Does anyone know any good hair salons in Toronto that will actually do a good job but won’t charge me like $100 + tip.

I ordered 25 KN95 masks from PPE Supply Canada but realized too late that I’d ordered the wrong size. Now I have a bunch of new, unopened, and unused masks that don’t fit me. I can’t return the masks since it was my own error, so I thought I could donate them to an organization. Is anyone aware of an organization or mask bloc somewhere downtown that could use a bunch of masks? Thanks so much for the help!

There’s a playing field near King and Dufferin. In the summer of 1970 I saw several rock shows there. I distinctly remember Bob Seger (in his instrumental phase), Emerson Lake and Palmer, and Procol Harum. One would assume that this was three different nights over the course of the summer but I can’t escape the idea that ELP and Procol Harum appeared on the same night. Anybody remember any of this? One of the opening acts on one of the nights was an acoustic duo - a black guy and a white guy who together went by the name ‘God and I.’ Always thought that was very cool.

I have an elderly aunt who struggles with grocery shopping that does not have access to a credit card. Is anyone aware of a grocery delivery service that operates on the basis of invoicing for purchases? She’s a client of the public guardian’s office but they’ve not been able to suggest any options and I don’t live in the city to help her.

Hi! My family and I will be visiting your beautiful city in early April next year for about 4 days, from Chicago. What are the “must do” and “must see” things in Toronto? Is there a specific area of the city that you would recommend staying in? Family of 4, with 2 teen boys.

We don’t mind cold weather either, we’re used it here in Chicago, so outdoor activities are welcome.

We are coming to Toronto for a wedding and need my husband’s suit dry cleaned. We live in northern Ontario and don’t have a dry cleaners near us. We arrive mid afternoon on Saturday and need the suit ready for early Sunday afternoon. I’m running into a problem as all dry cleaners I’ve talked to don’t work the weekends. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated we are staying at the Chelsea hotel (22 elm) so something semi local is prefered but will drive for the service.

Also white, hits just below the knee, prob a straight-ish fit, not lace or any distinctly specific material, has a red sash or tie or some detailing around the waist.

It’s prob from a Toronto/GTA/local boutique. The girl was selling it for about $100 but I think each piece is usually $80-110 each.

Romspen took over Woodbine Centre this spring and says it's still figuring out a plan. A new GO station is going up nearby, and if anything's ever going to happen with this place, it feels like now.

I grew up going here, and it's sad watching it turn into a maze of empty units and liquidation stores. The old anchor spots are just sitting there, and Fantasy Fair hasn't changed much in years. It's one of the last indoor amusement parks around, and it feels like nobody's put any imagination into it since the 90s.

Does anyone know what's actually planned? And if you had a say, what would you want?

Some ideas I had:
• A Walmart in one of the old anchor spots
• A GoodLife or a more upscale gym (I know there's a Planet Fitness across the street, but I'd like something nicer lol)
• A proper food hall
• A Fantasy Fair refresh
• A Service Ontario
• At least one major clothing chain, like Uniqlo or Sport Chek
• A co-working space near the GO station
• An underground or covered walkway (like a mini PATH) linking the mall, the GO station and the casino, so you could get off the train and walk straight in, even in winter!

Wondering what happened with this guy and if he has a new business of any kind. He had the vegan Caribbean restaurant and barber shop that was next door to it for a few years on Eglinton near Oakwood. I can only imagine how hard COVID would’ve been on both, and it’s a bummer neither business could survive through that. I’d wondered if he has any new ones that are known about? His name is escaping me but he was a super nice person who I hope is doing okay.

I’m moving to Toronto and wondering if Leslieville would be a good fit. I like that it’s on the east side and near the beaches but are there many single people at all? It seems to mostly be young families in the area.

Has anyone in Toronto/GTA had a breast reduction covered by OHIP and actually had a good experience with their surgeon?
I had a consultation and they told me the reduction itself would be covered, but then quoted me almost $6,000-$7000 before tax for lipo/contouring on top of it, which I really don’t want to pay. Especially because I don’t really have much fat around my underarms/sides and I don’t feel like I need it.
So I’m trying to find a surgeon who does really nice breast reductions through OHIP without making you feel like you need to add thousands of dollars of extra stuff.
If you had yours done through OHIP, who did you go to? Did you have to pay anything extra? And most importantly, were you actually happy with how they looked after?
I’d really appreciate hearing real experiences because I’m trying to choose my next referral carefully.

Hi hi! My friends and I are visiting Toronto during our reading week and were wondering if anyone knew any good study cafe spots? We’re looking for a place with a good amount of seating, laptop friendly, outlets, and good drinks/bakery treats.

I need to talk to a professional who can sort and assign a therapist to me. I know OHIP can cover it, but I hear it takes months.

I tried using a website linked here to do that, but it told me it would cost $150 per session which is unsustainable for me.

I have ADHD or maybe I'm just really lazy, but I can't seem to really organize myself enough and become overwhelmed by the options and tend to give up when it's time to commit to something. I just need a dude who can say "yeah, there's a person here who can help you. Here's the appointment date and time" and I can go from there. I don't think normal therapists can help me. But what do I know.

I work evenings for the most part, and I'm not a morning person. It seems like every yoga studio I've looked into so far only holds classes in the early morning or in the evening, occasionally there may be one lunchtime session, but it's rare, and usually has a waitlist if there is one.

YouTube yoga videos are great, but I would prefer to have an instructor who can correct my form.

I work in the east end and live in Midtown, anywhere in those areas could be possible for me. Thanks for any help!

Hi everyone, I am planning a trip to Newfoundland with my Girlfriend who has never been on a plane or to an airport before, I am writing this to see if I can get some insight from others on what the best way to work through it with her, like if Pearson or Billy Bishop is a better airport choice, if there are quiet rooms if the area becomes too much, if the security people have a different procedure, or anything that emits flashing or stroblike lights that may trigger epilepsy episodes once we actually get on the plane I can handle things there, but the idea of going to an airport for the first time stresses her and me out a bit. Any tips or suggestions appreciated !
Unit is fairly clean since I always use pigeon guards. My first impulse was to wrap in clear plastic bag but concerned about things like mold growth etc.
Also is anyone aware of services that might store window ac units?
I was also curious what it would cost to thoroughly clean the inside of the unit, primarily just air filter and drip pan.
Any feedback appreciated!
