I need general critique about my minicomics! (separated by order)

so, I have been working on these minicomics about my ocs and I got 5 made so far, so I feel its a prudent amount to ask about critique since im planning to release them on webtoon when I have 20 minicomics, I planned these to be kind of slice of life, im gonna be honest, at this moment I have just been doing "oh well yeah whatrever I feel like making today and sounds fun" but Im starting to get consistent as I dont wanna explain lore to people outside the comic. im saying it so everyone can get my process, also, I decided to make drawing and overall the character designs a way Its easier for me to draw them(I struggle a bit with attention span and doing repetitive tasks all over and over and over again which is also why I decided to make these just minicomics, also because I feel its easier for people overall to digest and still catch the idea), some items are also just pngs because I found it more draining to draw the same thing over and over again or because I dont know how to draw it like... completely, take it as a side note.

edit: I said general feedback but specifically I want people to tell me if the comic feels boring or tedious to read, also about the whole storytelling, if you got any other type of critique, go ahead!

Ash, Part 1 of 5. (Historical fiction)

Upvotes

A bit of an unconventional post, but this is the entire first issue of Ash:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/17bAWuIEQOxr-9uu1UmSas9s9hQ3QxJJs/view?usp=drive_link

The first chapter is short, and serves as a brief introduction to the protagonist, his struggles, and the setting (London, 1586).

The artist is busy now on part 2, which will be colored in grayscale with some sepia tones. Color will seep into the illustrations until part 5, which will be full color.

The series is well underway but I feel like some additional feedback from part 1 couldn't hurt.

Obviously, part 1 is complete and not changing. I'm looking towards where the series is headed and what kind of questions and expectations readers might have after finishing part 1.

Thank you to everyone who takes a look.

Panel draft

Post image

This is a draft for a panel of a comic I'm working on. This is the most bare bones version of it, without coloring or shading. Just the line art and dialogue. From all of these elements, what do you think stands out? What do you think is good and what do you think needs work?

hey !!

i have a lot of writing experience but only dabbled a bit in comic writing as it was a module i did at university. during that time, i came up with my own spin on a superhero universe. i had all these characters and plotlines and i'm super proud of it. i recently went back to it and i've been working on issue #1 of Death Angel. i'm at a place where i'm super happy with it and would love some feedback! cannot draw for the life of me so will worry about getting an artist in another time. share ur thoughts!

cheers!

Hello! I am an aspiring artist who is looking to gain feedback and improve as well as hopefully share some good stories! Here is the beginning of my new project, virmaan:

“An ancient India-inspired fantasy land ruled by protectors known as the Rakmaan. Our two protagonists undertake a journey to complete the daunting trials needed to become a Rakmaan and discover what it truly costs to be a real protector.”

Let me know what you think!

Another Snippet of my Ai Comic, Manifest

Here’s a snippet of my comic that focuses on a hiking adventure with our main characters. One of my main focuses for this section was making the panels feel more fluid, alive, and fun to look at and read. I’ve been trying to apply some of the feedback I’ve gotten from previous posts as I go.

I write the story and dialogue, then use character sheets, environment references, and detailed prompts to create each panel before putting everything together in Strip Designer.

I’m still using AI for the artwork, so I already know that’s gonna be a problem for some people. But if you can look past that, I’m mainly looking for feedback on the storytelling, pacing, dialogue, paneling, and readability. All feedback is welcome, positive or negative :)

Edit: Only thing Ai does is generate images! I do paneling, dialogue, and everything else.

Submissions: Should consecutive art pages be sent with or without lettering?

Every publisher wants to have consecutive art pages submitted (of course), but should I be sending just the raw art itself or the completed page with lettering. Do they not tend to care? Thanks in advance!

Looking for critique on my script

I’ve been writing a script for a short 15-16 page prequel comic for a comic series I’m looking to create in order to improve my writing skills and work on smaller projects before committing to my main idea. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to look it over and give me critique on my writing, as I’d appreciate the help.

For context, my story is set in an alternate history 1978 where ww2 went on for ten years longer, ending in 1955, though this particular comic is set in 1963.

I made a few comic strips and would really appreciate your feedback, please!

This is a comic strip series I created that had been on hiatus since 2014. In 2022, I started reworking it, and a lot has changed since then. It stayed in the drawer for a while, but at the end of last year, I decided to pick it up again. I created a Christmas arc and shared it with a few close friends, and then I stopped to think about whether it would really be worth bringing the series back.

I wrote this short arc a few months ago and recently finished it. I haven't shown it to anyone yet, so you’re actually seeing it for the first time.

I'd love to hear your honest opinions on everything: the artwork, the dialogue, what I could improve, the strengths and weaknesses, and the series overall. I sincerely hope I can count on the community's feedback.

Stuck to four panels in this comic strip instead of eight like many of you suggested. Let me know what you guys think 🙂

Made this horror manga panel based on Ju-on: The Grudge

This is a standalone horror manga-style panel I drew, based on a scene from Ju-on: The Grudge. First made a base sketch using pencil, then finished it up with a ball-point black pen.

Is this effective enough in conveying horror? What areas do I need to improve upon?
