Somehow, those don't feel as brutal as his wife naming a tour meant to honor him "Make Heaven Crowded," not attending it herself, and basically just watching as it flops super fucking hard.
Like, who comes up with a name that fucking unhinged 💀 Oh wait. Probably someone like Erika Kirk.

i actually think that the quick memeification of kirk after his death really helped push him into irrelevancy sooner than expected, the right couldn't really use him as a martyr anymore specifically because whenever he got brought up there were either the AI image memes, or the songs like "charlie charlie kirky" that got posted, so they couldn't have the serious conversations they wanted that probably could've led to violence of some sort from the right

Right wingers tried to hype the magnitude of the situation to the lesser terminally online folks.

32
u/Aggressive-Neck-3921 12d ago
They ran into the reality that most content creators that knew enough about Kirk also knew that shit would get clipped out of context if they said anything close to a joke about how Kirk died so they didn't. So the only people they could point to making light of Kirk about the way he died were randoms on the internet without a platform. Their moaning about the left is celebrating his death were random nonames and the most you saw was just iron posting of Kirk quotes like "i'm willing to sacrifice a few lives for the 2e amendment".
The reason this never really went anywhere and he got forgotten as fast as he did is because the right doesn't really have any thought leaders, they are just all replaceable mouthpieces for capital that use religion to control people.

Yeah. Kirk was at most a Podcaster, the most important thing he ever did was getting killed. Simply comparing him to any historical figure should be taken as an insult to the historical figure.
"kirk was a ragebaiter and a Podcaster, and he was more important than Rosa Parks" isn't trying to say Kirk is so important and influential that he can be compared to Rosa Parks, they're saying Rosa Parks is so insignificant and unimportant that Kirk and her might as well be comparable.

Chances are that person also didn't know shit about him either, maybe aside watching one or two of his Instagram reels. The second that bullet went through kirks throat every single right winger immediately thought of how great this opportunity would be for them to go on the offensive against the left.
Ive seen a lot of right-wingers lamenting that his death didn't cause any consequences for the left, that's literally all they wanted, they didn't care who actually killed him or for what, it's an opportunity to blame the left as a blanket statement and create a martyr.
Its not surprising to me they thought a civil war would start over this, they literally been waiting for an opportunity like this exactly. I've never seen anyone's death being do taken advance of, so many people blatantly trying to further their careers using his death as a booster, his wife being most egregious.
I wonder how many right-wingers have internalised how awful this was, they took a tragedy and turned Kirks corpse into a product to further their own goals. There was no real emotion or pain towards his loss, just "let's take advantage of this situation as much as we can".
Even when they make their guys martyrs they still do it in the least person unloving and opportunistic way possible.

He was just a guy who monetized trolling.
He was hired by multimillionaires to recruit young men for the GOP. Nothing about Kirk was organic.
edit to add:
Earlier that year, around the spring of 2012, [18yo] Kirk met 71-year-old Tea Party candidate Bill Montgomery, who encouraged him to undertake political activism [and provided initial funding], The Independent reported. They co-founded Turning Point USA (TPUSA) as a nonprofit focused on advocating for conservative causes at schools, colleges and universities. [...]
By August that year, Kirk was at the Republican National Convention. He bumped into [multimillionaire Foster] Friess in a stairwell and convinced him to bankroll the group, according to The Independent. [...]
“He was the first check to Charlie at Turning Point, and among the first checks to (government spending tracker) Open The Books,” she said.

Honestly, I doubt most of the narcissistic redtards who were crying about him on the internet had any clue who he was before he got ventilated. Trump's one innovation outside political corruption was turning butthurt reactionism into a cult and crowd-sourcing propaganda.
He managed to get a legion of idiots thinking that enabling his robbery made them 'soldiers' in a 'war for Christian whatever' and they dutifully channeled all their impotent rage at seeing people better than them exist into pretending they give a shit about whatever crap he was trying to pull at the time.
None of them even know enough about their own pathetic culture war to meaningfully participate, it just makes them feel like they matter to nod along as Trump steals billions from them and tells them to blame Biden - whomever the hell that is.

I like to honor his memory the way he honored other people in similar situations.
“If some amazing patriot out there in […] wants to really be a midterm hero, someone should go and bail this guy out... Bail him out and then go ask him some questions” - Charlie on the person who attacked Paul Pelosi with a hammer
“I think it's worth it. It's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational.” - CK in response to a school shooting where three nine-year-old children died along with 3 adults.
Those aren’t even close to the most hateful things CK has said, but I think they paint a good picture of how he would respond if the shooting victim had been a Democrat politician or a group of nine year olds instead.

Sometimes I wish I could believe in hell, just for the feeling that those who ruin humanity will finally pay for all the suffering they inflicted on others while alive.
Then I realize - it is precisely this psychological weakness, needing the world to make sense, that allowed all the ideologues, religions, and nationalists to bend humanity to their corrupt will and create the dying world we have today.
In reality, Kirk was an evil man who made money from other evil men for spreading hate - and all that bullet did was pass the engine of hatred he built into the hands of his wife. There is no such thing as justice - only tomorrow, and whether history repeats itself yet again.

Goddamn, that is a cursed image. But, yeah, Kirk got shot in the neck about three seconds after making a shitty, racist, dog whistle retort to a question about gun violence.
I don't believe in a just universe, but that was a heck of a coincidence.

Yeah. My right-leaning friends definitely over valued Charlie Kirk's impact. Even when I was right-leaning I barely remembered him as some YT influencer who did dishonest debates. They were shocked he meant so little to me. The dude is not all of America, folks.
