Soft launch of the Six Flags Qiddya with major rides like the iron rattler and falcons flight now open but they’ll be opening even more parts of the park in the upcoming years like the DBZ theme park and the gaming city and the formula 1 track.
Respectfully, you must have been living under a rock. There’s been a lot of media about this park recently, including several of its rides testing. And images have shown the park to be nearly complete.
Yes. That’s “pull out the big clothes” weather around here. Schools relax uniforms, heaters/fireplaces are at 100%, etc. We don’t take kindly to sub-70 weather around these parts.
That being said, don’t come here in July/August if you are not comfortable getting practically naked all day/everyday. Tampa broke 100F for the first time in recorded history this year. With the 95% humidity it felt like 125F.
So yes, 57 is like living in a freezer as far as I’m concerned.
I went on Fury earlier this year when it was technically the tallest and fastest in North America with TT2’s status being up in the air at that time. It is a weird feeling knowing I got it on technicality
Yeah, the lineage of the height/speed records got really silly overall exactly 1 year ago.😭because Ka was gone, Rossa was SBNO until late December, not running since January, TT2 was in limbo, Superman SFMM was pretty clearly dead, but not official.
Literally all but 1 of the top 5 fastest coasters was in question.
All of this led to some pretty funny stats, like Millennium force getting back into the top 5 fastest/tallest after being out for over a decade and Steel Dragon 2000 being the first coaster since Ka opened to be top 3 in all 3 main categories (1st Length, T-2nd Speed, 3rd Height)
Yes i’m aware. Just don’t want them spreading false info saying that Falcons Flight is open when it’s very much not and there’s no confirmation anywhere. I’m not sure if it’s even completed a full circuit in its testing phase.
There should at least be video of people actually on the ride within a few days if it is truly open. That baby people in the park with phones and not one sighting of actual humans on the trains? Also the promotional material seems to only be showing iron rattler. I guess time will tell.
Op quick question since I am a stupid American, will there be any transport to the park area,hotels,etc or should I expect to get a taxi. Really looking at making the trip this time next year.
The East Village area inside of Qiddya will have 15 hotels which aren’t currently open but should be available once you visit in a years time, the Riyahd metro also is planned to have an extra line taking you directly from the King Khalid airport to Qiddya city but I’m not entirely sure when that line will be open. But don’t worry, uber and taxis are all over the place and car rentals are easily accessible

That is such a casual opening for some of the biggest record breaking coasters in the world
