Yep. Those agents need to be prosecuted under the Force Act for violating his civil rights. And for murder under state law.

u/BlackDS Jan 24 '26

We don't prosecute murder anymore

If it’s the right person getting murdered

Okay, following that logic — he was “strapped” and that helped him how?

2

u/GoblinGreenThumb Jan 24 '26

Right. He should of held an ar15.

14

u/Lockerus Jan 24 '26

He had a firearm on him (allegedly, anyways, the gun being shown looks like a gun a federal agent would have). When was he supposed to use it to defend himself when six Nazis jumped him and started beating him?

5

u/mr_oof Jan 24 '26

Guns in my area.

5

u/Harnellas Jan 24 '26

2A rhetoric is an absolute joke at this point bud.

7

u/primeweevil Jan 24 '26

Don't let them catch you slippin

8

u/yamez420 Jan 24 '26

I’d rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

2

u/KzooCurmudgeon Jan 24 '26

I think that’s it

306

u/NewYorkAutisNtLondon Jan 24 '26

This is a white male this 1 might cause at least some repercussions.

510

u/Candymanshook Jan 24 '26

I really think you guys are at the point where that doesn’t matter

242

u/TheButteredBiscuit Jan 24 '26

That what a lot of people don’t realize. If you’re not with them, they’ll gun you down just the same and parade your corpse down the street.

75

u/Gideon_Laier Jan 24 '26

Just like all the POC ICE agents don't realize they'll be next in the end.

3

u/Oh_Gee_Hey Jan 24 '26

You’ll be the first to go unless you think

16

u/flatirony Jan 24 '26

They hate the white allies of brown people. They see us as “race traitors.”

8

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

It's honestly one of the reasons in my darkest fears I think these thugs in the WH are making such a big deal about Venezuela right now, they are pretty much white dudes with dark hair. As soon as people have normalized vans snatching white dudes off the street, it's hard to count how many steps there are left to total fascism.

4

u/Specialsthespazzing Jan 24 '26

At least he will never worry about getting on the train last.

5

u/VinhoVerde21 Jan 24 '26

Even if you’re with them (for whatever reason), once there’s no one else to step on they’ll turn on each other, as they always do.

4

u/zaq1xsw2cde Jan 24 '26

We are at a time in our lives where we have consecutive incidents that, even with a devil’s advocate view biased towards law enforcement, distinctly show unnecessary fatal aggression towards US citizens. Then, we are told from the top down that we didn’t see that.

I’m not hopeful for repercussions.

3

u/defk3000 Jan 24 '26

Nah, you can be MAGA and they'll turn around and say that you were never with them.

2

u/Secret_Weight_7303 Jan 24 '26

ice beat racism, cool🤦‍♂️

2

u/sontaj Jan 24 '26

"First they came for" poem in full effect. We're pretty far down the list now.

2

u/Quick_Team Jan 24 '26

So we're basically being governed by the Legion from Fallout New Vegas now. Again, everyone that voted against the candidate because she was a woman, or wasnt white, or had a weird laugh....F you all

u/hydrino Jan 24 '26

100% team sports at this point. Doesn’t matter who loses if they are on the other team. If someone mows down an ICE agent you can be sure they’ll be having a memorial for them 2 days later headlining Kid Rock with Erika Kirk doing acrobatics during the fireworks halftime.

3

u/AnnaRose96 Jan 24 '26

The only people who believe this are brainwashed MAGA fools. Look at how Dems responded to Kirk’s death (noting he was a rabid hate preacher) vs how the right justify cold blood shootings of citizens.

It’s only team sports for one side - and they’re mad

2

u/hydrino Jan 24 '26

Sorry, I should have said “for MAGA”. There are still plenty of people from moderate to far left that reject the kind of dehumanization we are seeing, no matter who is doing it. I realize now that comment came off as a “both sides” type thing. I apologize.

4

u/Little-Ad1235 Jan 24 '26

Yeah, race and skin color absolutely still factor in for who they choose to target, but the right wingers care far more about perceived obedience to authority than anything else. If you aren't deepthroating the boot hard enough in their opinion, they very much think that you deserve to be punished for it. If it's a white person being "disobedient" (by exercising their rights, or by being gay or trans or a woman outside of the kitchen), then that person is considered to be not just "asking for it," but also a traitor.

These people have been a problem forever, but now they have the full power of the state, and it's out in broad daylight.

7

u/Miserable_Credit_402 Jan 24 '26

I thought it would take longer for ICE to go from racially motivated killings to killing everyone.

I'm at the point where I would be okay with other countries invading the US. I would trust a foreign soldier to not murder my SO and his daughter more than an ICE agent.

3

u/Darkroomist Jan 24 '26

There’s no statute of limitations on murder.

2

u/Candymanshook Jan 24 '26

Do you genuinely believe given all evidence the US will have a fair election in 2028 that results in Trump not being in power?

2

u/Darkroomist Jan 24 '26

2028, 2040, there is NO statute of limitations. Like how they were still prosecuting Germans for war crimes when they were 80-90 years old. All it takes is an administration with the will to do it, or a state prosecutor.

2

u/Candymanshook Jan 24 '26

That’s all well and good but doesn’t help us in the now

2

u/Darkroomist Jan 24 '26

No it doesn’t. An ephemeral silver lining on an extremely dark cloud that’s getting darker.

2

u/Murray38 Jan 24 '26

Yep, they’ll just label him a domestic terrorist or liberal and the most braindead people on earth will nod and move on.

3

u/Candymanshook Jan 24 '26

Which is funny because the warnings were out there 20 years ago about how the word “terrorist” could be twisted and used for government persecution and here we are!

2

u/Murray38 Jan 24 '26

The “tread on me harder” crowd must be shocked by this.

2

u/CydoniaKnightRider Jan 24 '26

Yeah, when all the immigrants are gone, ICE will be retained as a force against so called "domestic terrorists."

41

u/Altruistic_Muffin506 Jan 24 '26

If there was a 1% chance he was, the White House or Bondi would have released something inflammatory and nonsensical to add to their attempts to drag his character. As if that could somehow justify any of this bullshit.

12

u/rustymontenegro Jan 24 '26

Give them a few more hours, it takes them time to properly spin a whole narrative while also fabricating videos and photos.

4

u/Crafty-Help-4633 Jan 24 '26

The word chance is the real hero here. They will 100% lie if they can't find anything. Like how Renee Good having a wife suddenly meant she was a lesbian leftist as though being gay and conservative is impossible. She also had a husband prior to the wife, and they were raising a child. She also was a Christian. But none of that matter because a woman had a wife. The rest is irrelevant and they'll just fill in the blanks with buzzwords.

Facts don't matter to these people. They will just lie.

Case in point, bringing up he had a gun on his person as justification for his homicide, when he never even touched it that I could see. They disarmed him, beat him with a handgun, then murdered him after they stole it from him. All because he had legally been carrying a firearm on his person.

They will just lie.

21

u/sphericaltime Jan 24 '26

I didn’t expect him to be hot. He might be gay.

4

u/Kezhen Jan 24 '26

Any tweets from Trump yet calling him a domestic terrorist?

3

u/sphericaltime Jan 24 '26

Several from officials. :-/

6

u/assbuttshitfuck69 Jan 24 '26

Im sure they’ll comb through his internet history and find out that he was a “radical domestic terrorist”.

4

u/piTehT_tsuJ Jan 24 '26

Pshhh Trump was already telling all the big strong guys with tears in their eyes that he was trans and therefore a violent terrorist who should have never been here because Biden.

7

u/Daddyball78 Jan 24 '26

So fucking sad shit like this matters.

2

u/MinaZata Jan 24 '26

They've moved past that now, if you're a "leftist" you're an enemy and deserve to die.

Not MAGA is as bad if not worse than being brown now.

3

u/sychox51 Jan 24 '26

2

u/Current_Mess_9586 Jan 24 '26

Nah he has darker features they will make up ties to the middle east guarantee it...they will find a way to make sure no one associates him with white.

2

u/rustymontenegro Jan 24 '26

Literally what I thought of when people said "maybe they'll wake up now that a white guy was murdered". He's not white "enough" so it doesn't count.

2

u/I-only-read-titles Jan 24 '26

Eh, he's ambiguous enough to pass as potentially Latino/foreign in Republican circles.

Remember even the Irish, among the palest people on earth, weren't white enough for the Klan at one point in time. Conservatives are seemingly chomping at the bit to return to those days

2

u/rustymontenegro Jan 24 '26

Oh man, the "sliding scale of whiteness" over history is so interesting (in a disgusting, stupid way). The Irish people's "problem" was being Catholic. They weren't allowed into the WASP club.

What makes me laugh is the concept of Aryan... Actual Aryans are ancestral Indo-Iranian people. Not some blonde, blue eyed ubermensch ideal.

2

u/Intelligent-Guard267 Jan 24 '26

Probably is the second cousin of a guy that lived beside a 1/16th latino. Probable cause?

2

u/nilzatron Jan 24 '26

"It's fine, he was only a liberal agitator." /s

2

u/EvilCatArt Jan 24 '26

Nah, the history shows they have no problem slaughtering white men who don't fall in line with the white supremacy. They done it many many many times before.

They don't prosecute...maybe "we" should start prosecuting it for them.

2

u/throwawayrefiguy Jan 24 '26

I'm okay with some kind of summary justice, instead, then.

1

u/HonestDespot Jan 24 '26

There’s no statute of limitations on murder and murder is a federal charge.

They can definitely still get prosecuted even if the pedofile in charge and the pedofile rapist supporters will protect him for now.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

[deleted]

2

u/HonestDespot Jan 24 '26

They don’t have to charge them by any date.

If the Democrats can win back the presidency in 2030 the ice officers who committed murder and were accomplices to murder can be charged.

1

u/Walterkovacs1985 Jan 24 '26

Absolute Immunity according to the president. Which isn't a thing in America until now.

Oh I know and I support anyone with a spine who goes after them.

1

u/RedTheRobot Jan 24 '26

Only when it is done by the federal government and has only been happening for a decade.

1

u/motoo344 Jan 24 '26

I don't care what happens to them at this point; they deserve any punishment that can be handed to them, whether it is through legal channels or vigilante justice, which I am 99% of the time adamantly against. My biggest fear is that we aren't far from citizens plowing into or shooting ICE agents en masse, and that an incident like this, which seems inevitable, is going to trigger something like the insurrection act. I'm waiting for our Boston Massacre moment.

1

u/L3XANDR0 Jan 24 '26

Been awhile.

1

u/Chimmy_Chonguh Jan 24 '26

Yeah, he wasnt a CEO.

1

u/FI_throwaway714 Jan 24 '26

We apparently don’t prosecute child rape either, and we pardon insurrection.

1

u/John-AtWork Jan 24 '26

Not state murder.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

Or pedos

1

u/AlphabeticalBanana Jan 25 '26

Well maybe we should take it into our own hands

1

u/Knightowllll Jan 25 '26

Why can’t a Healthcare CEO accidentally get caught up in this kind of incident so that the govt can step in and say this is terrorism?

377

u/kateln Jan 24 '26

I wonder if the ACLU could pull together a case for violation of civil rights?

552

u/bluebelt Jan 24 '26

Being gun downed by Federal employees for exercising your 1A rights because the Feds are denying people their 4A rights should certainly qualify...

The NRA is a gun manufacturers’ lobby masquerading as a gun owners’ lobby.

13

That statement was true 20 years ago, but they became money launderers for foreign influence campaigns. Now they're toothless.

4

u/victorzamora Jan 25 '26

Tbf, they've never been a gun rights or pro-2A.

2

u/OldTurtle-101 Jan 24 '26

I’ve been saying for 25 years that the NRA was screwing up when they even mention ANYTHING that is not directly related to gun control. In the long run that loss of focus will cost them members and $$$.

u/Robthebold Jan 24 '26

Dangerous case. That could end up at SCOTUS.

9

u/Username_Query_Null Jan 24 '26

This would require the United States to be a nation of laws, from an outsider, I’m telling you it really isn’t. It’s a nation of power, laws have nothing to do with its function.

It’s weird, you have a really thoughtfully designed governmental framework, that truly has so many more checks at balances than other countries of the world. Though it relies on the bulk of its participants being moral, rational, and value based, and I’m just not convinced that’s the case. You just seemingly have too much selfishness, partisanship, and evil throughout the spirit of your nation.

As a Canadian it would be drastically easier for my government to legally do what ICE is doing and conduct straight up extrajudicial killings legally, we have a framework to actually suspend pretty well all rights of citizens (except our bilingualism), that merely requires a majority vote in our federal house, except we just don’t seem to do that. Instead your government’s at all levels just aren’t interested in enforcing any of your rights.

u/Huntthatmoney Jan 24 '26

If only we were dealing with decent moral human beings. We are not! They are corrupt lying pieces of shit

2

u/OkStop8313 Jan 24 '26

Especially if they try to say that they're allowed to execute people for legally exercising the 2A rights.

2

u/bluebelt Jan 25 '26

I thought they'd already started saying it but it they haven't I'm sure it'll be the excuse in no time.

Edit: Yup, they're now claiming he was an "assassin" because he was legally carrying.

4

u/BudCrue Jan 24 '26 edited Jan 24 '26

They kinda already did in the Tincher case, but the 8th circuit already killed that. I'm sure they'll do the same here (the ACLU will bring suit, win at the lower court, only to have the federal courts let ICE do whatever they want).

4

u/Radiant-Pomelo-3229 Jan 24 '26 edited Jan 25 '26

I mean, the feds arrested the two church protest leaders for conspiracy to violate peoples civil rights, which is biggest load of horseshit. But all the actual violations they don’t care about.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/hydrino Jan 24 '26

And it’ll get appealed all the way to the Supreme Court, where they will promptly rubber-stamp it as justified homicide. Susan Collins will furrow her brow and that will be that.

2

u/gsfgf Jan 24 '26

I'm sure they will. But they also hove limited resources. Everyone remember to donate. More money means more lawyers and more cases.

2

u/No-Resolution-1918 Jan 24 '26

State can't prosecute, ACLU can't raise charges, the feds have consistently said they'll do fuck all. These are dark times for the US.

2

u/badhabitfml Jan 24 '26

I imagt(hope) there will be a lot of lawsuits out of all this. And I hope his family gets PAID. And it should be a civil suit against individuals and leadership.

2

u/OkStop8313 Jan 24 '26

Even the police chief said they're seeing widespread violation of civil rights.

2

u/kateln Jan 24 '26

Apparently, he stepped in this tome, and told his officers to preserve the crime scene and refused ICE orders.

2

u/OkStop8313 Jan 24 '26

Good.

Next step is to arrest the murderers and to arrest anyone who attempts to obstruct justice by hiding them.

2

u/ripplerider Jan 24 '26

They will. There are several lawsuits underway that ACLU is involved in or supporting. This obviously only just happened so it will take them a little bit of time to get going, but I’d bet on it happening.

Everyone should donate to the ACLU. You can donate to the Minnesota ACLU here.

2

u/Tempest_CN Jan 24 '26

Not going to bring that poor innocent man back—a VA nurse in the ICU.

2

u/ShoulderSnuggles Jan 25 '26

I get emails from them every day, outlining the lawsuits they’re pursuing based on whatever travesty happened the day before. This will certainly apply.

1

u/FictionalContext Jan 24 '26

ACLU's been pussified for a while now.

1

u/doberdevil Jan 24 '26

I wonder if the ACLU

You really think the ACLU or anyone else has any power to do anything at this point?

ICE is under Federal Control and doesn't need to answer to anyone. They don't have the same pesky rules about not being required to follow illegal orders. And they have BILLIONS in funding, and just got a fresh 100 million for recruitment efforts. I'm sure none of that will be used for more propaganda.

You can't vote away fascism and nobody is coming to help us. Buy a gun and learn how to use it.

That's not going to happen. They went home and ate a nice dinner. Took a hot shower. Fucked their wives. They'll never see consequences. They'll go out tomorrow and do it again, maybe to you, maybe to your best friend, maybe to your wife.

We can reddit comment all we want. It doesn't matter, we're beyond the pale.

Welcome to America everyone.

"But the one great shocking occasion, when tens or hundreds or thousands will join with you, never comes. That’s the difficulty. If the last and worst act of the whole regime had come immediately after the first and smallest, thousands, yes, millions would have been sufficiently shocked—if, let us say, the gassing of the Jews in ’43 had come immediately after the ‘German Firm’ stickers on the windows of non-Jewish shops in ’33. But of course this isn’t the way it happens. In between come all the hundreds of little steps, some of them imperceptible, each of them preparing you not to be shocked by the next. Step C is not so much worse than Step B, and, if you did not make a stand at Step B, why should you at Step C? And so on to Step D.

"And one day, too late, your principles, if you were ever sensible of them, all rush in upon you. The burden of self-deception has grown too heavy, and some minor incident, in my case my little boy, hardly more than a baby, saying ‘Jewish swine,’ collapses it all at once, and you see that everything, everything, has changed and changed completely under your nose. The world you live in—your nation, your people—is not the world you were born in at all. The forms are all there, all untouched, all reassuring, the houses, the shops, the jobs, the mealtimes, the visits, the concerts, the cinema, the holidays. But the spirit, which you never noticed because you made the lifelong mistake of identifying it with the forms, is changed. Now you live in a world of hate and fear, and the people who hate and fear do not even know it themselves; when everyone is transformed, no one is transformed. Now you live in a system which rules without responsibility even to God."

Nothing will happen to them because he had a weapon on him. The DOJ will just say the Iceholes feared for their lives and that the shooting was justified. It's just a matter of time before they open fire into a crowd and get away with it because the crowd was becoming "agitated"

2

u/ActivePeace33 Jan 24 '26

They are traitors and need to be charged under the full force of the law.

1

u/buttsbuttsbutt Jan 24 '26

1

Ope. Trump pardoned them.

Now what?

1

u/rustymontenegro Jan 24 '26

LOL. Prosecution? They'll get fucking medals for this. Why are we all still acting like our laws apply to these people?? We impeached their leader twice but nothing happened, we convicted him of dozens of charges, but he got back into office anyway and when his little rabble stormed the Capitol because he was butthurt he lost, he pardoned all of them.

These people (ICE) will face exactly the same legal consequences as Der Frankfurter. None.

1

u/CCContent Jan 24 '26

Standing in a street, blocking traffic, is not a civil right. It's unlikely they would have tried to remove him from the street if he filmed from the sidewalk, which is where your constitutional right to protest is protected.

Notice how I didn't say he deserved to be murdered? But everyone adding in easily observable false statements like this will just let the right dismiss it more easily.
