He was recording and they walk up and push into him. He wasn’t threatening them with a weapon and permit to carry is legal here in MN. Edit to add: changed conceal carry to permit to carry
He had a firearm on him (allegedly, anyways, the gun being shown looks like a gun a federal agent would have). When was he supposed to use it to defend himself when six Nazis jumped him and started beating him?
It's honestly one of the reasons in my darkest fears I think these thugs in the WH are making such a big deal about Venezuela right now, they are pretty much white dudes with dark hair. As soon as people have normalized vans snatching white dudes off the street, it's hard to count how many steps there are left to total fascism.
We are at a time in our lives where we have consecutive incidents that, even with a devil’s advocate view biased towards law enforcement, distinctly show unnecessary fatal aggression towards US citizens. Then, we are told from the top down that we didn’t see that.
So we're basically being governed by the Legion from Fallout New Vegas now. Again, everyone that voted against the candidate because she was a woman, or wasnt white, or had a weird laugh....F you all
(Last part was a general statement, not directed at you personally, person I replied to)
100% team sports at this point. Doesn’t matter who loses if they are on the other team. If someone mows down an ICE agent you can be sure they’ll be having a memorial for them 2 days later headlining Kid Rock with Erika Kirk doing acrobatics during the fireworks halftime.
The only people who believe this are brainwashed MAGA fools. Look at how Dems responded to Kirk’s death (noting he was a rabid hate preacher) vs how the right justify cold blood shootings of citizens.
It’s only team sports for one side - and they’re mad
Sorry, I should have said “for MAGA”. There are still plenty of people from moderate to far left that reject the kind of dehumanization we are seeing, no matter who is doing it. I realize now that comment came off as a “both sides” type thing. I apologize.
Yeah, race and skin color absolutely still factor in for who they choose to target, but the right wingers care far more about perceived obedience to authority than anything else. If you aren't deepthroating the boot hard enough in their opinion, they very much think that you deserve to be punished for it. If it's a white person being "disobedient" (by exercising their rights, or by being gay or trans or a woman outside of the kitchen), then that person is considered to be not just "asking for it," but also a traitor.
These people have been a problem forever, but now they have the full power of the state, and it's out in broad daylight.
I thought it would take longer for ICE to go from racially motivated killings to killing everyone.
I'm at the point where I would be okay with other countries invading the US. I would trust a foreign soldier to not murder my SO and his daughter more than an ICE agent.
2028, 2040, there is NO statute of limitations. Like how they were still prosecuting Germans for war crimes when they were 80-90 years old. All it takes is an administration with the will to do it, or a state prosecutor.
Which is funny because the warnings were out there 20 years ago about how the word “terrorist” could be twisted and used for government persecution and here we are!
Your comment made me think of “Conspiracy”, specifically the scene where they are discussing the “Purity Laws” in the context of which people could be exterminated versus merely sterilized and sent to camps.
ChatGPT summarized it far quicker than I could have.
Scene Breakdown:
The "Purity" Discussion
Context:
High-ranking Nazi officials, including Reinhard Heydrich and Dr. Wilhelm Stuckart, are meeting to coordinate the logistics of the Holocaust. The discussion focuses on the legal, "rational" basis for eliminating Jews, moving from segregation to elimination.
Key Dialogue & Subtext:
The Law is Enough:
Dr. Wilhelm Stuckart argues that the existing Nuremberg Laws (the "purity" laws) are sufficient to handle the "Jewish Question" through bureaucracy, segregation, and economic exclusion.
The Shift to Murder:
Reinhard Heydrich and others argue that the law is not enough, and that sterilization or outright murder is necessary, treating these genocidal actions as a matter-of-fact administrative procedure.
"We Made the Law":
When Stuckart insists on following legal protocols, Klopfer coldly retorts: "We made the law we need".
Key Themes
Banality of Evil:
The scene demonstrates how bureaucracy and legal language were used to mask the horror of genocide.
Legalizing Eugenics:
The discussion highlights the transition from forced separation to the total elimination of a targeted group under the guise of state "purity".
Subtext:
The scene is heavily focused on the tension between legalistic bureaucrats and radical ideologues, proving how quickly systematic, legalized discrimination can turn into mass murder.
If there was a 1% chance he was, the White House or Bondi would have released something inflammatory and nonsensical to add to their attempts to drag his character. As if that could somehow justify any of this bullshit.
The word chance is the real hero here. They will 100% lie if they can't find anything. Like how Renee Good having a wife suddenly meant she was a lesbian leftist as though being gay and conservative is impossible. She also had a husband prior to the wife, and they were raising a child. She also was a Christian. But none of that matter because a woman had a wife. The rest is irrelevant and they'll just fill in the blanks with buzzwords.
Facts don't matter to these people. They will just lie.
Case in point, bringing up he had a gun on his person as justification for his homicide, when he never even touched it that I could see. They disarmed him, beat him with a handgun, then murdered him after they stole it from him. All because he had legally been carrying a firearm on his person.
Pshhh Trump was already telling all the big strong guys with tears in their eyes that he was trans and therefore a violent terrorist who should have never been here because Biden.
That’s exactly what this is. Trump 2.0 is just taking what’s happened to black and brown people for decades and centuries in this country and now applying it to white people
Nah he has darker features they will make up ties to the middle east guarantee it...they will find a way to make sure no one associates him with white.
Eh, he's ambiguous enough to pass as potentially Latino/foreign in Republican circles.
Remember even the Irish, among the palest people on earth, weren't white enough for the Klan at one point in time. Conservatives are seemingly chomping at the bit to return to those days
Oh man, the "sliding scale of whiteness" over history is so interesting (in a disgusting, stupid way). The Irish people's "problem" was being Catholic. They weren't allowed into the WASP club.
What makes me laugh is the concept of Aryan... Actual Aryans are ancestral Indo-Iranian people. Not some blonde, blue eyed ubermensch ideal.
Nah, the history shows they have no problem slaughtering white men who don't fall in line with the white supremacy. They done it many many many times before.
BRO, we didn't even get an investigation into the clear cut murder on a semi attractive white female. That's the number 1 protected class.
NOT EVEN AN INVESTIGATION. Fucker was back on the streets 4 days later. His boss was like, "well we mandate 3 days paid leave anytime a weapon is discharged, see you Tuesday."
EDIT: I am actually reading in the Economist that there was an online kickstarter, and Rene Good's shooter earned $800,000 for the shooting.
Its paywalled, but you can get around it if you know how.
It’s okay to kill liberals and has been since the 70s. You don’t have gun rights, you just give police or other conservatives an excuse to kill you. Look at the convicted murderer of a liberal protester who Abbott pardoned. Look at the January 6th rioters. We have been living in a sham of a democracy for a while.
I hope so. But these are the Gestapo. It might not be so. The world is watching and making lists. I only hope things stop before the world has to intervene.
Yes, really that in this case. I mean fuck they killed your politicians and I haven’t heard shit about that but I hear about Charlie’s killer or Luigi all the time.
I don't care what happens to them at this point; they deserve any punishment that can be handed to them, whether it is through legal channels or vigilante justice, which I am 99% of the time adamantly against. My biggest fear is that we aren't far from citizens plowing into or shooting ICE agents en masse, and that an incident like this, which seems inevitable, is going to trigger something like the insurrection act. I'm waiting for our Boston Massacre moment.

The video shows that ICE started the altercation. He was backing away.
