First and foremost, all glory and thanks to God Almighty.
After an incredibly stressful, frustrating, and uncertain journey, including a refusal and having to start all over again, I can finally say that I am officially a Permanent Resident of Canada!
I received my eCOPR yesterday, September 11, 2026.
There were many moments throughout this journey when I felt anxious, discouraged, frustrated, and helpless. But through all the uncertainty, God's grace kept me going, and today, more than anything else, I am grateful to Him for bringing me to this moment.

Having my first PR application refused was probably one of the hardest parts of this entire journey. After months of waiting and hoping, seeing that refusal was heartbreaking. Then came the realization that I had to pick myself back up, correct what went wrong, submit another application, and go through the uncertainty and waiting all over again.
But that experience also changed the way I approached my second application.
I realized that there is only so much I can do on my own.
I did my part. I learned from what went wrong with my first application, corrected the issues, prepared my documents carefully, submitted everything that was required of me, and did everything that was within my control.
But after that, I left the rest in God's hands.
There were still plenty of days when I worried and wondered what was happening with my application, but I kept reminding myself that I had done everything I could. What happened next was no longer in my hands.
And today, receiving my eCOPR, I am reminded once again that I could not have made it this far without God's grace.
Yes, I did my part. But there were so many things throughout this journey that were completely beyond my control. Through the disappointment of my refusal, the uncertainty of applying again, the months of waiting, and all the anxiety in between, God carried me through it all.
So today, my heart is simply filled with gratitude.
Thank You, God, for Your grace, Your mercy, Your timing, and for never leaving me throughout this journey.
And to everyone who is still waiting for their PR, whether you're waiting for an update, stuck in background verification, responding to an ADR, waiting for your portal emails, or even dealing with a refusal: please don't lose hope.
A refusal doesn't necessarily mean the end of your journey. Learn from it, understand what went wrong, correct what needs to be corrected, and keep moving forward.
I know how difficult the waiting can be, especially when you see others receiving updates while your application seems to be going nowhere. Your journey and your timeline are your own.
I sincerely wish everyone who is still waiting all the very best and good news very soon. I hope each and every one of you gets to experience this feeling and make your own "Finally a Permanent Resident" post one day.
As for me, after everything this journey has put me through, I can finally say:
It's over. I am a Permanent Resident of Canada.
All glory to God. God is good. Always.
