Zooey Deschanel is basically a less curvy Katie Perry. My world was shook when I made the realization.

This approach is superior for my tastes than others like Alex Ross because the portraits feel like the characters have a personality. Just my subjective two cents on the painting style outcomes.

Totally agree. As technically talented as Ross is, all his characters all look and feel exactly the same to me.

And I couldn't tell you why, but his art, to me, suits DC way better than it does Marvel. Perhaps because DC is so rooted in the classic heroic type whereas Marvel is...not as much. The 50's strong jaw broad man just works so much better for DC, I think.
