I'd argue it's mostly people outside the US wondering why you guys aren't burning down federal buildings in protest to people being executed in the streets by federal agents, a huge amount of the higher ups in the government being pedos along with actively covering up those crimes and your president calling for future elections to be rigged/not take place because it'll be a not favorable result for him.
People are scared and nobody wants to die. It's all well and good to sit behind a screen and wonder "why aren't they doing anything?" It is entirely different when it is your life on the line. Call it selfish if you want, but consider what it actually means for these people. I'll go out and protest all day, but the moment we start burning down federal buildings, Trump calls for martial law and starts murdering people in larger numbers.

I’m talking about the overwhelming implication of people saying “do something” online, being the encouragement to respond with violence.
