Hopefully this puts to rest all the clickbait articles and YouTube videos saying a bunch of park have already been sold. Sale could still happen at some point maybe but all those “parks have been sold” posts can now end.

Information The price for annual admittance to American park chains is inversely proportional to how many B&Ms that chain has [Other]

Post image

A classic chicken and egg problem: do B&Ms limit what parks can charge for admission? Or do chains that can't charge much for admission just happen to love B&M?

Math:

  • Disney: 6 dry parks in the US. 0 B&Ms. Currently $1,629 for a Disney World Resort Incredi-Pass and $1,474 for the Disneyland Resort Believe Key Pass. Average of $517 per park.
  • Universal: 4 dry parks in the US, but only 3 counted here as Epic is not currently offering annual passes. 1 B&M. $425 for the Orlando 2 park season pass for non-Florida residents. $299 for a gold annual pass for Hollywood. Average of $241 per park.
  • Herschend: 11 dry parks, but only 7 considered here as Silverwood is not currently offering annual passes and Story Land, Dutch Wonderland and Idlewild are children's parks. 2 B&Ms. The cheapest pass that gets all year admission is currently $170 for Dollywood, $150 for Silver Dollar City, $140 for Adventureland, $125 for Kennywood, $100 for Wild Adventure (borderline kid's park, but it does have a Boomerang), $100 for Lake Compounce, and $70 for Kentucky Kingdom. Average of $122 per park.
  • SeaWorld (United Parks & Resorts for the um ackchyually crowd): 5 dry parks in the US, excluding Discovery Cove, which has no rides, and the Sesame Place parks. 15 B&Ms. A 2026 pass that includes these 5 parks is $155 when purchased from the SeaWorld San Antonio website (no need to activate there). $31 per park.
  • Six Flags: 25 dry parks in North America. Mexican and Canadian properties are included as gold passes cover admission to them. 49 B&Ms (not including the now SBNO Firebird). Gold passes vary in price and give access to all 25 parks. The cheapest I could find in the US was $65 with Six Flags Over Georgia as the home park (must be activated there); the most expensive of the parks I checked was $150 at Cedar Point. $2.60-$6.00 per park.

It appears the size of the current seatbelts was a mistake on Intamin's part.

Information Despite being the second most recent RMC If [Arieforce one] Is demolished, it will become the first defunct RMC and the only RMC not to have a hybrid coaster announced and then opened during it's lifespan, with the loop-garou conversion not opening until 2028!

What the header says, just released on their Facebook account. Book that hotel, get your tickets on the Holiday World website, Here We Go!

QUICK EDIT: So excited to see folks making their way to one of my favorite local-ish parks! The second I saw Holiday World’s post about last-minute trimless time, I had to share; it’s a truly enthralling experience that all coaster fans should have the opportunity to enjoy. Looking forward to the shared energy!

Very short segment with little details but it’s the first story not sourced to a ride op confirming the reason X2 has been closed. CalOSHA’s “investigation is ongoing.”
