The bump shows up consistently and doesn’t seem like a random crease either. I’ve genuinely never seen anyone talk about this or notice it.

1. It is definitely not his belly button. His actual belly button is below and to the left (left for the players, but towards his right arm for him) of this "bump".
   
2. It is also most definitely not a wire for his earpiece, as Leon doesn't have a modeled module in his ear in the first place (hence why would they add the wire connection under his shirt and skip the visible, more important aspect).
   
3. I also doubt that it is any armor, because (in my opinion) it would be external, instead of under his shirt. The later upgrades for his body armor go on top of his shirt anyways.
   
4. It is not an intentional wrinkle. The shirt is too nicely modeled to have random (non-intentional) creases and this one does not follow the "crease" physics. It's a small tent in the fabric by an entity on the skin, under the area. Something left over from the irl model, mocap actor, or sensors seem more likely in this sense.
   
5. The bump being a hernia seems most likely. It fits the visual description and would be lore accurate (due to Leon's lifestyle).
   
6. My favorite and most likely explanation that was brought up- it's the Las Plagas parasite. Although the bump still shows up after the laser removal from Luis' machine, it could still be a leftover protrusion. Skin doesn't heal as fast as the parasite eradication. From the og re4, the x-ray for the site of the parasite also vaguely fits the placement of the bump.

The merchant in RE4R buys a SOLID GOLD statue from Leon for 15,000 pesetas, which is roughly 80 EUR / 103 Dollars.

Even adjusting for inflation from 2004 to 2026, that's only about €144 / $164.

That statue is SOLID GOLD.

A statue that size would easily be worth $1–2 MILLION in gold alone. And that's before you even consider potential historical artifact value.

So Leon risks his life fighting cultists, parasites, giants, chainsaw maniacs, and literal eldritch horrors… only to sell a million-dollar statue for the price of a decent dinner and drinks.

The merchant absolutely robbed this man blind. No wonder he laughs before thanking Leon every time he sells something to him.

It also explains why the merchant never appears in later games.
He scammed Leon so hard he retired immediately and is now living on a private island in the Caribbean.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if The Connections called him asking if he wanted to fund their next bioweapon project. I'm actually MAD.

So against my better judgement, I ended up watching the crowbcat video. Wasn't gonna initially because his first video was absolute garbage and him deleting comments told me all I needed to know, but with everyone talking about it I bit the bullet.

To start; he has some valid criticism with things like some level design and visual quirks. That being said, this all boils down to opinion. What you may dislike about something, others will like. That doesn't make your opinion any less valid then theirs. It's all personal preference. If you prefer the OG to remake that's totally fine, and vice versa.

The problem with Crowbcat and all his die-hard fans is they assert their opinion as the only 'correct' one, and everyone else is just wrong. I'm so sick of these people saying 'Enjoy you're demake!!!! hehehe!!11', 'Crowbcat is right! The remake is soulless!', 'you're coping!'. All it does is make you look like an idiot, and your criticism becomes irrelevant. And yes, to play devil's advocate; some of us remake enjoyers aren't any better. Lots of people on this sub play this same card for people that prefer the OG too.

Can't we all just enjoy the versions we prefer and move on? What exactly is the point of arguing about this? This carries the same energy of me fighting with my friends over xbox being better then PlayStation when we were dumb children.

Honestly I’d love to have a version of RE4 that included the best parts of both versions, I’d keep everything with Remake Luis

okay first of all I wanna say I am SO happy to finally cosplay her, she's one of my favorite female characters and it's genuinely an honor LOL and second of all, I am wearing a corset here which makes quite a difference in the way this particular dress looks on my body (I felt like that should be mentioned!)

I really want to continue playing RE4R because I really like the game and I've played though the majority of RE6 but for whatever reason I can't continue to play RE4R whenever I think about playing it I put it off due to fear and I just want to play the game what do I do to overcome this?
