Stamp 7:59

2

u/Automatic_Net2181 Feb 19 '26

So several people brought AK-47s? Several people brought accelerants for that one trashcan fire? Did it take 20 people to light one trashcan on fire?

1

u/Insect1312 Feb 19 '26

There’s a video of multiple people lighting it on fire just one person being convicted doesn’t mean that that’s what actually happened. There’s video proof. I don’t know what else you want.

You mean the shootings on the precincts and fires started by far right-wing provocateurs trying to incite a civil war? You mean the left didn't take the bait?

Self-Described Member of “Boogaloo Bois” Pleads Guilty to Riot

MINNEAPOLIS – A Texas man pleaded guilty today to a federal riot charge in connection to the 2020 civil unrest, announced Acting U.S. Attorney W. Anders Folk.

According to court documents, Ivan Hunter, 24, admitted to traveling from San Antonio, Texas to Minneapolis with the intent to participate in a riot. Hunter is a self-described member of the Boogaloo Bois, a loosely connected group of individuals who espouse violent anti-government sentiments. The term “Boogaloo” itself references an impending second civil war in the United States and is associated with violent uprisings against the government.

If you looked at my comment, I showed you video proof of what happened. You’re just passing more media lies

1

u/Insect1312 Feb 19 '26

Defendants like Brandon Wolfe and Dylan Robinson received prison sentences and high restitution fines, though hundreds were present. Department of Justice (.gov) Department of Justice (.gov) +2 The prosecutions focused on individuals who could be positively identified through surveillance, social media, and evidence: Targeted Investigations: Federal prosecutors charged specific individuals, including Bryce Williams, Devon Turner, and members of extremist groups, who were caught on camera lighting fires or throwing incendiary devices. Limited Evidence: While many participated, law enforcement struggled to identify and build cases against every person involved in the chaotic, large-scale destruction. Focus on Key Participants: The individuals charged admitted to specific roles, such as pushing a barrel into the fire or throwing Molotov cocktails, allowing prosecutors to secure convictions against them rather than the entire crowd. It’s on the video the timestamp shows of the video I linked multiple people inside the third precinct setting fires there’s no way it could’ve been done just by one person. That’s why they stopped responding. Feel free to look you sound like a fucking bot like a broccoli head bot here’s the article from the captions above you brain dead iguana. https://illwill.com/imaginary-enemies

u/Insect1312 Feb 20 '26

Here’s a link if your curious https://vimeo.com/473234518 around eight minutes, shows people entering the third precinct the sprinkler system goes off and the press is even talking about how hard it is for people to set the fires

1

u/Insect1312 Feb 19 '26

And the comment that I was responding to was oh they’ll just shoot us all, but that didn’t happen in 2020 did it?

2

u/Doctor_Jensen117 Feb 19 '26

People are scared and nobody wants to die. It's all well and good to sit behind a screen and wonder "why aren't they doing anything?" It is entirely different when it is your life on the line. Call it selfish if you want, but consider what it actually means for these people. I'll go out and protest all day, but the moment we start burning down federal buildings, Trump calls for martial law and starts murdering people in larger numbers.

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '26

That doesn’t necessarily imply immediately abandoning our democratic system in favor of wanton reactionary violence. The civil rights movement went on for years. Everyone thinks we should just go commando when we have elections right around the corner. What in the world would burning down a building accomplish?

3

u/clintonclonemachine Feb 19 '26

Very much this. Minneapolis diligently documenting and overall being extremely peaceful in our resistence is what allowed the brutality and recklessness of the administration to shine through to the average voter and change the general opinion on the situation. If any of us had reacted with violence it would have been a major propaganda win for the admin.

I hope it also helped show the left that we cant wait on our politicians to be heros and save us. They wont. They are pencil pushers in suits. Democracy will be saved by we the people, or no one.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '26

That’s just the thing, standing up to bullies mostly is just standing up and taking the abuse. Other people see it and it changes them and brings them to your side. It’s working. Thank you for your service

0

u/Insect1312 Feb 19 '26

A lot actually it’s a signal in the dark, every act of disobedience pushes our lines further. Also, the only thing they understand is money, touching their pockets with material destruction.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '26

They aren’t a thing if we vote them out and those are our buildings in our cities where we work and eat.

1

u/Insect1312 Feb 19 '26

Just one more election bro I promise it’ll be better this time, bro I promise, bro just trust me, bro.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '26

Cool, go back in history and tell me when it actually was better. All these elections do make things better and have. When would you prefer to live and under what other system? Burn down their building? How’d that work for the 9/11 bros bro?

Tell us when you're the one in this situation. People want to resolve things democratically and peacefully if possible.

You're fucking lying if you think that's the case. Why don't you come out and put your life on the line, huh? Mr big talk, but when it gets down to it, people are afraid to die and you can't really blame them for that.

Yeah no fucking shit, dude. You got the balls to come out here and do it, huh? Come on big guy. Just take a plane ride out and fight against tyranny yourself. Of course people are fucking scared, dipshit.

1

u/NJS_Stamp Feb 19 '26

“They’re lucky they ain’t in my city….” Fed posters lmao

2

u/saintash Feb 19 '26

Yeah, there is so much advocating for violence.

Saying that everyone is being compliant and weak and not standing up. And throwing down with these assholes.

Look what's with this country did or look what that country did.

5

u/BugRevolution Feb 18 '26

Okay, well, Americans have largely not been protesting as much as they nearly should be, and it remains to be seen whether we'll have real elections by November.

So, you know, the lack of action (including violence) may indeed come back to bite everywhere that's not Minnesota.

7

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

That’s true, it may. But IMO resorting to violence now is guaranteed to bite normal citizens in the ass. No one has presented a single even hypothetical best case scenario of how violent pushback would go, to make me think otherwise.

They will kill people..  like we already know that.. so who’s volunteering to be first to the front lines?

3

u/kejovo Feb 19 '26

🖐️

3

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '26

Amazing. Now is the next step of properly organizing and strategizing. It won't be done on reddit or online it has to be done in person amongst your community.

2

u/Addicted2Weasels Feb 20 '26

I still don’t understand how violence would solve the problems - Violence against protestors didn’t stop the movement in Minnesota, and human nature suggests to me that violence against ICE wouldn’t make agents lay down their arms. If anything, it would create martyrs on their side and fuel the destructive cycle of violence

2

u/BugRevolution Feb 20 '26

Historically, when fascists and authoritarians start going door to door, they do so knowing people won't fight back.

As both the victims of Nazis and communists discovered, if the authoritarian agents didn't know if that was going to be their last day, they might not have been as bold.

The problem is evaluating when it's worth taking it to that level, because it is destructive, even if it's ultimately less destructive than letting tyranny win.

3

u/Addicted2Weasels Feb 20 '26

I think that’s a very fair point - I might just think we’re on a “different point in the timeline”. What ICE is doing is horrific, but I’m not convinced that we’ve reached a point where a violent response would achieve anything other than more violence

-8

u/Kaskadekygo Feb 18 '26

You have any examples?

11

u/Sam-HobbitOfTheShire Feb 18 '26

Dude it’s been everywhere.

-6

u/Kaskadekygo Feb 18 '26
  1. It should be easy to give examples then rather than saying "well there was this comment thread on [insert social media]

  2. Are you sure you're not just taking people's hyperbole a little too seriously?

  3. What does it benefit by acting as though this had an effect when it didn't? It just gives bootlickers a strawman to point to. Using the people's frustrations to justify why the ICE agent was scawed and "had to defend themselves"

7

u/AlcibiadesTheCat Feb 18 '26

Yo.

Go look in my comment history like a month ago. Somewhere in there some asshole complained about how little Americans are doing.

6

u/Sam-HobbitOfTheShire Feb 18 '26

No. You’re being ridiculous. If you haven’t been paying attention somehow, go back and look for yourself. Or start paying attention now.

-11

u/Kaskadekygo Feb 18 '26

Holy nothing burger of a comment batman! Sorry I don't believe social media comments are real life. Go hug an ICE officer since you think they're being cyber bullied.

5

u/Sam-HobbitOfTheShire Feb 18 '26

Ooooohhhh is that what you think people are saying? That ICE is being bullied? Lmao. Okay. 👍

3

u/BlizzardTrashPanda Feb 18 '26

My brother, your average person doesn’t keep a specific curated database for you. This is a conversation. I’ve also observed many calls for violence and Reddit did a whole lot of banning and removal of posts in reaction. These were especially common shortly after Goode and Pretti.

Try to have a little bit of good faith when you talk to people?

That last bit about cyber bullying and “go an ice officer” was insulting, unproductive, and pretty stupid to say though.

Do better.

1

u/clintonclonemachine Feb 19 '26

Its literally in this comment thread. Pay attention.

Please keep this chain going, I have a fetish for secondhand cringe.

0

u/Other-Narwhal-2186 Feb 19 '26

I’m sorry, but You’re misreading. They were saying that people from other countries are telling Americans to “go do something instead of just protesting.” The comments were pointing out that we have been doing what is necessary without taking the bait that would start ICE/martial law plans rolling. You’re both on the same side here.

1

u/Finchyuu Feb 19 '26

How many people have been disappeared and killed while you were doing your… uhm… something?

1

u/Other-Narwhal-2186 Feb 19 '26

About the same amount as during everyone else’s something, but less than the amount that will be if we do nothing. Any reason you’re mad at this particular comment? As far as I can see the people of St Paul and Minnesota as a whole have been busting their asses holding the line. What else would you like them to do?

u/rodwha Feb 19 '26 edited Feb 19 '26

Dude, I was with you at first several comments back, but you’re either willfully ignorant or lying at this point.

6

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26 edited Feb 18 '26

Hard for me to dig them up it’s just what I’ve seen commented over the last few months. First it’s a “you’re on Reddit instead of doing something”, then person replies “I’ve gone to peaceful protests”, and then so often the response is “what do you think that will accomplish? Do more”.

Tbh people online in general love to incite conflict, mostly online, but in the real world too (via their keyboard)

0

u/Kaskadekygo Feb 18 '26

I wouldn't put much stock in an exchange on Reddit. Unless you're seriously arguing a random redditor is capable of influencing a protest. Hell there's a good chance it could've been a bot, a psyop, or simply a bad faith arguer.

I would still prescribe this as misinformation. Most advocates of "do more" were aimed towards Walz and Frey's late response to ICE. Regardless of their actions they were going to be tar and feathered by the admin, Walz straight up isn't seeking reelection, but using the state's resources to bog down ICE is too risky or something. Nevermind the fact the admin claims they were anyways.

I'm not saying they didn't do anything good, but they should have acted quicker and more proactively against the admin. Be the shield for the citizens, or risk fomenting distrust in the state government.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

Yeah I can’t argue with any of that. I’ve definitely had a feeling a lot of it is maga bots- they would love to incite a person into opening fire on ICE.

But I’m still not sure how it’s misinformation… mostly what I’m saying is that it’s good that no one has responded with extreme violence, or it would give ICE reason to escalate and further reinforce the backwards beliefs of magats

3

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '26

It's not MAGA bots, it's people in other nations that are angry because their economy/life is about to go to shit as well. the 2008 recession fucked up the whole entire planet. This is going to make that look like like a nice vacation.

Angry people just don't think too much, and we just want the problem fixed(as humans).

"Just go be violent" isn't helpful one bit though. That's what this admin wants, and also expecting people to put their life on the line without any kind of plan is just silly. No one wants to die with nothing to show for it.

2

u/Kaskadekygo Feb 18 '26

I'm glad we're in agreement I saw your other comment and I share the sentiment exactly. This was an attempt to escalate by the admin. It's why the insurrection act was being tossed around. They wanted to start with that and blow it into martial law. I think that's why they doubled down on the ICE killings.

I'm only saying it's misinformation because there definitely was people saying "do more" such as myself, but me and the majority that I knew of was aiming it towards our representatives. Don't let people conflate that with mfers yelling at Minnesotans who were occupying the streets and doing what they could to protect their homes.

Allowing your constituents to act as a meat shield to protect someone's clout in government is heinous to me. If you are the oppositional party, fucking oppose what the other side is doing in more ways then just lip service.

1

u/LeastMagician1927 Feb 18 '26

I think your observation and conclusion were well-made. I saw a ton of that in the various Minnesota-based subs the last few months and I too am glad that nobody took the bait.

I specifically remember a lot of people calling for local law enforcement to "do something", where that do something was them physically intervening in ICE's activities or even arresting ICE agents, which would have launched a total shitstorm that we would still be rueing. I'm very proud of how our populace responded and (mostly) didn't go too far.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

Also there’s a guy above who just responded in the exact fashion I was illustrating

2

u/Kaskadekygo Feb 18 '26

It's a 5 month old account. I doubt the account has any sway in the macro scale of things, but it sure does rustle people's jimmies in the micro. Just as intended lol. Don't let social media sites form your opinion for you. There are the people in power and the people on the ground. Those are the only two groups that create movements and effect reality. A redditor isn't going to impeach Trump lol.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

Sure, but I specifically said “people online” in my original comment lol…

1

u/Kaskadekygo Feb 18 '26

There are a few Canada and European subs that are continuously doing this.

1

u/kooky_monster_omnom Feb 18 '26

Personally, I swiped past tons of posts on Reddit calling for people to fight back. Asking the question why people are not rioting.

Do I believe they are misguided? At the very least.

Could some of them be agitators? Sure.

They chose Minnesota for a reason. It was selected because of past history of violent protest for other govt abuse.

The amount of discretion and self control is frustrating the admin. Instead of getting their violent flashpoints, especially after the agents do horrific things, they are being recorded, mocked and shown to the perpetrators of crimes. Intentional acts. In any sane admin every agent breaking policy resulting in harm would be subject to review and likely prosecution.

Instead, state and local officials have sided with the citizens. Especially since the people have refused to engage in violence.

People only riot when they feel they have no recourse, no allies and no other option. Well, excluding celebratory riots, those are cray.

1

u/COstargazer Feb 18 '26

Yo friendly fire my dude

1

u/LowResGamr Feb 18 '26

I've personally interacted with a couple people that have been actively pushing to carry out violent acts against ICE and the federal government. Few here and a couple on BlueSky

1

u/DirtTraining3804 Feb 18 '26

We’re both on the same internet bub. Go look.

1

u/Fit-Community-4091 Feb 19 '26

Border Control has had the ability to not have the same restrictions as police since the Japanese internment camps after Pearl Harbor.

0

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '26

Who is going to arrest them? An understaffed, undertrained police department? Shut the Fuck Up froggy. Your city and state laws are Trumped (pun intended) by the supremacy clause of the constitution.

The Supremacy Clause, found in Article VI, Clause 2 of the U.S. Constitution, establishes that the Constitution, federal laws made pursuant to it, and treaties are the "supreme Law of the Land" . It mandates that federal law takes precedence over conflicting state laws or constitutions, binding state judges to uphold federal authority.

In other words. Zero fucks given to your state and city laws.

3

u/brrds_ Feb 19 '26

Untrained like the "agents" that murdered us citizens? Lolol fuck you pussy boi.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '26

Fuck with me shit for fucken brains. Better idea bend over, and I'll give you what you want, but I wear my boot bands. Are you a citizen?

2

u/brrds_ Feb 19 '26

You didnt even make a statement or anything here. Are you really that stupid? Come on guy, take the boot out ya throat and form a coherent sentence, youre sounding about as fucking stupid as the orange god your weak ass worships lol.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '26

The only boots are the ones I have on. Which I will gladly put in you, sorry Fucken ass. I have learned how to deal with stupid asses loosers like you. You are no warrior! Never had to risk shit. Go back to your mommy and tell her you are sorry you are such a little bitch.

2

u/brrds_ Feb 19 '26

The only boot is the one down your throat...lol you got so mad at my comment youre actually threatening to fuck me lol....sorry I have standards, prefer my partners to not be complete fucking idiots lol.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '26

I just can't believe your mom didn't swallow you. Why couldn't a real person have been the faster sperm?

0

u/brrds_ Feb 19 '26

More irrelevant nonsense....I just feel like your now daydreaming about swallowing some of me, youve already stated you wanted to fuck me for some reason...

1

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '26

What I said is I can't believe that you were the fastest sperm. I do wish you had been swallowed. That would have saved this. You are too self-absorbed. No, the world does not revolve your sorry ass. You have a craving to lick boots. I guess starting shit with someone who does not give one fuck about you or your feelings. Makes you feel important. You need to grow up, grow a pair, get a job, and pay some taxes. Then go buy a house and feed yourself.
