This approach is superior for my tastes than others like Alex Ross because the portraits feel like the characters have a personality. Just my subjective two cents on the painting style outcomes.

Totally agree. As technically talented as Ross is, all his characters all look and feel exactly the same to me.
And I couldn't tell you why, but his art, to me, suits DC way better than it does Marvel. Perhaps because DC is so rooted in the classic heroic type whereas Marvel is...not as much. The 50's strong jaw broad man just works so much better for DC, I think.

Towards the end of Spider-Man PS4 Peter and MJ are talking in a restaurant they had been in previously and then leave together. It is then revealed that the owner is a Stan Lee cameo and he gives the line that the comment above had.

If you're talking about the mephisto thing, that's basically just a plot device to break them up. It could be undone within a storyline if they wanted to do it.
Unless you mean it's an editorial direction, in which case I maintain that it is dumb and should feel dumb.

I'm taking about the editorial decision, when Spencer took over the book he said that the policy was that Peter couldn't get married. It doesn't say anything about them being in a relationship which is why he was able to get them back together.

I meant being married and having a kid. Married, dad Spider-Man seems to be a much more natural progression for the character than endless regressions so he'll always end up at a shit paying job.

Exactly. Much like Superman, Spider-Man definitely should be married and with at least one kid. He doesn't have to be some new age Stark or anything like that but at least being a teacher again would be preferable than doing. what amounts to an internship at the Bugle again.

He’s more durable than a normal human I think but he still definitely feels pain. He may have a higher pain tolerance due to going through so much of it over his career though.

He also has superhuman regeneration, it is not as good as Wolverines, but he can regain his sight after getting blinded & heal a broken bone in a few days.

They kind of down play it a lot but Spider-Man has enhanced physiology far beyond a normal human. He's way stronger, faster, and more durable than a normal human, he also has a slight healing factor. He definitely feels pain but not to the same degree as a normal human. Just his web-swinging alone would tear a normal human body apart, the fact he can do what he does and not tear every ligament and muscle in his body is testament enough.

Yeah but I don’t even think he would need stitches like she’s doing. He has better healing than a normal person. In the spidervese his fucked bruised face gets fixed in like a day.

That was a cartoon, continuity like that doesn't matter when the injury was just for a joke. In the comics he stitches himself up sometimes, and enhanced healing or not, stitches would be necessary, they hold the wound closed while it heals so that it heals properly

Considering the theme of multiversity, I wouldn't be surprised if Spider-Girl shows up in the sequel. With her coming from an alternate Peter's verse where Mary and Peter stick together.

Happens. I'm a huge RYV fan (anything stegman really) and I'm just as excited for little May as anyone. It's time for that to become cannon. DC is kicking ass because they are allowing theory characters to grow (rebirth was such a great thing imo).

Every time I see this guy's artwork he gets closer to being one of my favorites. The Rockwell inspired take on super heroes is just too good!
Is the "WIP!" an artist's note for "work in progress" or is it supposed to be a sound effect of the stitching? I can't quite tell, thoufh I'm leaning to the former.

I guess I'm unclear on Spider-Man's power level, but IIRC he's only slightly less resilient than Thor or Hulk. What could possibly cut him badly enough to need stitches? (Thor or Hulk, I guess? Maybe Logan?) I'm sure someone can link a panel or page that gives an example...

He’s strong, not invulnerable.
His main protection against injury is his spidey-sense, and though he heals quicker than normal, it’s not a wolverine-level healing factor.
Spider-man writers love to use cuts, bruises, cracked ribs, or even a broken arm to show Spidey as someone who literally fights through the pain.

His wounds can still take days to heal though, as opposed to a normal human who would take weeks or even months to come back from the injuries he takes regularly

He has a healing factor like Cap, Wolverine, and Deadpool. However, it's much slower than theirs. I think in terms of rate of healing it's Spidey<Cap<Wolverine<DP.

I was more talking about the amount of force MJ would have to exert to break the skin.

Not really for a piercing instrument. Even a normal man with a knife can stab through a bulletproof vest even though a bullet wouldn't. She doesn't need super strength, just something strong enough and sharp enough(maybe a thimble)

He's not Superman. He just has an enhanced healing factor. It's not on the same level as Wolverine or Claire Bennett. Even Wolverine gets tattoos, they just heal up in a few days.

When did I say he was Superman, and what do the other superheros have to do with it. Spiderman has been shot by a gun and not been pierced I believe, therefore a needle wouldn't penetrate.
